I've been thinking about starting to make youtube videos for like 3 years, but i don't know if i should. I want to make videos because i want to make people laugh. Tnx for any help

Just do it if you think you can edit your videos and post them @ youtube just do it!

I am a youtuber and I can say one thing -  it is a hard and funny work! :)
But - very hard! if you want some $$ from youtube, please forget it :P and try to do best videos and do not think about profits :P

And after a year of making videos - you can start thinking about profits.

Most people who think they're good comedians aren’t. But make a video op and post it here, then we can give you constructive criticism / destroy you haha.

I say go for it. But, just prepare yourself before you get into anything.

I woud list of to-do things on what made the videos viral approach, or see if you can network with semi on the rise youtubers in your genre.

Example: Timothy del ghetto (comedy) - what did he do to expose himself.

Theres some elements you can control, when youtube 1st came out which was a lot easier for some to get partnership. I`d assume thats the direction you want to do to get ad revenue right?

Just do the homework 1st, because most wont. And dont buy youtube video views..etc.

I'd say you should give it a try if you think you have something interesting to share with others.  I watch all kinds of random people on YT and I never know if I will follow for years or a week.  I'd suggest if you do get into it try and have thick skin as there is going to me a ton of ignorant people that do silly things.  But there will be many folks that are "normal", good luck.

just make a youtube channel, try to be yourself, and see from where it will get you, youtube celebreties didn't get there overnight, they worked hard, and they also worked in a periode where there was less competition right now a lot of people wants a part of the cake

Some of them get there overnight if their video goes viral haha.

Why not just to try? i mean before you have started it's difficult to answer this question. First, you should try to make 1-3 videos and if they won't be awful than you should probably continue and, of cause, if you'd be fond of it

Do it and show us your progress, faithful audience guaranteed.

And what is funny :) only one of those channels are making profits :P and it is not a profit like 10$ daily but a profit like 30$ per half year :P

You must decide by your own!

depends on what kind of videos you want to make and do you have some way of promoting them or you're just going to rely on youtube searches :D

Because according to a number of famous youtubers there is only a little chance to get some real cash from it.

But - few bucks will get for sure.


Those days you need a million of views to really repay your time when doing videos.

But -  being a youtuber is extremely fun! :)

Sometimes even smaller youtubers get free stuff and sponsorships etc, but you can't really make a career out of it unless you have like 100k subscribers.

well that is why I think OP should forget about carrier - just do clips for his own and our happiness :)

Well he's asking wether he should make youtube videos or not. Sure, he could've maybe provided more info or elaborated , but he didn't. It didn't seem to stop you offering advice though  :P.

And I must say If I would be rich and I will not need money to live I will just record and product videos for yt.
This is such a great fun and when people are giving thumbs up and posting kind comments - this was for me wonderful experience.and I would love to make more and more but I need to earn money and youttube is not paying well if you havent got thousands of subscribers.

Buy them haha. Somebody is selling subscribers and views etc on the marketplace. Not sure if YouTube will be wise or not to the sudden increase though.

If Youtube will find out that you are buying subscribers or views you will get a ban and your earnings are gonna be not paid.
Stay away from "views enchanting" etc...
It is very easy to get ban and I know about it very good. Google bots are clever :)

I don't see why asking others what they think about starting a youtube channel is a bad idea.  I mean it is the off topic section..  I've thought about the same thing and think it is fine to discuss.  Maybe the OP just wants to attract some subscribers for the channel who knows.  Nothing wrong with that IMO as there is no harm to anyone by doing so.

If you though about this 3 years and did nothing, you probably dont have a need to do it.
If you need to ask people instead of just doing it, you probably dont want to do it anyway.

I dont know you, but from what you write here: nope you should not.

I think you should.  :) And also try adding adsense. You can make others happy while you can also earn some money. I think $800 - $2500 per million views depends on the niche.

you might have let's say a CTR of 5%, average earnings per click 0.1$
which makes 5$ on every 10 000 views, so only a 500$ per million views
but you get some extra for likes and subscribes ;)
