Title: Is there a way to make ignore-links for everybody clickable?
Post by: Mr. Gabu on March 23, 2014, 05:00:23 PM
Our group is maintaining a thread with list of all german troll posters. This effort is part of our quality management efforts to make the german subforum better.

Many people loving it. Our list is under:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527534.0

As you can see, sadly the ignore links are not clickable, because of session verification errors. (CSRF protection?)

Is there any way to make them clickable and working? We want to give all readers an easy chance to cut out the dirties trolls (and scammers), so they enjoy the forum more.

Are there other ways to spread bigger ignore lists?

Please help.

Thank you!

I just ignored some german speaker on the linked discussion, it seems to be working fine. If such a problem exists, it is likely due to certain user's web browser configuration.

No. Changes to a users account (including their ignore list) require that user's session ID in the link to avoid tricking users into making changes to their account with concealed links.

Are there other ways to spread bigger ignore lists?
Easily. You can provide a simple list of usernames that users can copy-paste directly into their ignore list (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=ignprefs) (that link works because it doesn't change your account settings by itself).
