Title: [LIST] DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread - LAST UPDATE: 26/11/2020 Post by: bullrun2024bro on September 15, 2020, 05:27:50 PM DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread Last Update: 26.11.2020 DeFi (Decentralized Finance) has been on everyone's lips since the beginning of 2020 and new projects are constantly being added. Even experienced users find it difficult to keep an overview here. Unfortunately, cases of fraud in DeFi projects have also been increasing recently, because similar to the ICO hype in 2017, the DeFi hype in 2020 also attracts a large number of scammers. The purpose of this thread is to create an overview-like list in which it should be briefly displayed whether a new DeFi project is an obvious scam. Thanks to all the users who are sharing their recent finds here on the Scam-Accussation board! You are doing an awesome job in protecting the community against these scammers:

After seeing scammers recent activities with DeFi oriented money stealing projects personally i was thinking to create a list about DeFi related scam projects but suddenly got your thread today on German board. So i thought a similar thread should be in this section for increasing entire forum users awareness. Keep giving regular updates and save newbies from getting scammed. Good luck. Title: Re: [LIST] DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread Post by: Rikafip on September 15, 2020, 06:14:30 PM It's a good idea to have all of them in one place, good job @bullrun2020bro! Be ready to update that list quite often as those scams are getting on popularity each day and it doesn't look like it will pass anytime soon.
One would think that people learned something from ICO bubble, but as we can see situation is even worse as scams without whitepaper, team and any original idea are raising millions. Back then some of those ICOs at least have appearance of legitimacy while this is on a completely different level. Title: Re: [LIST] DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread Post by: notblox1 on September 15, 2020, 06:23:40 PM Good idea bullrun2020bro, but you would need many pages to list all defi scams, because they are showing up every minute and this is worse than ICO scams back in the days.
This is only hurting all healthy crypto space in the long run, but people are greedy and don't care as long as they make profit. Yes, please do try to keep it updated--and it's unfortunate that it's a list that's going to keep on growing, but I think we all know that's a fact. How long the list will eventually get will depend on how the DeFi space develops. I'm really hoping that it doesn't follow the course of the ICO boom and bust and that there's actually something of substance to DeFi. As of this moment I'm not convinced there's anything of real value to it, and there's certainly a lot of hype. One would think that people learned something from ICO bubble, but as we can see situation is even worse as scams without whitepaper, team and any original idea are raising millions. Scammers only learn how to scam better, and the suckers....well, they never seem to learn, no matter how many times they've been scammed. All the hype surrounding DeFi--that's why those projects can raise millions. Everyone wants in on the new thing that's going to make them rich. That part of the story is the same no matter what thing we're talking about, and people don't seem to realize that it's nearly impossible to become wealthy without much effort. Ah, well. We'll see how long this list gets. I'm going to bookmark it. Title: Re: [LIST] DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread Post by: bullrun2024bro on October 13, 2020, 11:57:50 AM Another quick update (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276012.msg55201771#msg55201771) for the thread. This time I added five projects to the DeFi-scam list.
Last Update: 13.10.2020 13/10/2020
Concerning YYFI.Protocol: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5275220.msg55179550#msg55179550) They clearly plagiarized some parts of an old whitepaper (Loligo). Thanks to @Jawhead999, who found out about this case. I find they're doing plagiarism from a dead coin named Loligo. This is some red flags I found... I also added two clones to the list (YearM.Finance (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5280802.0) & FreeUniSwap (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5279912.0)). Both entries might not be separate projects, but both are DeFi-related scams. And since the original projects UniSwap and Yearn.Finance are currently being hyped, I thought it would be a good idea to make people aware that there are several clones/fakes out there. Always make sure you are entering the correct website - don't fall for clones and never share your private key! If you don't know how the format looks, please check the following guide: Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0) I also updated (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276012.msg55201771#msg55201771) the thread once again and added two projects to the DeFi scam list: Last Update: 17.11.2020 17/11/2020
Yes, very nice summary of the 2nd biggest plague that hit 2020, defi scams. But i'm affraid you have your work cut out for you by updating the list, as there's like 5 new defi scams popping up every day. Don't worry. I guess everyone knows that we won't be able to add every DeFi scam out there to the list in the OP. Nevertheless I don't think that's a huge problem - in my opinion the thread briefly describes how dangerous the DeFi space is and how many scams are out there. The thread is a reminder to users to be careful and stay alert before investing in a new project. Title: Re: [LIST] DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread - LAST UPDATE: 06/11/2020 Post by: Marvelman on November 22, 2020, 01:37:56 PM I guess you can add this scam project to the list too: [ANN] Anonyme 🌟 An Autonomous Interest Rate Protocol (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5288431.0) No team, no whitepaper... just a shiny website and token sales. You are absolutely right. The project looks fishy as hell and is likely another DeFi scam. Unfortunately the thread was deleted by the moderators already. Did you archive it? However, there is a google cache archive here: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php%3Ftopic=5288431.0 There is an Anonyme bounty thread active on the forum and stupid bountyhunters still report their activity there. ;D [BOUNTY] Anonyme 💰 1 ANON = 1 USD (5 Million Tokens = 50k USD) 4 Weeks Duration (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5288737.0;topicseen) archive: https://archive.is/Z8tLJ Title: Re: [LIST] DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread - LAST UPDATE: 06/11/2020 Post by: Rikafip on November 22, 2020, 03:03:38 PM No, unfortunately I did not archive their ANN topic but I am glad that the moderators deleted it. However, there is a google cache archive here: Anonyme thread was deleted because they were giving away tokens in exchange for ANN comments, therefore breaking the forum rules. Good riddance imho, as it was spammed by bunch of newbie accounts wanting to get few dollars worth of that shitcoin.https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php%3Ftopic=5288431.0 As @bullrun2020bro told you, if you think that Anonyme is most likely a scam, open a topic in Scam accusation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) and if it's your first topic there, follow the format that you can find in the pinned message. Now, indeed, every new project that appears on the market necessarily refers to the DeFi sector, even if it is not. Scammers also see the hype that accompanies these projects, and also call their scam DeFi to attract additional investor attention to their fraud. So we will still see a lot of scams around DeFi, and the OP will not be left without work. OK, I'll do that if I notice they've opened a new ANN thread. Thank you. Good thing the OP is adding his last update here so we know projects which created after that have not yet seen for review. And more than likely, we will end up with only few legit DeFi platforms. Seeing all these blunders ranging from plagiarism, phishing websites to fake team members, repeating those over and over again. I added the following eleven projects to the DeFi scam list:
