Presenting the OWN Token o-ABC: An Academy for Decentralized Education and Awareness About Crypto

The problem

Although many governments throughout the world are recognizing the power of the blockchain and cryptocurrencies, and are seeking to build a regulatory framework around them, the sentiment among the general public about cryptocurrency ranges from skeptical to straight up negative. In early 2020, the Supreme Court of India, for example, overturned a ruling by the Reserve Bank of India, that forbade banks and payment providers from dealing in crypto and providing services to cryptocurrency exchanges. However, the government sentiment regarding cryptocurrency is still very negative in India, and a law is being drafted to put a blanket ban on the same. There are other countries as well that have followed the regressive step of banning cryptocurrency altogether. In such an atmosphere of fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD), it is easy to see why the general public is so skeptical about cryptocurrency and the blockchain ecosystem, and knows so little about the same.


So how do we solve it?

By applying a decentralized approach to educating the masses about cryptocurrency and blockchain, we can counter this negative sentiment and create palpable change. A well-educated public will push for legislation that benefits them, and in turn, the blockchain ecosystem. Japan, for example, was an early adopter of cryptocurrency, making XRP (Ripple) legal tender within the country. We at the OWN Token project aim to, among other things, facilitate this education and be a catalyst for change.
What IS the OWN Token? And how will it help?
The OWN Token is an ERC-20 token (a cryptocurrency token on the Ethereum blockchain) that seeks to decentralize philanthropy, education, scientific research and startup funding. By virtue of being a token, it is spared many of the vicissitudes of traditional altcoins, such as diminshing returns stemming from mining (tokens can’t be mined). The OWN Token project is proud to present as a first step, the OWN Token o-ABC, an academy that facilitates and decentralizes blockchain education.

Introducing o-ABC

o-ABC is an acronym for ‘Online Academy for Blockchain and Cryptocurrency’. It aims to educate the masses about cryptocurrency and the far-reaching benefits of blockchain technology. Within the academy will be online courses, which will lead up to a certificate. To enroll in the Academy, a student must simply pay a tiny amount of money, either in the form of OWN, or via alternate payment gateways. It is our hope that our students will make this world a better place, and push for positive legislation for blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. o-ABC is a nonprofit initiative, just like the OWN Token project itself, and aims to decentralize blockchain and cryptocurrency education.

It is a wonderful project, people should be educated and made more aware of the importance of cryptocurrencies in breaking the economic deadlock and making dealing easier and more comfortable, in addition to being a good way to protect against fluctuations in traditional currency markets.

Please don't create new accounts just to hype up your thread. People will just ignore your project if they will see this or the mod will just delete those posts. If you believe in your own project, just let the users notice this platform of yours.

So OWN token has has good intentions and it was created basically to do donations, but i saw already projects with such idea. What makes you different from others projects and tokens?

i don't see any website link or whitepaper link in this thread, i hope the OP will add the link as soon as possible
because a lot of people will read the whitepaper first before they decide to invest

It was an amazing amount of members if we compared to other projects since most of them only have around 5k members, how the way you did it? I don't think it was only coming from social media.

To the OP, you shouldn't ignore this. If you really want your project known clean by people then address this. Plagiarism is the most bad behavior that did by project owner right now, so since people already see and know the case, you have to respond.

Nahh with this kind of evidence, they just shows us how rotten their way to earn money. I think in the future they will not come to this thread again, they should be ashamed of doing this.

Hm, are you sure? Just wondering the sources you use to get that kind of data, just checked your contract address in etherscan and I didn't see that you have 70k holders of your OWN token it's only said 1,214 holders.

Additionally, in my image above its clearly said that your total supply is only 5 billion. Then why in your ANN it's stated 7 billion? Typos? I don't think so

Nice catch, mate. You had brought strong evidence up that the teams did poorly behaviors to make this thread hype. With that kind of conversation on the image above I think those of people not really interested in OWN project, they are only tried to grab OWN tokens to fulfill their own bag.

This anonymity has made cryptocurrency a secure form of monetary exchange in general, but it has also enabled drug peddlers, child pornography distributors and other degenerates to use it for illicit and illegal purposes, making it an easy target for governments and tyrannical figures worldwide that advocate for a blanket ban on cryptocurrency. However, cryptocurrency isn’t inherently bad. Just like money, it serves a purpose. In the case of the OWN Token, that purpose is very specific and very benign.

So what exactly is the OWN Token?

The OWN Token is an ERC-20 token (a token on the Ethereum blockchain) whose main purpose is to be used to fund philanthropy, scientific research, better disaster management, and education.
