Title: Did NordVPN remove dedicated IPs for normal subscriptions?
Post by: SFR10 on September 29, 2020, 02:23:58 PM
After updating mine to NordVPN 6.32.15.0 version, I lost "Dedicated IP option under Speciality servers [I'm limited to only P2P]".
This is what they used to offer under Speciality servers [click this link] (https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.guidingtech.com%2Fimager%2Fassets%2F2020%2F05%2F934908%2F9-Best-NordVPN-Features-and-Settings-for-a-Great-VPN-Experience-1_4d470f76dc99e18ad75087b1b8410ea9.png%3F1589885851&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.guidingtech.com%2Fbest-nordvpn-features-settings-great-vpn-experience%2F&tbnid=FPIWcb3mtZ0L-M&vet=12ahUKEwi08pz1343sAhV-FTQIHarQDJ4QMygJegUIARCcAQ..i&docid=-vthkWqICuH6AM&w=1000&h=750&q=dedicated%20IP%20on%20nordvpn&ved=2ahUKEwi08pz1343sAhV-FTQIHarQDJ4QMygJegUIARCcAQ)

  • Did I miss something or they really removed this option for normal subscriptions?
  • I do know they're also offering "stand-alone dedicated IPs for $70.00 per year (https://nordvpn.com/features/dedicated-ip/)" but that's a bit pricey.
  • Does anyone know another VPN provider that's trusted enough and has that option with a reasonable price that I could pay using BTCitcoin?

I tried to search on Google and found this below.

According to the one post above they are only available if you use the OpenVPN (TCP or UDP) protocols.

So I think you will need to install OpenVPN and manually import config from https://nordvpn.com/ovpn/
I stop using this VPN a few months ago but the last time I used it, it has a dedicated option on their VPN software.

It seems they remove it according to their FAQ under "How can I get a dedicated IP address?"
You will need to pay for an extra fee for dedicated IP addresses and you must contact them through email.

Thank you, it worked :)
- I had OpenVPN but since I had VPN protocol automated option set to "on", it changed [after upgrading to the latest version] to NordLynx and thanks to your findings, I changed it to UDP and got everything back.
