was I suppsed to make a new wallet.dat and redownload the blockchain? all I did was replace the program files. the other stuff shouldn't have to be done in my mind as that would create massive chaos with people and all their bitcoins. so what's going on? If your fee was zero, so no surprise ;D

If that 1 btc is not fragmented (not made up of lots of smaller amounts), 0.0001 fee will be fine. If that 1 btc is made up of 10 smaller 0.1 btc transactions, 0.0002 fee should be ok, 0.0003 fee to be safe. If made up of 100 small 0.01 transactions, need at least 0.0025 fee.
