I bumped it some times to only recently realize that no giveaway had been deposited in my 777coin account. I asked about that and was told that the giveaway had ended some time ago. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=238323.msg55285071#msg55285071) Then I thought, what are those guys doing? They bump the thread every day. They must have realized that no money is deposited into their account. I've looked at their post history and I've seen this: User joshing (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1324607). His post history consists in 41 pages repeating the same message: "777coin username: joshing Thank you" User levik (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=923938). The same: 54 pages just bumping that thread. Then there are others who wrote some posts in the beginning but for the past like three years they have been just bumping that thread. For example: ronaldo8971 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=902229;sa=showPosts;start=1560) and planetroving (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=484567;sa=showPosts;start=920). I think they must be bots, otherwise I don't understand. I suppose that should be reported. Is it OK just with this thread or should I also report them? Title: Re: Are they bots? Can be some paid posters for advertising the thread in the section, but i doubt lightlord would do that. The bot thing is also possible. They use it to bump the thread for free based on what I see. There are some service selling to automate bump the thread like this offer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1389668.0 Actually, the accounts you posted above almost all posts are the same "Username and Thank you" Which is spam but we don't have evidence if they are a bot or real people. Report them and let moderator instead to decide if they are going to deleted/ban that accounts. Title: Re: Are they bots? The bot thing is also possible. i don't think they are bots, they mostly seem to be "faucet workers" and this is a way of advertising for these gambling sites. they basically give the same amount as their in-site faucet would give with the difference that they benefit from this giveaway because their topic stays on top.considering this has been going on for a long time with many topics, i don't think it is breaking any forum rules. |
