Title: Another BSV shilling account "SaveBSV"
Post by: The Cryptovator on September 28, 2020, 09:00:51 AM
Bitcointalk profile: SaveBSV (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2858531)

Another BSV shilling account, you will get everything when you will read the thread mentioned above. In a short word, SaveBSV providing a service where BSV users could store their coins for a certain period of time (without any return on investment of course). But users can't withdraw their funds within this period except for a certain day. They are claiming funds are safe with them. There are no accounts, no private keys with you. Simply they are generating a BSV address where you will have to sent the coin and you have to provide a return address as well where they will return coin on a certain day in the future. Don't know if they are willing to skip with the fund.

But according to Bitcoin SV  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2371095)- "OP is created his service just for fun" (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5278357.msg55276864#msg55276864). As I replied there how it's fun since the website generating the BSV address (https://imgur.com/ZgXBRod) to send the fund? What will happen if some send funds to that address since it's just fun?

3. Whether the server will send back the BSV with timelock to your address

This is the part I'd worry about much more than the shilling part and even more than the (quite big) possibility that BSV will become worthless before that lock time ends.

I mean... even the justification is pretty half-assed.

Why would you want to limit access to your own coins? There's many reasons why someone might find it useful. Most people are very bad with money and that's why most people are very poor. They succumb to various temptations easily. SaveBSV is a way to put your money away for some time and be sure you won't spend it.

Nevertheless, there's no reason to criticize it and badmouth it without even knowing what it's about and what it offers.

Translation: do you trust yourself less than an anonymous stranger online?

If you are stupid enough to think BSV is the real bitcoin they you are stupid enough to fall for this.
Since Craig / Calvin / etc. all say that they are fighting scams and theft they should come running here help their users. Lets see what happens.

Not worth dealing with IMO there are just some people who are too stupid to be saved. But I have not had my coffee yet and I'm a bit grouchy.

It's a scam attempt without no doubt. He will only save the return address but that address will never get BSV returned. I think no one will give a shit to it, no one is going to deposit a single BSV scam Rsats (I mean sats of real bitcoin  :D) Tagging the person for scam attempt.
Can you create a flag as OP is certainly a scammer?
