Title: Is Defixnetwork Scam with Fake team?
Post by: notblox1 on September 24, 2020, 09:46:52 PM
What Happened: I think Defixnetwork team is fake and uses AI generated faces with random names, and I could not find anything searching their names and doing reverse image search.

Scam busters please help here if you can

I got one positive for AI generated on one of their team member, and this means that all team is fake:

Their portfolio explanation should be enough to warrant a red flag. PR in International Companies, Creator of Mobile apps, etc, all are so ambiguous. Not to mention the defi thing that's being thrown out of nowhere.

If they used other people profile then their credibility is not that good. This kind of activity end up scamming or running away from their responsibility to launch a good project.

Not to mention the defi thing that's being thrown out of nowhere.
Thats common nowadays. I think I saw every new project everyday, different names with but all concept are the same, all to raise fund and be listed on uniswap.

Reverse image search won't help here, the only convinient way to detect generated photos was havetheyfaked.me (not available anymore).

These are computer generated images taken from https://generated.photos/ website.

Scammers could use paid version to generate their own fake pictures. Recently, I had a similar case https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5273893.0

Thank you witcher.
One thing I noticed when doing reverse image search that some part of the face can be detected on other faces, and that can be indicator they are AI generated and not real people.

I found one website that can check faces and predict if they are fake AI-generated or Real-world. It is not 100% precise but better than having nothing.

You should check better before creating ann topics for scams, because you are then becoming part of the scam.
So more research and write note that you are not part of the team.

Have you talked to the team about their published photos? At least get their side and know their story. Because if they are not guilty, they can always post their attached profile links. But if they really do have fake team, good decision that you deleted their thread.

Ofcourse, I asked their side and I am willing to defend it since I got a red flag it is better for me to delete it while waiting on them to give a good reason.
