Title: Where to trade gold?
Post by: kenw232 on September 28, 2020, 03:03:32 PM
Anyone know a GOOD place to trade gold?  I simply want to buy gold (or silver) at the spot price with USDT or TUSD.   Everywhere has large spreads like PAXG on Binance, or has no liquidity and bots like XAUT on Bitfinex.

I think it depends on the type of gold you want to trade, because on the etherum network there are a variety of Gold token, so i will implore you to dyor annd determine the type of gold project you intend to trade, find out its trading exchange, and you can trade there. Remember that Gold token are usually stablecoins

It all depends on which version of gold you want to buy. A lot of gold stablecoins in the internet but only some of them are reliable

have you tried the DIGIX site? It is the official website of the DIGIX project. they provide DGX tokens which have a value equivalent to gold (1DGX = 1 gram of gold). and there you can buy it with USDT or ETH. Several exchanges trade DGX, but all I know of is Bitfinex and HotBit

USDT or TUSD may not be really the coins to buy gold (actual metal or gold-backed stable coins). Bitcoin is more widely accepted, especially if you go for the actual metal.
For gold you can look for Bullion Star and other sellers, it depends on what's your country.
For gold tokens you can check my signature. I am probably biased, but I can tell that the fact this token is actually backed can be surely checked at any time.

Live audit report from BullionStar vault storage - https://www.bullionstar.com/myaccount/audit - BuillonStar Account number: 17081

In my opinion it is better to choose the original version of gold, it has been proven that the price is stable if the gold version on the internet has a very high risk because the price is unstable and moves very fast it can go up and down if you are lucky then you will get high profits and otherwise you can lose, mostly like that it's hard  looking for a stable price that I know only USDT looks the price is moving stable

Where to trade gold?

You can buy gold with Bitcoin and many altcoins at https://www.bitgild.com/   They are located in Netherlands, so you should have zero problems if you are from EU. Make sure o ask them abut delivery if you live elsewhere. They sell for Bitcoin for more then 6 years.  There are many other gold merchants selling for Bitcoin.

If you want to start trading gold or adding it to your long-term investment portfolio, first understand the fundamentals that drive the price of gold, get a long-term perspective on gold price action, and then get a handle of some market psychology. Once all that is done, choose the best way to acquire gold, either directly in physical form or indirectly through future or mutual funds.

Tether Gold is fine (If you have faith in USDT) since they are backed by the same organizations
Paxos Gold Shall be good to go too

There's still tons of different Digital Gold if you are looking in the crypto scene

Are you referring to digital gold (gold backed crypto projects) or the actual gold? If it is the gold backed projects, sincerely I do not think I can recall of any which has been successful. Many of them came during the ICO era but they failed and ever since then I have not seen of any gold backed projects again, maybe the crypto community have understood the concept is yet to work, I stand to be corrected; just my opinion though.
Also, as for the main or physical gold, I do not have knowledgeable experience about it, but I would suggest you go for it, as it is more better. In this case, ensure you have the necessary knowledge regarding it, in order to make the best decision about your investment.

You don't even know if you really buying a real good for tokens you bought so that kind investment is not recommended unless they will send to your address the real gold you buy using your crypto.

I agree with this one why you are looking for other investment which is not yet possible to buy usingcrytpo currency.

Why not convert your crypto into Fiat then buy real gold using your money .

Trading gold with any of the stable coins like USDT or TUSD is possible, but trading against the traditional gold isn't possible. As of now we've got lot of gold backed cryptocurrencies for trading. People who prefer making an investment over gold or other forms of digital gold can directly accumulate or use the banking system. These days we've got more private service providers to support trading of gold.

I know Bingbon is a mixed derivatives exchange. People can both trade crypto and fiat currency pairs with USDT, they also have indices like the S & P500. This is an exchange that has been around since 2018 and has a very good amount of visitors. In addition to self-trading, we can join copy trade or let others copy our order to receive a commission.

I do not suggest you have to use this site: https://gold.storage/id/home

And here is their campaign: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5164058.0

However, for now, if you ask about gold trading with USDT, TUSD or crypto, the sites above are quite good at the moment, there is nothing negative about it yet.

However, for that before you go any further in gold trading, you can ask a few things that you want to ask in the topics that I provide above.
For more details on how they work in gold exchange for USDT, TUSD or crypto.

Thanks, I didn't know about DGX.  All I knew about was PAXG and XAUT.

DGX is a token provided by DigixGlobal from Singapore and this token represents 1 gram of gold for 1 DGX. Real gold is stored in a safe vault that is also insured by DigixGlobal. This dome is located in two very distant places, namely the first vault in Singapore and the second vault in Canada. To exchange real gold, you have to pay a service fee of 1% of the total value. For now, the daily trading volume of DGX token exchange is still small, only $8k  (https://www.coingecko.com/id/koin_koin/digix-gold).

It is very difficult to find a stablecoin backed by gold that is as perfect as a stablecoin backed up by USD

https://gold.storage/en/home is a great gold trading platform at the moment.  It is true to your requirements that trade gold with USDT and volume there is also quite high.  The special thing is that they are very reputable and never pay slowly for their platform marketers. This is the most prestigious trading gold platform I have ever known and I have also tried trading here.  they always update the rates per second and the transaction costs there are also very reasonable.

Suppose, the guy meant usual gold, the metal. Probably, some guys here will be surprised, but this gold can be traded on Forex. You have to register there – and go on! Nevertheless, I do not understand why the fellow asks about it here.

I don't know if this still solves the question. Etoro has gold and silver and as well support for cryptocurrencies but I can't see that they have a support for USDT or TUSD. But I've seen that they have a pair for gold and btc which is GoldBTC. Check the links.

Having a trade pair against the likes of USDT? Tell me a platform where we can find such a trading pair (I mean Physical Gold/USDT markets). OP wanted Digital gold which he can easily exchange for USDT or any other crypto.
