I have just installed windows 7 64bit and I am having problems mining scrypt. I know newer versions of cgminer do not support scrypt mining I have downloaded cgminer 3.1.1 which I know is good when i start it I get --scrypt: unrecognized option my GPU is gigabyte R9-280X I have the latest catalyst and amd sdk accelerator installed bfgminer works but I couldn't make it mine more than 570kh. normally my GPU works at around 750kh anyone can help on cgminer please? thanks Title: Re: can't get cgminer to work with R9-280X Post by: sesko on March 23, 2014, 04:03:13 PM Maybe you have cgminer version 3.10.1
only versions up to 3.7.2 are working with scrypt. Title: Re: can't get cgminer to work with R9-280X Post by: Kaishi on March 23, 2014, 04:05:26 PM Yep, that basically sounds like you've ended up with a version of cgminer that doesn't support scrypt somehow.
I've used version (3.7.2) without problem with a R9-280x on Win7 64. Give it a try. Title: Re: can't get cgminer to work with R9-280X Post by: bitkokos on March 23, 2014, 04:16:34 PM duh, yeah
by mistake I downloaded 3.11 I can't find 3.1.1 for windows. EDIT: I found 3.7.2 and it's working. Now I have to figure the settings to make it work at 720kh+ |
