binance is one from many ethereum competitors, and this altcoin is the best one
but, i never think if binance will replace ethereum, because ethereum marketcap almost 10x from binance marketcap mate

It's good to see binance is trying hard to make BNB a success. It had an impressive growth in the last few months. It was really sad that I couldn't get hold to a significant amount of BNB.
They seem to be targeting to achieve something like Ethereum and Tron and they have the capital and expertise to make it a success. Though being a project from a private company, I don't think they'll come even close to what feat Ethereum has already achieved and what they would in the future.

The blockchain of the billion smart chain will be EVM compatible. Meaning it will support all of Ethereum's existing tools but is expected to be faster and transaction fees cheaper.

It's too early to determine the BSC can replace or even become a new competitor for ethereum. What about the old binance chain? it looks like it didn't give a lot of impact too.

We have seen so many restriction in the old binance chain especially to make a project to issue its own asset on the binance chain. I think it's too early to call that will become a competitior for ethereum.

The comparaison is not accurate and binance would never be in competition withy ethereum. Binance itself is built in top of ethereum virtual machine, it's an ethereum Dapp.
You should understand the difference between ethereum/binance chain protocols and eth/bnb prices. If you know how many Dapps are built within EVM, you would self-realise that what op is supposing is far to be real. Without to consider that binance chain is still an under-age technology compared to the giant ethereum and we still don't know a lot about it.

It sounds cool that Binance wants to become a leader in the crypto market. And while Binance is trying to catch up and become a serious competitor for the same capitalization, Ethereum, in turn, also does not standstill. What is the so-called The Road to a Faster Ethereum - Ethereum's scalability. Successful testnet launches indicate a new milestone towards Ethereum 2.0.

I must confess that binance is indeed making great progress in the cryptocurrency space. I learnt about the binance smart chain and it feels like binance is building capacity to become a worthy competitor for ethereum. Ethereum needs to buckle down and get serious with the project, if not it would be relegated. The loop holes in the ethereum blockchain needs to be corrected and the ethereum 2.0 project should be set in place, it's been unduly delayed.

I like Binance, but I don's believe, that crypto stock exchanges can become decentralized

I think binance chain is one of the competitor to ethereum still now but it can not over take ethereum chain and I hope ethereum will be become more strong once ethereum 2.0. launch.

In my opinion, binance smart chain is going to one tough competition for Ethereum but, Ethereum has a lot of following/supporters so I don't think binance will be able to take over ethereum anytime soon.

The answer is, of course, Binance can replace Ethereum, but Binance must have advantages that differentiate it from Ethereum, if Binance only has a few advantages, I think it is impossible to beat Ethereum. For now, we will see how the Binance smart chain develops.

I don't think that Binance aims to replace Ethereum, it can be a good competitor but I don't think that it's possible to replace Ethereum network now. Binance chain is still too young and though it makes a lot of efforts to take away some part of Ethereum users it still can't deal with high load. As an example the API of BSC wasn't able to cope with a high number of visits on DegoFinance today. But anyway it's good that we have some alternative blockchains like BSC.

Binance is a centralized exchange, and all their products will not be able to reach the popularity comparable to that of ethereum. My subjective opinion

Marketcap is clearly not the point here, but the technology. And binance also knows the problems in the ethereum blockchain since they are built on top of ethereum to start with. Ethereum's blockchain is experiencing many issues in terms of scalability and speed which will become a bigger problem in the future.

Binance smart chain on the other hand has a wider scalability, faster speed, and a future proof technology compared to ethereum. Binance does not aim to replace ethereum though, they wanted to offer a better platform and product, an alternative, they even made it compatible with the ethereum blockchain.

Hell no! One DeFi project DEGO with it's 40k supporters migrated from Ethereum to BSC and it litteraly tore a new asshole in BSC.
Everything was laggy, RPC API was shutting down, things were going crazy. And that's just 1 project with 40k users.

So no, i don't think BSC is anywhere near replacing ETH

Why do we have to compare every blockchain network with ethereum, I mean we have heard terms like ethereum killer bla bla many times before but the conclusion is that every project will achieve its market value out of dozens of factors so no project can be compared and every project is different.

Binance chain has its own advantage over Ethereum, for now is faster, cheaper and ready made exchange to list your project but it is too centralized, who are those people validating the nodes, it is just a set of few cabals involved. I believe the Centralization of the chain is what is driving quality team away from the chain, if they decide to be more transparent and more Decentralized it could help proper it to new height but not for now

binance launchpad platform started to dominate the ieo ecosystem. If a project is able to launch their token sale in launchpad it means that project will not have any issues about collecting the cap.

No altcoin can replace eth, though their are many altcoins doing well, in which bnb is one of them, but nevertheless, ethereum is a unique project with unique features.

Replace? I do not think so.
BSC and ETH are both strong, but the ETH ecosystem is stronger and emerges first so that adoption is wider. Besides BSC is not a competitor of ETH, I have also seen CZ comment on this on Twitter. BSC is compatible with Ethereum, so with more and more ETH-based defi projects joining the BSC, it will provide more and more profitable options for users, reduce transaction density on the ETH network, so that transaction fees can be cheaper.

BSC is just having a potential to be a new competitor for ethereum, i remember when so many people said binance chain will replace the ethereum platform but in fact it didn't even get a lot of demand for the tokenization purpose.
If BSC will be the same as binance chain which fully controlled by binance and it will have the same result as the old binance chain.
It looks like BSC is much more better rather than old binance chain.
this is a very interesting competition.

I cannot deny that BSC is one of the potential altcoins in the market of crypto space. But just like what others thinking it can surpass some of the coins perhaps it may take more time before it happens. Because there are also a lot of coins out there that are more potentials compared to BSC, but this is just my assessment only based on my observation happening in this field business industry of cryptocurrency.

If ETH continues with its high gas costs I think binance can replace it, I have used the binance smart chain a lot and the transaction fees are much cheaper and very fast. Binance smart chain has copied everything eth has today.

BSC be main competitor for ethereum at this moment, moreover they have swap feature not only as smart contract platform. in future if ethereum could not improve their gas fee , slowly traders and developers will leave it. at this moment , BSC user growth massively. in any group they talk about swaping coin in BSC that will get airdrop.


bsc will be next uniswap in my opinion , and it will not take long time anymore. its starting get hype and much traders use BSC.

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said he would not replace eth instead CZ wanted to help eth because the eth fee network density was very large. in my opinion the idea of cz to make bsc is very diamond because coin binance will continue to be adopted by new companies who want to make new projects. it is likely that the bnb will stand parallel to eth.

This question has been asked for a long time. however, I do think that Binance is growing at a faster pace than Ethereum for now. however, people still thought that ethereum could not be replaced by any coin even more so when ethereum 2.0 was launched. However, this is still speculation, so when Binance is focused on developing BNB and making their own smart chain, then I think BNB could be the newest competitor to ethereum which has huge potential.

BNB is very competitive and they keep on growing so this can be a big threat for ETH if they didn't do anything about this one, aside from the anticipated ETH 2.0 update, they should develop new things to address the problem on the fees. I see BNB as a great coin and this is not just an ordinary exchange now, I'm a hodler of BNB and I'm hoping for a big pump in the market because of this update with BNB, though I don't see this coin to replace ETH on top but at least made a big threat to ETH.

Looks at ETH market cap. It's 10 times massive than BNB. But Binance smart chain has the potential to overcome ETH and it is one of the top competitors of the ETH network. But we should keep in mind that the ETH network is also upgrading and ETH 2.0 is on the line with many developments. ETH network has higher fees compare to BNB but this problem will also be solved after ETH 2.0 launched.

Every now and then we keep hearing about things like this, about a certian blockchain beating Ethereum, or a certain platform coming up with better services to replace Ethereum and so on, and yet at the long run Ethereum will still keep standing and not only that but continues to grow. Therefore having seen many case scenarios like this, I can still say it again that no blockchain currently can replace that of Ethereum and the earlier most people understand that, the better for them.
On the other hand, it is worthy to point out that the Binance team are trying everything possible to ensure that their platform continues to grow as well as beating others. Also, I think it's too early to start judging how successful the Binance Smart Chain will be, let's give it time and see what happens but taking into account how experienced the Binance team are, there is every tendency the Smart Chain will be a success.

I don't see bnb replacing Ethereum, Ethereum has been around for a long time and so much has happened on Ethereum blockchain, even if any coin will replace Ethereum, it might take a long time to achieve that. Ethereum has come a long way.

Binance smart chain is a good team move at this moment, and its gaining popularity becouse ether fees are too expensive, while BSC cheap. I just have one question, will BSC be needed when the ether 2.0 comes out with cheap commissions?

The Binance Smart Chain is just a copy of nothing more. I think the real developers hate that. They need more creativity than such blatant copying.
Although the bonus fund for developers on Binance is quite a lot, projects still choose Ethereum as the place to place the code and develop on it more than Binance.
Low cost is just one of the bright spots where Binance is better than Ethereum. When Ethereum 2.0 came into being, the cost on this blockchain was no longer a big deal.

Binance Chain used Cosmos which seems to be better than ETH as it is Application Specific Blockchain meaning you can make the functions more efficient than how ETH are doing things via Solidity. It is faster as well not just cheaper because it can handle more transactions per second while at the same time it can communicate to other chains meaning it can talk to BTC, BCH, ETH smart contracts etc. ETH is more popular definitely though.

Bnb can never be the new ethereum. Binance is a coin depending on the exchange market. It is not as decentralized as Ethereum. There are many factors that will affect its price and confidence index. Having smart chain does not mean that it may be new ethereum.

It's possible for binance chain to be as big as Ethereum is today in near future but taking over Ethereum won't be that easy, honestly this year so far binance chain and bnb is one of the best project that bring the highest ROI for holders, the team are very capable of anything, three figures is possible for this project
