Title: Coingecko Listed Winsshi Fake Team & Plagiarized Whitepaper
Post by: cryptopediabd on October 06, 2020, 09:47:53 PM
What happened: Winsshi plagiarized whitepaper as well as fake team member.

Winsshi whitepaper is fully plagiarized, u can check main source links. They didn't given team member any social media links. I searched Google & found CEO Twitter account last activity was 2017, That's it enough. All of their other team member social profile don't have any activity with Winsshi. After joining telegram group, I only asked where is the team members social profile, they simply blocked my account.

Today they launch bitcointalk airdrop activity campaign in bounty thread. Task: User need to make good quality post in the official announcement thread. Something is absolutely prohibited in bitcointalk community. I think with this account profile is probably scammer.

Yep, that's against bitcointalk rules--but putting the scam accusation aside for just a minute, OP registered in August 2020 and is now a full-blown scam buster familiar with a rule like the one above, which I suspect most members who've been here 2 months wouldn't have a clue about.  The cynical little devil that lives inside my coconut has to ask whether OP is creating threads like this with the hopes of earning merit.  There's no doubt in my mind that he's a true newbie.

Back to the topic of the thread:  yes, this does look scammy as hell.  And it's a pretty well-known fact that sites like Coingecko and CMC don't do a great job vetting coins/projects/whatever.  I don't see how they could, unless they had a full-time staff whose task it was to analyze the facts and data that they receive on a daily basis and check everything for veracity.  That doesn't happen, and it's not going to, so as with everything else in crypto you have to do your own due diligence before sinking a single penny into anything.

Coingecko is quick to list coins without doing proper research on the status of the project, I remember some coins that I'm hold that was proven scam and yet it took them long before they take it down, this market aggregation sites  should set up a page about scam coins so investors will be warn about coins that are proven to be dubious and scam.
