Title: [Closed] Buying Bitcoins Via Paypal (Again) - $3/BTC
Post by: Ryland R. Taylor-Almanza on November 25, 2011, 06:20:03 AM
I just made a trade with paypal today, but I gambled it all away on Dragon's Tale (http://dragons.tl) (God, they're making so much money off of me!) So I'm looking for 10 more btc.

My only option to buy bitcoins right now is paypal echeck, and I realize that everyone hates paypal (especially echeck), so I'm offering a high rate of 3 USD per BTC. I have a good rating on #bitcoin-otc (http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=RylandAlmanza&sign=ANY&type=RECV). I'm looking to buy 10 BTC. Let me know in this thread or pm me if you're interested.

I'll sell you 10 @ $3/per - i am $20 short on my newegg purchase and too lazy to deposit @ the ATM, so this solves my problem as well  ;D

Are you sure? Sounds like you want your money quick, and echeck means that it has to withdraw from my bank account first, so you'd have to wait a few days before your money is spendable. Let me know if you still want to trade or not. :)

Are you sure?  I assumed the same thing until a week ago when my friend payed me back for a video card and he used the bank transfer option in paypal, i was surprised when I got the $400 instantly and he confirmed it hadn't even put an auth on his bank account yet, i went on to spend the money 5 minutes later with no problem.  Not sure what happened there...

Well, I guess it can't hurt to try. I'll send first, and if you can't spend the money, just cancel it. Sound good? PM me a paypal address.

Well it wasn't instant, 5 business days to clear, but I'll go out on a limb here.  Sent you 10 BTC, coming from mtgox so it might take a bit longer.

Ah, I wasn't aware there was a difference between echeck and bank transfer.

That was not an echeck he sent you that is what happens when you have credit card linked to your paypal account and you send bank funds the receiver gets it instantly. It used to take Paypal at least two sometimes three days until they took the money from my bank account when sending that way.
