Title: Cointral gold bitcoin cards - Turkey
Post by: ChiBitCTy on September 14, 2020, 03:48:44 PM
Just curios if anyone’s come across one of these before or heard of Cointral. I can’t seem to tell if the gold grams actually come imbedded in a card or if it’s all smoke for looks ( which is just stupid but common to do stuff like this as I see it all the time with collectibles ). English translation might be cutting this info out so I messaged them couple days ago but no reply so far so thought I’d check here.

Any Turkish collectors on here ? Don’t think so ? Might be worth posting in the Turkish board and seeing what responses you get  ;)

1 gram gold bar cost $62.67 which comes to 0.0059 BTC. So I went to the site from your provided link and tried to buy one card and when I checked the basket for the card it would cost me 0.00638840 BTC. So, I am guessing the gold bard is part of the card but please do not take my words for sure. You can always email the company to re-confirm. I could be wrong. Also anything over  10 Grams Gold the card is not displayed which make sense because the card would be too light for over 10 gram gold.

I am actually thinking about buying one. This is something different.

Thank you, Rainbowsky

I will be the guinea pig and buy one lol

scratch that - I cannot get past the order page - the button does nothing and eventually I get a 404 error - will try in a while or tomorrow.

Don't do it. I paid them and my order page vanished ... No email. Opened a support email.

(Call me a sucker but 60 bucks won't kill me hahaha).

Will update when/if they get back to me . I sent blockchain proof. ;)

Thanks.

Lol where did you even get that store link from? I went to the website listed on the card which appears to be an exchange and don't see any mention of a store or the link listed in OP, should remove link to prevent anyone else from falling to this scam.

To be fair, I did get a support reply email, so stop jumping to conclusions. Yeah there is some exchange page, but that's not the sale link. ::)

Why would the exchange supposedly selling it not have it on their website? I mean if coinbase or binance were selling I'm sure it'd be on their site, so again, my question is, where did the link come from?

Yes, I acknowledged in my first post the link in OP. However, where is this link initially posted/verified to be owned by the exchange? Ty can probably answer this question as you appear to have purchased without DYOR  ???

Edit: did some research on their twitter although can’t confirm it’s actually their account, however there is the link provided https://twitter.com/cointral/status/1301812441479819265?s=21 (https://twitter.com/cointral/status/1301812441479819265?s=21)

i think what rxalts is trying to say is if you go to cointral.com (the address on the card) there is no link to the "store" page - so he may be suggesting that cointral.com and cointral.store are not the same entity?

Wow this thread turned out great  :D  I’m pretty darn sure this thread is a “info seeking” and not a WTS.  This is crypto, it very well could be a scam.  If you check my topics I’ve been posting stuff I find and think is kinda cool for years.  We are also on a worldwide website and very easily could have a Turk or two who stops by time to time.  You newer guys prob don’t realize how many people lurk here and never make posts ..but some at times will chime in when they see something they can help with.

Edit - RX I have no clue how I found this, like most stuff I find. I go down rabbit holes at times when I’m bored.

Bottom of the site. Under "Products" you can find "Cointral Store" -> cointral.store

Guys... CTRL/CMD+F.

Edit - Refunded - Good people IMO, but should remove ordering options to USA. ::)

Thanks for updating us.  These guys are for sure not running their business very well. They still have not gotten back to me on my question..which is about making a purchase, has to make you wonder.  Not like they knew where I am located either.

Owl did you happen to get any info from them about whether these are cards with gold embedded in them or if they are just going to send you some ingots?

I'm sick of Covid being an excuse for shit shipping. I get it if shipping is slow as all hell, but how is covid making all these packages disappear? All these mailing systems need major overhauls.

dunno why shipping is an issue - in the past 3 weeks I have shipped to Hungary, Australia, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Ukraine, Indonesia and New Zealand with no issues.
