Your stats

The forum already has ranked statistics (Top-merited users'recent merit (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topusers), Top-merited users'all-time (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topusersat)), but no data reflecting really popular profiles.

• Visitor statistics are available for viewing, including the last users who viewed your profile, (Public access to your statistics).

Topic Effectiveness Summary

• The total number of views ^{[this parameter will be displayed in one panel along with other data]}
• The total number of views of all threads for all time.
• Reading, (how much time users spent in general reading the stream).
• Traffic source, (external sources only, clicks on shortened URLs and internal views are not counted).

For example, for each thread you publish, you can click "Details" for detailed statistics, (or view general statistics for all topics).

Did you mean forum can implement such an option or you have customized script for showing this? I didn't get the actual idea. However, getting the profile visitors would be interesting but that wouldn't be good for the forum police I think  :D It's better as now it is in my opinion.

It is available, at the header of each topic. Do you see yours "Topic: [Bitcointalk] Your statistics and thread efficiency summary  (Read 10 times)"

For your rest proposals, I don't think they will be considered because 2 years ago, the member statistic page was disabled and some statistics -- Forum History (using forum time offset),  in the forum's Stat center (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats) were disabled as well.

This is going to be a privacy issue for some.

I think these would be more beneficial to a blog/website instead of a thread within a forum...

Your idea is not bad but I would keep the part of members who visited profile private and not public.
There is nothing so special to hide here, but I have a felling it may start new wars and fights between some members.

I believe that the user's privacy depends on him / herself. I do not suggest disclosing data that can help in revealing identity or IP, etc.
We are discussing the forum interface as the SMF supports the "Profile Visits" function, it just is not enabled.

In the end, this can be left to the discretion of the user, as in the case of "hiding their email address" or "online status."

From recollection the stats have been off-line for about three years.

Interesting and useful feature. I'm not an expert in the field of forum administration, but it seems to me that if theymos is working on moving the forum to a new engine, it is better to make such innovations after moving the forum.

Bump
