Title: Which Blockchain is the fastest as at today and has less failed transaction
Post by: jerrison on September 24, 2020, 11:24:30 AM
I heard of a Blockchain project by the name of ULTRA, you can lookup on ultra.io. it happens to have almost nil failed transaction  and so far happens to the very first i have seen with such potentials. Please share more lights on any if you have.

Being fastest is not always best, unless it is secured as well. There is a trade off between the two. If cost of transaction is also considered, Litecoin, IMHO, is standing at the perfect position.

TRON is my first pick but I will also try to mention more legit platforms with very good scalability like binance chain, dot chain, chainlink and many more. Basically,

Ultra didn't have a lot of users and if you are seeing it has less failed tx and it's still nothing compared those platforms like tron which has very small failed txs but it has a very big users.

I think that you must also consider from the total users in the platform to determine that.

I have not heard about ultra blockchain, so if it is new you need to be careful. If you are looking for faster and cheaper transactions all blockchains serve the same purpose, it is just that ethereum is congested at the moment and btc has smaller capacity but basically they are also designed for that and with upgrades they will improve as well.

Is this the ULTRA you mean? https://etherscan.io/token/0xd13c7342e1ef687c5ad21b27c2b65d772cab5c8c
they are ERC20 based tokens which means using the ethereum blockchain.

You can't just consider that failed transactions are caused by internal factors (blockchain technical glitches). Sender error can also affect this such as setting the gas too low, as well as the transfer quantity (if the transfer amount is below say 1000 tx, there may not be failed transactions yet).
Maybe you can compare the transaction speed of several blockchains, but failed transactions will inevitably occur sometime due to sender error.

Its the same project. I wonder how it exists on the ethereum projects and still keeps record of the nil failed transaction in this era where the ethereum gas fees is up to the roof top. I am yet to conclude on which to pick amongst fastest blockchain, eithere EOS or TRON. Although, i am not aware of the stress test result of TRON but I know EOS is still fast and cheap too

Just to be sure and also educational purposes, do you consider Litecoin to be the most secure blockchain and also fastest in a close comparison to EOS and I also think blocktivity.info has a different view if you care to check the blockchain with the highest transactions.

i agree, Litecoin has low fees, fast transactions, and it's standing coin for years.

That's the advantage of an old coins but if you look at the new blockchain system which offers the same services, I think its good to give them a chance to showcase their system and if you think it wont work for you, then go back to the old one.

Well, the situation right now with regards to a fast trasanctions and the fees, for sure investor are looking for alternatives and if that site OP is great and secured, then investors will come on your way better also to have a good marketing strategy for this.

First with potential? how many of these projects were like that and has been said to be the first? I don't believe with such words anymore, too many projects were described like that.
I haven't taken a look at the project but maybe, let's give it the benefit of the doubt, and probably there's really something in it.

Could you give us more information about ULTRA blockchain? I believe one blockchain can't handle all of our transaction demands. Transaction cost is also a valuable part. Ripple and Binance chain is known as the fastest transaction speed per second but some new blockchain can make over 10k per second.

is not it better if you are reading some post above you? it's clearly said that the ultra coin is not using its own blockchain and it's still pegged with the ethereum blockchain.
There was no a lot of traffic happened in the ultra smartcontract and the intention of the smartcontract to be called by the senders are not often.

This will reduce the total tx that happened with the smartcontract and the chance for the failed txs to be happened will be less compared with another assets.

So it is just another useless token, and it tries to show itself and was a project with a distinct idea.
Most of the altcoins have not been tested because most of the blocks are empty, so we cannot guarantee an immortal unless they are tested.
I do not recommend investing in these coins based on news headlines such as faster, more efficient, amaze and so on. Look for the code and make sure of everything yourself.

Fast, it seems everyone want to have anything is done as fast as possible. My topics can help you.

Comparative table on fees among some coins. Pick up one for your need. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5268851.0)
ETH/ERC20 - Check and select good Gas price (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5261480.0)

But at the same time, things should be done safely and risk such as Replay attack should be considered.

You can visit coinmarketcap.com (https://coinmarketcap.com/) and get list of top coins. Among them, I would like to use Litecoin, Ripple for my transations. Months ago, I used Ethereum but now it is not a good one because of high fee from DeFi project hype.

The site https://www.crypto51.app/ gives you estimate on cost of 1 hour replay attacks. You should not choose altcoins with too low estimate cost of replay attacks because the risks of such attacks are higher and you might get troubles. Ethereum Classic (ETC) had replay attacks recent weeks and you can see the estimate cost is less than $3800 for one hour attack today.

I would say that PolkaDOT or Quarkchain could process more transactions for less fees than Ethereum network, but the question is if with the same security as Ethereum. Both projects are relaitvely new and untested, so if you don´t mind much about security, you can use these two networks. Or wait for Ethereum 2.0 with the sharding technology and everything should be better.

Since 2016, I have been looking at blockchains that coem up with solutions that solve problems associated with scalability. Its not to start a project at first and then when the project gets into the space and gets to its design capacity and gets overwhelmed then it is said to be having challenges and needs upgrade. I appreciate EOS a whole lot but I want to know who has researched and has an update on a record breaking project.

For me it's Ripple it is known as one of the fastest and secure blockchains.  It can also handle an average of 1,700 TPS. And not only fast but also less fees in transactions. Next for me would be TRON or could be EOS. Not to mention I have heard about ULTRA too they said it's the fastest but haven't tried it yet.

Ordinarily, the run the show of thumb for a blockchain is that the more prominent the security, the slower it is. Then again, in case you need a quick blockchain, you’re getting to have security issues, since everything comes with a taken a toll.

There are so many Blockchain platforms out there, this Ultra.io is what I’m still seeing for the first time. Just checked it out though, and their main focus is on gaming. I don’t know much about this platform, but when it comes to the Blockchain that companies are making use of the most, this is not even on the top ten list.

It’s not all about being fast, I believe that they are all fast and can as well be improved on, but another important feature is the security, which is very important. And before any company chooses a Blockchain to use, there are lots of things that goes into consideration before they decide what’s best for them.

Ultra is the newest blockchain, so to compare with the old blockchain, how the transaction speed and history of failure cannot balance. due to differences in network density. unless there is an intention to specifically test it. try tested with the latest blockchain such as solana, hashgraph. who's the best

Bitcoin is the fastest blockchain out there. 1 Bitcoin confirmation is worth hundreds or even thousands of shitcoin confirmations. Ethereum classic got 51% attacked how many times already? With days of transactions being reversed. Fast transaction times are deceptive, because just because the blockchain says your transaction is confirmed, it doesn't mean it's secure, and the faster transaction times are, the less secure each individual confirmation is. This is why many services accept 1 confirmation for Bitcoin, but require dozens of confirmations for altcoins.

I am a little less familiar with what you mean by this, whether this can be explained in detail in the section "the more prominent the security, the slower it is" because that sentence makes me a little confused and curious about the meaning.

The Ultra blockchain claim that they are one of the fastest blockchains in the industry, they are not claiming to be the fastest, but one of the fastest Just like others do even Credits blockchain has also a claim that they are one of the fastest, but the truth they have not yet fully loaded with users thats why their transactions are kinda smooth compare to other existing platforms Ultra blockchain was designed to bring e-commerce to the next level and also to cater the game developers, etc. I hope we can expect something better from these new Blockchain projects.

Every blockchain without users is fast. We need to calculate speed with right parametrs. Anyway, hight TPS is not enough to be a good project

Bitcoin is "fastest" in the sense that I am not sure if that much money goes through any other blockchain. If you want to talk about a lot of money going one way or another fastest, bitcoin is still by far the fastest.

You could have a coin that sends few hundred dollars in few seconds, but the reality is bitcoin could send few million dollars under 30 minutes and no other place can do that, not only they can't do that but they don't have that much attention neither, money doesn't change places there at all. So, that means bitcoin is still fastest with less failed transactions and the most secure one all at the same time. However if you want to deal with very low numbers, you could pick eth or even litecoin because they are cheaper and faster for low amounts.

What do you mean by the failed transaction? Once the transactions are initiated then there is no way to cancel it and it may cancel it by themselves if it stuck for months. There are instant coins also available here but nothing is best compared to bitcoin until now from the investor's point of view.

i WILL pick tron because it is fast and the cheapest but talking about secured transaction and quality platform, i will go with SOLANA. Solana is the best and latest platform with layer 2 security and seamless platform especially for trading platforms. fees are also cheap just like TRON.

in cryptocurrency if there can be a failure of a transaction when the shipping fee is made very cheap and far below the average cost given, it is likely that it will fail to send and will end up spending only transaction fees, it's better to use it once to make a withdrawal with use gas so average delivery will be very fast.

Title: Re: Which Blockchain is the fastest as at today and has less failed transaction
Post by: deathcode on September 30, 2020, 05:19:19 PM

Transactions can be said to have failed when the transaction is initiated and the gas fees assigned to it is not sufficient enough to scale through considering the cost of transaction as at that particular time, it may be said to have had another priority transaction and that is what makes it concentrate on other transactions than that which has lesser fees.
when the network gets denser, what happens is an increase in gas fees to speed up transactions. almost all blockchain networks are like that. but I think TRON has a fairly stable transaction speed. it all also depends on where and where the transaction was carried out. sometimes when we make a withdrawal or delivery on a platform it can be a slower confirmation depending on how the platform itself works.

I have never heard about ULTRA until now from this thread.
Why should we use new blockchain when other trusted blockchains are exist ?
One of the existing blockchain which has fast transaction speed is EOS blockchain, have you try it ?

Choosing fastest blockchain is never enough, it should be accompany by less fee, ability to scale and block confirmation.
If you check, there are many projects that are working to improve on pre-existing projects in other to patch the previous problems and improve their standards. (one old example is litecoin from bitcoin).
Ripple and xlm has being my favorite with their own blockchain, they take 3-5 seconds for their transactions confirmation but if dig more, there are more blockchain beyond the ones I mentioned, whichever you choose, they should serve thousands of transactions in seconds.
