Due to quarantine since colleges were closed I decided to take in few homeless animals. But unfortunately after one came the other , I have been trying to find houses for a lot of them and working with my local shelter , even right now I received a call how someone threw a puppy in the woods but unfortunately I have 5 animals at home right now who needs attention and owners are not as lenient with foreign students when it comes to animals. I have been hiding them somehow.

These are the recent addition to the family , someone threw them in garbage , I don't know what kind of people.

You did a good job and best of luck. Though I am not from your country. In my area, very few peoples care about animals. In this pandemic, I tried to feed the streets animals. And taken care of 3 cats and 2 dogs in my home. Keep it up man.

Thank you for doing this! It's always sad to see shelters full of animals. Unfortunately, many people consider animals just as a toy. They throw animals away when they become old or ill or cause some troubles or inconvenience at home. And worst kind of people is these who throw these little kittens or puppies to garbage, leave it somewhere in forest or even try to drown them.
I would like to help, but I have already adopted dog and cat  from shelter and I doubt that they would accept other animals at home. And in current situation it would be difficult to adopt animal from other country. I already support animal shelter in my city. But maybe I can help you with small donation.

Right now I have talked with the shelter there have been many frauds and such regarding the donations so if you guys are interested I would provide you with the shelter's site and number of the owner , no donation will come to me and I would provide you guys with vet receipts.

One of the kitten is good but one needs to be hospitalized , he is not able to keep down the food I don't know what is wrong. The only problem is the kittens were thrown too soon and they are barely a month old.

They already got blood transfusion and food has been changed 4 times already. Their food costs 1.99 USD for 195g. The campaigns are helping me do this job , we recently saved a dog from parvo and got her sterilized but there was no one else who wants to keep so she is with us.

(Please be sure that am doing nothing to gain profit here , I am just trying to reach out to sources and connect with people making a small home based shelter. )

I always feel good whenever I watch or read something related to animal cares, most specially if it's voluntary like yours, I always admire people like you who took care and always do care on animals. I hate those people who treats animals like a garbage, they're disgusting, my blood is boiling whenever I see humans harrasing them.

What you do for animals is amazing.  We used to have a pet dog, a few times as well.  Today's case is no longer possible because we have a food business.  But there are times when cats come in here with us, maybe no one owns them.  When they are here, it is noticeable that they are hungry and begging to be given food and that is exactly what I do.  Here with us, animals such as cats and dogs are not allowed to be harmed because there is a law in place to give them protection.  I hope there is someone here near you who can give help ...

How sweet and loving are you mate,it is very rare that there are someone cares about abandoned and strayed animals.
I am a Dog and Cat owner also but i have no enough time to orphan them so whenever there are some stray cats and dog i found in streets i usually pick up them to bring in our local animal shelter or called them to pick them up.

It is sad that i am far from your country but i am extending my sympathy in your objective,Hoping that those animals will find another family that will love them because of your effort.

It's unfortunate here , the kittens were delivered to me by my local shelter and apparently for 2-3 days they kept talking with me but now since they have like numerous kittens and puppies already they stopped caring for them. I am sharing their posts everywhere , every forum and social media in hope that they find a home.
The little kitten was very sick but thank god today he stopped vomiting finally and first time ate in 3 days.

For a foreigner it's not allowed to take more than 2 pets back home(I have 3 :( ) therefore I cannot adopt them , when I go home I cannot abandon them , therefore am looking for good hosts. I have arranged the documents for one pet in someone else's name therefore I cannot do it for both of them :( , otherwise I would have kept these teddy bears.

Sorry to hear that the problem is here people don't care about Animals , when I came here I was so shocked to see how they treat them , therefore I decided to make a little change for the time am going to stay here.

Unfortunately I have received so many requests to ship them off to other countries which is definitely not possible because of tons of requirements and even the cost, but people here are horrendous , only some of them are helping them here and they too receive hardships from the neighbors.

Just because my rescued dog scratched the bed they decided it was worth 100$ fine for the apartment !! Things like that happens everyday.

If someone is from Italy or Poland I would be able to help , I have a lot of friends from there and it would not be hard transporting them. Just some documentation would be needed but rest would be okay.

If someone wants to adopt puppies and rabbits too , I would be able to help. 🤍 Please don't buy from the shops , they are death sentences for the mothers and fathers of those babies.

This is how we got them , they were in a plastic bag , someone did open it but did not take them home , they were sitting on the busy road for hours waiting for their mother which we don't know anything about , someone just ran over a cat so we think that might be her , but these babies starved for 2 days , then got a lot of care at the vet they thought they won't make it , especially the white one , he just started eating today after 3 days .

But right now they are the most needy and loud kittens ever.

Meanwhile the puppy I rescued from parvo and abusive owners helps me take care of them.
They are fearless and strong ⭐ would be the best addition to someone's family.

I'm not a cat person but those kittens looks so cute. I would love to have a puppy of my own, probably a good breed if possible to care and share my home with. The only challenge is going to be about the border issue you mentioned else, I like the idea of adoption.
Poisoning domesticated animals seems so much extreme. For a fact, we took them in from the wild and made them our companion for various reasons and when we fail to train them, is the best step poisoning or killing them?... I guess not!

I have many puppies of breed as you mentioned in my care , but I do believe that any breed will do as long as they love you and vice versa.

This was the sick kitten , since he was separated from the mother too soon , he had gastritis and food allergies, luckily after 5 tries , we found the formula he could tolerate.

Every 4 hours he needs medications otherwise he cannot keep anything down and goes into dehydration.

See a lot of you asked how you guys can help , I do believe all the people that commented here do have a soft spot for the animals and therefore I believe if everyone here would stop animal cruelty and stand against these horrible situations that these poor little creatures have to face , we will have a better society, who knows maybe you can inspire a lot of people to do the same ?

Kittens and puppies are really cute.  True, animal love is not measured by the breed of an animal.  Just for the person, you will accept what he looks like, or what he has and does not have.  I salute those like you who do such things.  Those who are willing to help anyone or anywhere without asking for compensation.  Maybe, you have been brought together and destined for you to own them as well.  Now that no one has adopted them yet, it is also a big help to share your stories on social media platforms to inspire others and open the eyes and minds of others that we should also value and love those animals because they are part of the ecosystem, God also created them just like us who were given life.  That way, we can somehow help share it with our friends.

But one cat in our care have gotten persistent asthma and unfortunately some inhuman animal threw out pregnant dog who gave birth in the middle of the road during a 2 day consistent thunderstorm.

The mother was still bleeding from the birth when we found her, the puppies and mom needs to be transported and need immediate medical attention. I have taken care of all that , but we need someone who can donate food for her , I have limited funds and already taking care of 5 animals , if someone is interested please message me , I would give you guys link to the rescue operation we are doing for the mom and the newborn puppies tomorrow , it's flooding here , due to excessive rain everywhere is filled with puddles and therefore it's very easy for them to catch hypothermia.

Me and some of my friends , we had the opportunity to rescue mom and her babies from a busy road in a market , they were thrown in a dump.
Mom is pitbull mix and have 9 puppies. Some of them are injured since they were below a pile of rubbish, some people are just hopeless.

It's been a week and I Believe now we should start looking for some new owners to adopt the puppies and the mom alike.

I couldn't keep them at home since I already have so many here and 10 people were a little bit more, so we have paid for an overexposure. If someone is interested and want to adopt them. Please let me know.

The baby food is for the Foster kittens + optimeal because most of them are sick. We take the sick ones who have no chance of surviving.

Again we have now 3 more cats for adoption , it been really hard this week since there is mass poisoning happening in Ukraine and police did nothing till there was countless applications and unfortunately more than 20 animals died in a week.

Some we knew , cared for, some were just looking for a kind hand offering food.

There is literally no execution of laws for the welfare of animals in Ukraine, government doesn't care!! Thats why every week , we find more abandoned pets , more abused animals.

Again , we got application for the last kitten but we are still not sure about her home , the first two needs house immediately.

They all are very beautiful and kind, loves humans even though they have been though a lot.

It is sad to think that your government does not care about pets.  Hopefully, they will be given protection as well.

I tried to find groups on Facebook of pet lovers or can adopt there in Ukraine but almost all the results are here with us.  I will try again with your native language.  I saw one in public, Cats in Ukraine.  But I'm not sure if the ones they post are for sale but you can try to post maybe someone is interested or someone wants to adopt them even if there is no breed.

This is just my opinion, so don't be offended:
Animals should be in nature and not arrested and abused by human.

Offcourse, it's your opinion, but I think you're completely wrong. Cats and dogs were domesticated few thousands years ago. What you're offering to do now? Just let them to live in nature and ignore all homeless animals? Cats and dogs aren't wild animals, they wouldn't survive in the nature. Also, homeless animals cause problems, they spread diseases and growth of their population isn't controlled.

Amazing work OP. Keep up your best and do whatever possible for these pets. Around January in our premises a Cat had came and then stated to live in our premises. Later on she gave a birth to Kitten and all in our premises are so good with Cat and Kitten that in a separate corner we got a cattery so that in night can stay in that and during the day she keeps roaming in our premises. Food, milk etc we all members get it on regular basis and then divide the contribution. Hopefully, may have some spare amount to send you in coming time.

Actually I don't bring any animal home , I cannot , I have limited space , funds and thus cannot even take them out of their natural habitat , what I do is, I take those who are injured, who have some problems , diseases , parasites , wounds. We treat them then get them adopted.

I believe we are not stripping them off their natural habitat but helping them in whatever way we can.

Thank you everyone else for the support, the second small kitten went today to a small family , we have now these three and I got someone who is helping me to take care of them , since I already have 3 at home and 3 outside the house , they are adjusted into a temporary house now and I have started getting more and more information regarding the people who genuinely helps them , so they are messaging me and we are coordinating with them.

The local shelters are full and therefore we cannot even bother talking with them but we are trying to have a home based small shelter where we foster animals a bit till they find home and go to places where people report some abuse or some abandoned pet.

Then again , it's really small and the real reason I thought of sharing it was because there are wonderful people here , some even helped me , so I believe by this particular thread , I want to inspire people even a little bit or maybe make someone go to their local shelter to adopt ? I don't know but I believe we should come together and end the injustice since we are the future of the society and I firmly believe that we need a lot of changes right now.

Hello guys 🐱 Today I thought I would share a story of my recent rescue with you maybe it could inspire someone to go and rescue some animals from the shelter.

I go to our nearest shelter where they don't have electricity or water and it's snowing this time of the year. They have around 350+ dogs and a lot of new baby puppies. Apparently when I was helping them out normally, I found this little mamma dog being transported inside the cages. She was looking for her puppies and in her cage were 5 more dogs and she wasn't getting along with anyone. Everyone was biting her but they could not put her anywhere else since they didn't have a lot of free cages. I couldn't take her since I already have 5+ animals at home and 2 of them were new Foster kittens.

The day after a received a call how she had stopped eating and not even drinking water. This was her face when I went to see her^

She knew something that I didn't. Well the same day in the middle of the night around 12 am I went to get her from the shelter since I couldn't sleep, couldn't focus, she literally sat there waiting for me.

The shelter is 5.2 km away in an abandoned area , kind of like fields but yes super scary , as I walked alone with her out of the shelter she kept on smiling. Such a weird dog I thought. I was sure someone was going to adopt such a sweetheart. She was around 2 years old and was as small as a cat.

But who knew she had different plans...

I was so scared that she will bite the other kittens and dogs since I rent a 1bhk and there is literally no way I will leave them outside in the yard. We came home, gave her a bath, we were literally scared for our cats since she didn't like them but since it's lockdown and my college is off therefore I decided, well I can very well stay at home.

The shelter have so many dogs, puppies, sick ones, one's without legs even some who cannot see, but the government they don't fund the shelter, it's literally on a brink, people come and drop off some food , clothes , whatever they can.

I have more than 100 pictures of the condition they are living in. Since it's pandemic, people don't really go there anymore. 2 girls work as volunteers and they go out on walks only once in a while. I was only able to save candy from here and I cannot really go there everyday since right now I have a mini rescue shelter at home too.

This is her now , enjoying her life. Apparently two people came to see her, to adopt her but Ms. Candy wanted to bite them. She literally is the most grateful, the most gentle and beautiful creature I have ever seen but apparently she doesn't wanna go now. Lol yeah so I have a total of 5 pets now.

She is a better guard dog than my dog and she loves , literally loves my rabbit.

Her smile is so weird , like she knew this was going to happen. See I understand that because of the quarantine I cannot ship them to some other country or get them adopted afar. But I believe it all comes down to if you are ready to give a homeless animal home. I believe you can all take a trip to your nearest shelter and try and see if you find someone who literally would be grateful for a roof over their head , a bowl and ofcourse a lot of love.

The situation is dire and I believe we all can change it. I really met such good people here who are willing to adopt but unfortunately during the pandemic I cannot see how it will go though. So how about you guys try and share stories of your rescue pets too ? Maybe someone will get inspired to make a trip down to their nearest shelter?


I managed to relocate the two baby kittens , the mama pitbull , her babies died because of parvovirus that was really unfortunate. Other than that we rescued a pregnant mom cat , she is happy and living in a temporary shelter and two other cats who were thrown outside.

I can share many more stories... If someone wants some advice on cats/dogs/bunnies , maybe if you don't know if it would be right , you can message me 24*7 , I could help and see if I can support you in any way.

How i wish all people out here are Animal Lovers like us ,so if at any chance those who lives near you or in same country can extend hands having one of them
But the sad part is only Few Knows how to value them as Having a Feeling and only wanted to live Happy and Being loved.

i am far from animal shelters since i live in the center of the city where Shelters are not available ,all of the captured animals are being transported in
Near provinces weekly to stay and may "Bring to Sleep forever " if not being adopted in a certain period of time.
Each time i visit there i make sure that i have already spoken to some friends or family who wants to adopt Dog or Cat ,so I will
take some of the sheltered animals to deliver and have their own family.

Let us accept the reality that We cannot same all of them but we can do our very best to at least find Home for them.


I have 2 cats and 3 Dogs now, with a pair of Hamster and a Breed Turtles ,and my place have more than enough to add more so
i can only Find them place to live but cannot adopt more,How i wish i'm a millionaire to make a animal sanctuary for the abandoned .

I love your work, I wanted to adopt one or more of your cats if only I was living in EU. I can't even donate because I am getting by too. The only thing that I have is an idea on what to do. If I may suggest, you might look into creating a big shelter for your project. I do not know much about the laws but there should be something that you can do about it. You also should set up, different kinds of channels to donate to your cause like Patreon, Buymeacoffee, and your bitcoin. You also can register the shelter as charity so it can help you unburden with your taxes. I hope that you continue your work because only a few does this kind of thing especially at this day and age.

Yes thank you so much , I have been thinking of doing this but unfortunately right now am working two jobs and also have 3 more years of college left. Therefore I literally have no free time. I have thought about doing this when I start earning because even though I might get some funds it's really expensive so I would have to start on my own and use my own money for the starting therefore I only invested like 500-700$ got some cages, food , doors , clothes , harness , toys etc... and just made our rented house a little zoo. Lol my friends call it that.
At the same time when am rescuing someone going around running I cannot always remember to make videos of them suffering and all that , I just take pictures, so I might try and compile it all in a video and see if am able to raise some funds for the shelter. As for me I have been working for duelbits Campaign and it literally helped me a lot. Getting 50$ every week actually helped me fund for the new cages, litter, food etc. I am really thankful for the forum and the campaign for this🙏 and people like you who encourage me for doing better.


Yes I do hope more people like you exist 🙏 the society is right now at such dark age and the only thing we can make this right is by being kind to animals, people, by helping others and being the best version of ourselves.

Rescuing an animal is extremely fulfilling, they literally make our life happier and love us more than anything. 💖💖

This girl destroys toys within 5 minutes of them coming no matter how expensive, how strong they are , she even tries to eat stones , plastic !!! Even glass , she is crazy !!

I also forgot on my other post, you can also try to go to crowdfunding websites like GoFundMe, IndieGoGo and other same type of one time support for your project. Patreon and the like is more of a constant support for your project. Hope that my advice can help you a little even though the only thing I contributed is ideas.

I am living in Europe but originally from India thus it's funny for many people that my dog actually eats whatever we eat. She ofc gets dog food too but she is wonderful in that matter.

I was able to get a lot of animals adopted during quarantine. We helped out in the shelter every weekends and found an abused dog. We named her cookie. She is 5 months old and we trained her for 47 days, she can follow commands, she is extremely beautiful, she is a half-German Shepherd. She was dragged though leashes when we first saw her. She is still afraid of leash but we are teaching her. The first day she came, she was extremely sick and did not even know how to keep her head up. Would growl and bite us. She actually came such a long way but unfortunately we could not find anyone till now for her. Is there anyone living in Ukraine? I will deliver anywhere.
-We would sign documents regarding your ownership and how you would have to return her to me if there is any problem in the future.
-I would keep in touch everyday and guide you every second.
We cannot keep her, I already have 6 pets in the house+ 1 foster+3 big dogs outside+7 small kittens which we have to feed and I just got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease ( Lichen Planus) therefore everyday I have to keep taking more and more injections and I unfortunately don't have any strength or funds. Therefore cookie would be my last foster till I recover till the point that I am able to go 6 hours without an injection at least.
It would mean a lot if you could share her post. Maybe you know someone from Ukraine. Borders are closed and I do not want her to be stressed since this is a special case. She needs a lot of love and attention. She is good with dogs and cats but would need at least a week to trust you or maybe more. She has been abused previously and therefore she would not walk on leash that easily, she thinks you would beat her, the moment you bring the chain out and would hide. But she is trained to walk without leash in the yard and knows how to ask to go to toilet. She loves kisses and specific people.
