Title: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Derevyanchenko on Sept 26
Post by: Baofeng on September 23, 2020, 05:57:08 AM
Charlo vs Derevyanchenko on Sept 26. The middle weight belt held by Charlo is on the line here. Jermall Charlo will try to defend his belt for the 3rd time. I'm sure GGG fans will remember Derevyanchenko because they have fought in October 2019 and he gave GGG a run for his money, and others say that he was robbed and it was really a war.

So this make this fight more exciting, as Derevyanchenko  wanted to show that he still has the tools and to become a world champion. But Charlo is very different though, fast and power on both hands.

So I will give the nod for Charlo here, maybe KO in later rounds on a UD.

His twin brother will also be in the same card as well, Jermell Charlo vs Jeison Rosario, for the lineal junior middleweight championship.

What I like about Jermall though is that he is really a puncher specially his uppercut but I guess Derevyanchenko will not be an easy opposite, Charlo has a hard time against Korobov and I think he has the same style as Derevyanchenko. So I think this will be a big test for Charlo specially if Derevyanchenko keeps the aggressiveness he shows in the GGG fight. Nevertheless, I would say the odds are attractive for Charlo here.

TBH, i have not seen Charlo fought live before but as what you said that He had a hard time against Korobov while GGG also had a hard time against Derevyanchenko so i think this could be a good fight and it reflects on the betting odds.

Charlo @1.58
Derevyanchenko @2.35

Bookies won't give ^^ this odds if they think it's one sided affair but i have to research more on this match-up before placing my bet.

I give Charlo the win in this coming fight if nothing goes wrong cause we have already seen how some clean record boxers got their first loss when they understimate their opponents in the ring. this is the most devastating loss for Charlo if he ever lose to Derevyanchenko in this upcoming fight.

I remember when Anthony Joshua lose to Ruiz on their first fight, he had the wrong impression to himself and devastated lose to the Mexican man.

But after their re-match, he regains the heavy weight title again.

Heard the twins ever since they are campaigning in the 154 lbs. But it seems they haven't got the needed exposure to be household name in the US at they are fighting second rate boxers in that division. And I think this is a step up to them to face tougher opponents specially for Jermall Charlo.

He could be line up for IBF: Gennadiy Golovkin or WBO: Demetrius Andrade for the Middle weight belt. There are a lot of videos on Youtube them so it's best to look for them before we put our bet.

I believe that the motivation of the brothers could overcome their fights with both of each other's strengths. I read an article that they are making both of the power of each other to motivate. Charlo also invested in a gym during the pandemic, so he is focused on himself and bring the best that he has.  I'm all-in for Charlo in this one even though Derevyanchenko has a great background with the World Championships winning bronze within his belt.

Odd is higher to Derevyanchenk if we will going to base on boxing records it seems that he is at disadvantge in this match. But in boxing the fight is being determine on how dedicated a boxer may be in the preparation for fight. Boxing is not only about making punches and score.  Boxing too is all about hardwork and dedication to win the match.

Still my bet will goes to Charlo, LOL he has the talent and skills to win the match and way dedicated too to promote his boxing career.

Not familiar with this fight, I had to watch some highlights and as I usually bet on the underdog, I watch the fight between GGG and Derevyanchenko  and  I like how Derevyanchenko  were able to respond and give GGG a hard time, I think Derevyanchenko  is a real warrior and I love backing an underdog warrior.

Derevyanchenko is one hard nut to crack very aggressive, always on the attack, Charlo will have a hard time beating Derevyanchenko but I still beast Charlo to beat Derevyanchenko but upset should not be ruled out here because Derevyanchenko is a big puncher and he can deliver an upset he is a very exciting fighter to watch, so we have a very exciting fight between the two boxers.

Additional boxing records for this fight.
Charlo got the odds here, for sure it's because the boxing records with undefeated one.
I am surprised that the odds of Derevyanchenko  is not so far from Jermall Charlo, I saw some of this fight before that the odds is extremely far and much favour on the highest win with undefeated record.
Reach and hieght is favor on Jermall Charlo, do doubt why odds is on him, Derevyanchenko is littler older on Jermall Charlo.

Correct, but in his two title fights, he lost to Daniel Jacob and GGG. So he is somewhat what we call a gate keeper. And sometimes hard work is not enough, you really have the whole package to really elevate yourself against those champion.

Still my bet will goes to Charlo, LOL he has the talent and skills to win the match and way dedicated too to promote his boxing career.

And with that said, I will say that Charlo will come up the winner here. Still in his prime and I think he will show us his skills in this fight so that we will get a crack and huge pay check on this next fight.

Thanks for this mate, after watching the fight between Charlo vs Korobov on youtube i'm putting my money on Charlo. Though he struggled a bit on the early rounds, the good thing is that he did not lost his  composure and won that championship rounds. Charlo 1.50 not bad.

Let me watch the video too so I will have an idea about this fight, boxing has really return, a lot of games are already happening though it's not really a big fight as some big fights were postpone since they are looking for some crowd.

Charlo is undefeated with an impressive KO% but honestly I haven't seen him watch in live TV, so for now I'll just look at some highlights.

By the way, I found this one - https://www.sho.com/sports/fights/3941/charlo-vs-rosario-charlo-vs-derevyanchenko.. this is a PPV Fight (no free)

1.53 odd is not bad to place for Charlo. Though like what you have said it's depends from how the fighter and the camp prepared
for the fight, but from those old fights that Charlo from YouTube gives me some glimpse on how he can survive this fight.
Nothing can be accurately assess without seeing them fight, both have chances it's the lucky punch that matters.

Record and experience-wise Charlo has the edge I consider him a strong favorite here in this fight although Derevyanchenko is a very dangerous fighter,  Charlo is a good fighter with a good technical skill but with Derevyanchenko aggressive style there is a possibility of an upset, this is a year of the upsets, who knows this one will be another one.

I am not so sure about this match up because if you will just base on their records the challenger is too behind. Charlo has a perfect record of 30 wins with 22 KO's while Derevyanchenko has only 13 wins, 2 losses and 10 KO's.

I am sure that the odds of this bout will surely to favor to Charlo. I'll just hope that there will be no upset to this bout as there will be many bettors that will surely lost their money if it happens.

Nah, gamblers can take a lost, that's how it is. Of course who wouldn't want to lost in a betting. But upsets do happen in boxing in the past already.

This is actually my first time on seeing these too-close odds between fighters which does really had a huge gap in terms of statistics which isn't really that common but basing off on Derevyanchenko's

experience on fighting champions in the past then its considered that they would really be on the same level in spite of the difference on numbers but my money will be on Charlo this time even

if Derevyanchenko do really have that experience.Im aint that relying on numbers but having more does signify pure exp. 30 fights compared to 13? For sure majority
would have the same impression.

I don’t know much about this boxer but considering the records that they have, I’ll go for Charlo and I’m sure he’ll do everything to defend the title and to remain unbeaten. The bettor probably has the higher chance of winning and of course its normal to get a different result since this is still a gambling. We will see this on weekend but for now, I’ll go for Charlo with a clean record.

No biggie mate, yes he struggled against Korobov because its a bad stylistic match up for him. But in the end, he won that fight and that's another experience under his belt. In the early rounds you would notice that he is somewhat frustrated because he can't hit Korobov with his upper-cut.

But he adjusted in the middle round, fight his groove and still attempted to knock him down. Yes, it is a triple header and all of the championship fight are really very good.

Undefeated fighter like Charlo is really a hard to beat fighter specially in his 3rd title defense .

Charlo will be my choice,as my cousin is asking for Derevyanchenko so my chance to win is indeed.

Everyone is rooting for the favorites, but maybe we have some more Derevyanchenko backers here.
I would like to suggest a poll but it looks like it's not needed anymore as for sure people would vote on the favorite to win.

Good bet for you if you take an equal bet as you can't have that betting online.  You'll only get 53% as the odds is 1.53.

Against a fighter like Rosario the odds is about even and the chances for upset is always there I have seen him coming out with a big punch against Williams and he can also take a punch, if he has no good movement and he takes Rosario is a toe to toe fight, Rosario might knock him out to like what he did to Williams, I like this fight than with his brother against Derevyanchenko .

I'm not a fan of the Charlo brothers, but I still think Jermall is going to win this one.

Derevyanchenko is coming off two losses in the last three fights, against similar tier fighters to Charlo (Golovkin and Jacobs). And he only beat a bottom-feeder like Culcay by decision.

I'm going to go for Charlo in 5-8 by KO/TKO.

Once Charlo wins, he'll still be in third place in the middleweights though, Since Golovkin and Saul Alvarez are the only two ranked higher than him, with massively better records too.

I'm sure GGG fans will remember Derevyanchenko because they have fought in October 2019 and he gave GGG a run for his money, and others say that he was robbed and it was really a war.

Undefeated fighter like Charlo is really a hard to beat fighter specially in his 3rd title defense .
while Derevyanchenko is thirsty to have a championship title.this will be a interesting fight tomorrow and i've got interested betting in this one.

Charlo will be my choice,as my cousin is asking for Derevyanchenko so my chance to win is indeed.
This is interesting fight no wonder that the bout received attention from gambling industries,i'm going opposite side as this speculation gives me different opinion

I'm also for Charlo he has a clear edge here but Derevyanchenko is a tough fighter, after this fight Charlo should go against Alvarez or Golovkin as clearly he is overshadowed by these two fighters he is third rank in the current middleweight champion he has no big fights yet compared to these two great fighters.

Alvarez vs Golovkin III is already in play, Alvarez vs. Golovkin: The Trilogy we've all been waiting for!  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5233606.0), but obviously it needed to be rescheduled because of Covid-19 pandemic.

He can chase Demetrius Andrade for the WBO title, if boxing politics will not intervene.

As for Jermell, Patrick Teixeira is the only other title belt holder at 154 lbs, so a fight with him will be a unification bout.

In any case, good win for the twins, they have passed the toughest test of their career so far.

So I will give the nod for Charlo here, maybe KO in later rounds on a UD.

Jermall Charlo - wins by UD, score 116-112, 117-111, 118-110

I put a parlay on the twins, it boosted the odds @1.80 not bad, so I hope that they really performed very well under worthy opponents. I'm more concern on the other Charlo against Rosario, and I think this is going to end in a knock out as Rosario is also a heavy puncher at 154 lbs.

Jermell Charlo by body shot knockout in 8 rounds.

Thanks for the idea of a parlay bro, i did the same as you and also add Casimero to my parlay thus making the odds at 2.10. Seems to me that this twin is the future of the 154 weight division and may rule this weight category just like the Klitsko's who once ruled the Heavyweight division.

I do hope that some of you have tailed, and obviously should have given you a good win. Congrats to Charlo twins, we might see them cleaning up their respective divisions or at least gets the respect now.

Watch the fights in youtube, the twins is just above the rest of the 154-160 lbs division. But I doubt that they can get a fight with either GGG or Saul Alvarez, those guys are still the king on that division. I don't know if they can get as high as 168. Their frame is too small and they might not carry their power. Perhaps some mandatory fight and wait for the winner of GGG vs Alvarez in 2021.

Once again thanks for the heads up bro and you never failed to amazed me with you prediction in this sport. Charlo twins deserve the respect of the boxing community and i do hope that someday Jermall and Canilo will meet as this would be the biggest fight in his career while Jermell have to give Tony Harrison their third fight to settle the score. In their second encounter, Harrison is up until that TKO so a third fight is interesting.

Depends with the situations, if fans called it up and promoters see opportunities to earn  good cash, then why not call this fight.
But like what you have said those Names are very well known even the twins made their respective fights, calling the attentions of promoters will definitely beyond fans desire to see them in much higher crowd.

We do hope that they get some boxing fans in this win. They are under Al Haymon if I'm not mistaken, one of the most powerful promoters we have right now and I'm sure the twins will get what they deserved. It's just they are really behind Canelo and GGG in the middleweight division that's why they are not the recognized.

But the doors are open for them now, regardless if they are small in that division, they should aim for bigger fights and biggest payments. They are not that young though, they are in their 30's so they might be in the peak of their career so they need to hurry up or at least their manager/promoter should by now.
