Title: First Part of ETH 2.0 Is Formally Submitted
Post by: hulla on September 18, 2020, 06:24:31 PM
After a lot of delays and some technical testing which yield inappropriate result, a news was posted on decrypt (https://decrypt.co/42022/the-first-part-of-ethereum-2-0-is-formally-submitted) about the most critical phase of most anticipated Ethereum 2.0  to be formally submitted by a Core developer Danny Ryan which the open-source code is already available on GitHub (https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pull/2982) for community review.

Is it possible for ETH2.0 to be totally launched this year?

Nothing really happened.

A lot of eyes are on etehreum right now, and when it finally start moving to proof of stake I expect a huge price spike.
We are there yet, and after a lot of delays (delayed since 2017) I really don't like to create many expectations....

If it is delayed again and postphoned to 2021, we might have a huge dump.... people may start to discredit the project roadmap and previsions.

I think it is going to launch this year, unless there is one vulnerability in the code this could push forward the launch, Vitalik said it is going to launch this year and people have started betting on it, just check the number of address holding 32Ether you can see that it has greatly increase.

Holders on the ethereum network are expectant of the launch of eth 2.0 and it has already been delayed for long, but that being said, I doubt people will dump their eth, if 2.0 isn't launched this year. Ethereum price is doing very good now and even if eth 2.0 is not launched this year, I think people will use the chance to accumulate more ethereum, till version 2.0 is launched (which will prolly set a very good price appreciation in motion)
Is it possible for ETH2.0 to be totally launched this year?
It's possible, I'm sure the developers are working to make it a possibility this year, but it's been delayed in the past, so I'll not be surprised if we have to wait till 2021 for ethereum 2.0.

Eth 2.0 mainnet is expected to go live by November this year and according to my info mainnet will also bring the long awaited change to pos algorithm and also sharding that is expected to make eth network efficient and improve its capacity a lot.
I am all in for eth 2.0 release this year and feeling excited and bullish for it.

The launch of the zero phase is possible this year, and as i remember Vitalik said that the full launch will take place only in 2022, although the activity of developers on github now is record, but there is still a lot of work.

As far as i know Eth 2.0 is already in testing phase from many months. Some people paniced due to some bug but later the developers announced that it was a m8nor issue and will be taken care of. So the work was continued and now the time for mainnet is fast approaching as it was announced by Vitalik Buterin to be in November. We will have to wait and see what exact features are launching in the mainnet if it launches in november, i hope scalability issues would be the top priority and they will be addressed in this update.

It's highly possible that ETH 2.0 will launch this year as promised .may be in November and the DEFi hype is helping it's part too. But the full fledge working one will take 1-2 years more

It's good that the first part of ETH 2.0 is out in the public GitHub repo, but still it looks like a long way to go for Ethereum to release it fully and go on productive. And if another there is another delay? yeah, could be a huge dump and I think the people behind the project really know this or has taken this into consideration based on the previous delay. And that's why to quell the public, they have to release the first part to show that it is on schedule. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there will be delays again though, I hope that I'm wrong.

That's a long wait though. But I guess eth team will launch something this year, and I hope they will not fail their supporters who are waiting for so long already.

Just to give a small glimpse on what's going on and to show that they are really working on it. Delays is always inevitable if they are aiming to have a perfect system.

I'm not technically good with those codes or what's in it. I'll just wait for some technical experts to explain at what we're really at and if this update tells something good about the 2.0.

Everyone is expecting for the 2.0 launching and hopeful that there's the significance that it will also end the high fees that we're experiencing.

I hope this is it, the most anticipated to Ethereum volume 2.0. The upgrade of proof of stake from proof of work, this new consensus mechanism will technically help to fasten the transaction and have of the perspective of scalability improvement of the network which pretty good. I'm not good technically but I hope this new update of Ethereum will boost the price and bring the new ATH.

This a great news and it's really needs a new update because the Defi applications projects have been grown. As we witnessed that there is a congestion of transaction recent days ( huge fees )that makes everyone disappoint to Ethereum.

November is their target date, so what like two months from now? So still a lot of time for them to really 'perfect' this ETH 2.0 and I'm sure if this is going to be release as plan or even a slight delay this year? the altcoin market will really took off, with all the Defi and UNI or Sushi swap going on. They know, that's why they're definitely working 24x7 to stay on track and hype the price of ETH to $500 or even more.

I don't mean to sound pessimistic but we really need to see eth 2.0 soon. We have been waiting for a long time now and other competitive projects are fast developing. The sooner eth 2
P is active the better.
