Few hours earlier one of the most used online banking app in India has been removed by Google's playstore and the reason told for this temporary removal is Paytm violates Google's gambling policies.

May be the reason for the removal is because of their advertisement in the app for fantasy sports and there are reports coming out that google have sent warning mails to many applications to warn users before displaying these gambling based advertisements in their application.

Google policies goes against the gambling apps which makes none of the gambling apps to be places in their google market which applies to lot of poker games and even Dream 11.Now voices starts to chant against Paytm for involvement of selective scam through these gambling app and request Indian government to ban this app as well since the majority of share holder of Paytm is from China.

But now they have added it back; dunno what negotiations have taken place. BTW they have even warned Hotstar app as it shows adverts of Dream11.

Probably paytm removed that feature from their app or just made dedicated app for fantasy! There is another debate why Paytm should be removed after banning some chinese apps for the second time earlier thins month since majority of shares are owned by Alibaba.

Still Government is not giving any attention to that!

I don't think the govt has given the reason that Chinese owned apps are banned; it is got to do with "Data Security", per se.

But at the end of the day it is plain politics and optics and no legitimate argument has been forwarded so far.

Exactly,if China owns the shares or company then their are in the position of taking decisions related to anything, we can never sure all the bank transactions on paytm were stored on India only even if it does then China company has access to it and can report it to China as per India's politics.
