Hello, friends just wanted to start a thread on what you guys think your list of top Defi projects would be say a top 10 list? .. Also will NEO RIVAL ETHEREUM in this space?

There's a better smartcontract platform that worthed to be called as a competitor for ethereum and it was polkadot. NEO has already lost its demand and so many new projects didn't even interested to use it as a tokenization again. That means NEO will not become a competitor for ethereum again.

Do you wanna start a new thread that discussed about the top 10 DEFI? My first pick should be UNI and the second place was YFI. Both were legit defi projects.
I think that you may create a new one in the service discussion section.

Interesting I figured Neo did lose its chance and the fact many projects dissed it only makes things worse... but Polkadot has some potential Ill start a defi thread in the service discussion section asap...

Too bad for neo to be able not to caught with ethereum defi hype. I like neo before but they are so quiet and didnt not make any such good news for a while. Working development and good platform but still Im an ethereum fan, that looking out for good defi projects. Unfortunately didnt enter on yfi during the time they are on cheap sale.

I am using DEFI and UNISWAP, both are solid projects and both are competitors to each others, and also sushi is a fork of uni.

Why i like them, because they are solid, been around for a while, great team and big community.

What i dont like? there are many scams listed on the exchanges, uniswap is the worst because like 95% are scams, but besides that all is good.

OMG, what are you talking about? Uniswap is a decentralized exchange. DeFi (not DEFI) is not a project. It's an abbreviation for decentralized finance. You can find more info on what is DeFi here (https://www.cityam.com/what-is-decentralized-finance-defi/). So you see, they are not competitors to each other.

Scammers are there, where the money is. Everybody can appear a token at the Ethereum network which has the same name like the originally has.

Scammers are everywhere, i don't think it's only Uniswap. Your point was good but basically eveyone can add their own tokens on Uniswap so we can't generalize it. Basically it's depend on yourself, Just be more careful and you will be good. Anyway Chainlink it's good too, You guys have other recommendation?

After altcoins pump, when thought we miss the party but if YFI price dump again to 1-2 thousand, do you really buy it? We can't earn from every top pump coin, but now we can invest in any coin. I agree that NEO blockchain is a very slow developing process. CoinGecko isn't good for me to track any top DeFi projects. After this DeFi hype, we could see another hype because Bitcoin halving is finished.

Are you interested in what projects will give 10-100x profit?

Farming will soon get tired of everyone, already now the prices of tokens are falling faster than farming brings profit.

It is not the time to support any blockchain or be partisan not to place investment in the right place. There are too many blockchain coins on the top marketcap that have very little addition this year to the space in term of fund and blaze trailing project. There are chances they might be left behind in this market and some delisted, the whole market are more of the financial value that the space or coin can add.

The list in CMC and coingecko alone will help guide crypto users to check on these DeFi projects.
Because if you will go to other DeFi ranking website, you don't know if their ranking is biased or not.
Since most of them are being paid, you have no idea if their feedback also is being rigged.
So just go to CMC or coingecko and check each DeFi project on your own.

fraud will always occur anywhere, especially in a new system so it is the job of those who want to take advantage of the lack of understanding of many people. caution is needed and do not be quick to believe
even so, we really appreciate it if the system is running well and there is no interference from people who take advantage of the opportunity.

I strongly agree that chainlink is one that needs to be recommended even though it is currently down, but as a whole from the start it seems that chainlink is quite potential. deserves to be a good investment.

As for the DeFi project, I am still confused even though I am also following the DeFi project campaign at this time, this is only because the DeFi trend is sticking out well in the crypto space, so I chose it, but for a good future I also can't predict it until when this DeFi project will last, in essence, just use your time for opportunities that are open.

I got a bag if fiscus.fyi (https://fiscus.fyi/). I like the governance model it actually feels like a community with people pitching in to do various tasks.

The list entails volume. So if the defi list has no certain volume there is likely they will be removed. Thats how the coinmarketcap works. It is ranked and list by marketcap and volume.

Personally my thoughts on this is it will be more volatile when it comes on the position cause some later comer projects enter the list and remove some top notch players.

but they have been unfair to the DeFi project HEX

I can't Rank any DeFi Project for now because this is just the beginning and there are a lot of greater Defi projects coming. For NEO, i think NEO can never rival Tron Talkless of rivalring Ethereum. So, Lets only be hoping for the best for NEO

Up to the point of rivalry? I don't think it will. What's the possible rival of Ethereum is Binance Chain. But so far, most of the projects are still made through smart contract of Ethereum. If they want to migrate, they can easily do that with other chain and even in NEO.
But, I've rarely see projects that's been built through NEOs chain so I don't think that it will even come close to what Ethereum is getting. It is unlikely but not impossible.

The rankings are not important right now, because you will get unreliable ones.
And believe me, most of them will not be in the list couple of months from now.
Because most of them will be gone, no use case, pnd, and then disappear.
So if you want to study these DeFis, you need to check it one by one and assess their foundation.
Don't trust these ranking sites. Because you can't see the real value of the project from these rankings.

Despite the BTC being slow right now, DeFi projects are still doing decently.

There are a couple of DeFi projects I consider interesting due to their features, high profile team members, and successful raised finance.
My current top 3 projects are:

 1. DeFiner (https://definer.org/).
This is an upcoming project sometimes in October 2020.
Its features allow depositing and earning between 6-12% with no fixed terms and the option to borrow against your savings.

 2. PUMK (https://pumk.finance/).
This is a governance token, with yield farming on Binance Smart Chain.

 3. Flamingo (https://flamingo.finance/).
This is the first Full-Stack DeFi protocol on NEO, and has very high interest already.
Token sale started and ends on 29th Sep.

When NEO launched the hype was all about they will be a good rival competitor to ETH but you know what happened as it is evident with the number of projects that came out using these two platforms. Even if all the scammers were able to come up with projects using ETH none of them which i know came up with NEO based blockchain project and years down the line do you really think that it will have a resurgence.
