Title: MANO A MANO crypto game tournaments
Post by: comptant on September 24, 2020, 02:40:25 PM
I was wondering if anyone interested to play small game tournaments for crypto?

Two players place money in one pool and winner of the game takes all. Is there anything like that exist or would anyone want to try it out?

When we do talk about winner do takes it all then this do particularly can be found on PvP games and on lottery games but since you do talk about 2 players only you can have a look into this thread.

"Mano-Mano" is basically 1v1 battle here in our country. Lots of games related to that already made since then.

Since it will be done on your site or platform, you have to prove how safe both player's funds unless you can create a decentralized method and make things automatic.

To able to attract players, now depends on what type of games you will create.

Why not, if players find your game unique or at least interesting, you could have an audience.

I'm sure this kind of games existed before, I can't recall the name. It's not that they're not successful, but I think the question will lie on how 'trusted' the system is. Like managing the pool money, who are going to hold the funds and say that it is there and 'safe', who are going to take control of the funds?

There are already a lot of PvP games in dozens of gambling platforms out there, but if you would wanna try making or developing a simple platform that focuses and only has games that are PvP and having many tournaments, then you might have a chance to get many clients. It is also an interesting idea to have only one person to beat but then it was only the same with common games that multiplies your bets. Even in sports betting, you could simply have or double your bet but never triple depending on the multiplier. But the unique concept you could have is that they could win in a stage, but every stages they would need to bet, it's like doubling and doubling the price. (like 8 ball pool game with an option of rematch to bet everything) --- then that would be a good gambling.

I think no one will ignore a PvP game unless it isn't a fun game to begin with.

No pool fee?

If it allows for players to have an option in using faucet money of some sort, you'll probably have a better audience than those that only offer traditional methods like depositing crypto for each game separately or funding their accounts with larger deposits [something I personally avoid due to its risk and the other method it's quite tiresome].

Didnt think that far, I can get a hardware wallet, use blockchain or verified trading platform account.

Yes, there will be a small fee between 5% - 10%. Can be sometimes free pool service on occasion.

This is definitely something I'd like to see.

I've been looking for poker sites to play heads up with people, but it seems nothing like that exists.

I also have found a platform where you can play 1v1 on other games in a trustless manner for a prize pot—it's something that could generate significant interest if somebody were to develop it.

There's a massive unmet need for PvP gambling games (ones that can't be botted or cheated in any way). But it seems no casino or game house is willing to put in the resources to bring something good to market.

Some of us used to play Monopoly for BTC back in the day. I’ve been thinking about putting together a winner take all game of online Risk for BTC.

The closest game I know that has a pool base prize are crypto lottery games where players by tickets and they have an equivalent amount set in the pool, the most tickets you have the better chances you will have for winning but this game has multiple winners not only one. Maybe a 1 winner takes all kind of game are more suited to sport tournaments where players can take 1 side each and this will be good to any type of sport but the thing is I think you need to have a special type of license to be legally allowed to receive bets on sporting games particularly on the league they are playing on.
