Title: What is the best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners
Post by: beaxchange on October 21, 2020, 06:44:21 AM
Cryptocurrency now is an integral part of the financial mainstream, but it still has a long way to go. Despite the niche size, wealthy people around the world add cryptocurrencies to their portfolios. Large investment funds, such as Grayscale and Andreessen Horowitz, increase their holdings, Grayscale received more than $1 billion in the last 12 months from its clients. For a retail investor, it might be a good idea to follow the big fish. There are many ways to profit on cryptocurrencies, but the main two ways are trading and investing. Both of these ways require picking a good service to store and manage the funds, which can be a little challenging for a beginner. In this article, we’ll review some basic rules on how to choose a great cryptocurrency exchange. However, before digging deeper into making money, let’s see how cryptocurrency works overall...

The concept of digital currency has existed for many years. Before cryptocurrencies, there were many attempts to create some form of digital money. One of them was Ecash, which was created in 1983, and it became Bitcoin’s predecessor. In 2009, Bitcoin was created by Satoshi Nakamoto, a mysterious developer, and the new class of assets was born.

Bitcoin was the first example of successful blockchain technology implementation in finance. A blockchain is a database where the entries are sequences of blocks. Every block contains information about the previous one, its hash, and of course, information on transactions. Blockchain is a distributed technology, in the case of Bitcoin and the majority of other blockchains, copies of the database are stored on the nodes of all participants. This distribution allows making sure that nobody would be able to change the database, to reverse transactions or to add new ones without everyone knowing.

Another feature is that every user has their own wallet – to send or receive cryptocurrency, you have to know a public key which is a sequence of Hex-numbers, for example, 1PAt5oKQGBRigFDY6fB2WgQTtQJNzFyTDr. The private key, on the other hand, is a tool that allows signing transactions and managing the funds. All the assets on blockchain truly belong to their owners. Overall, immutability and true ownership are two things that differ cryptocurrencies from the government-issued fiat money.

The simple conclusion is – the best cryptocurrency exchange for a beginner is a service that lets you easily choose the best options and see the full picture.
This is a bad conclusion, I got it from the link you posted up there. The first thing to consider while choosing an exchange is the security, no matter the best option or the full picture of an exchange you noticed, if it is not secure, the exchange will not last for long. Then, the second can be the ease of use. Also in the link or site, there is no single exchange that was mentioned. The best exchanges I have used are hodlhodl and bsiq, but I have used binance also during complex trading types, especially for future trading orders.

Did you forgot simplicity and user friendly! If you as a beginner is looking to join a crypto exchange i think the first thing to come to mind is how easy to use and understand the platform is,  because not able to understand the platform will also affect the ability to choose the best options, before talking about security,  the issue of security broad because no exchange is 100% secure, many people transact in many exchange without knowing the level of the security of that exchange,
Although it all depends on individual preferences.

The best way to pick is the one you are feeling comfortable with, obviously you shouldn't be comfortable with it for that easily, but we could potentially make it work even with not the best ones neither so you could find a middle one, or you could pick binance like every other person does anyway.

There are things you need to look at, things like exchange fee's, and volume and obviously security or check if they look shady, how long they have been operating and many other stuff like that, I would say that would work to be shaping up something in the end that you could work with. After you know the exchanges in an out with all the data, it is all about that comfortable feeling, if you are feeling comfortable with any of them you could pick them to try to make a profit trading.

I hate to say this but you are trying to shill or advertise your link (or creating a backlink or doing off-page SEO), and this topic has been discussed many times here in the forum. I can’t count though, because there are so many of these topics existed here on Bitcointalk.

And of course, there are so many Youtube videos talking about that topic for beginners. Just saying.

Here are a few things that you should consider before picking the best cryptocurrency exchange suited for trading.
-Fees
-Exchange Rates
-Reputation
-Security
-Easy to use
and definitely technical support, if you are new in crypto and exchanges you shall need this option for future exchanges.
When I first started to be interested in exchange and trading, https://swapspace.co/ (https://swapspace.co/) helped me a lot. Later I used many exchanges, but this one remained the best for me due to its simplicity and ease of use

I have used many exchanges and what I found is that the simpliest exchanges for beginners usually have the largest rates and the most complicated usually have the cheapest rates. Take Gemini for exchange. In huge large fonts it asks how much BTC (or alts) you want to buy and have one large button to BUY (or sell) and that's it. You are buying BTC against USD and can't accidently buy BCH or ETHBTC or LTCBTC or BCHBTC etc. Those are the common mistakes that many extremely new people to crypto make. Even if you want to buy say ETH by selling BTC, you can't do it with the main platform, need to upgrade to some activetrader platform. They do this to make it as easy as possible. Coinbase is the same.

Now take Bitfinex for example. Sure it has a nice design and everything but there is no way some 60 year old person can figure out exactly how to buy bitcoin there. Way too many links, way too many different alt coin pairs and the tether might create some confusion. But Bitfinex has like 0.1% rates while Gemini has 2% rates. So since they are getting away with 2% rates and people are still using the exchange it means that there are people out there that prefer to pay a higher rate for easy platform than the other way around.

I suggest bigger exchanges with good reputation and trust which I think is the most important factor. The others to check: security which is also related to reputation in crypto community, customer support, low fees, good liquidity, user friendly platform.
currently, Binance, Coinbase, and Huobi have all of what you have said...
For newbies, it is highly recommended to start trading on large exchanges with real trading volume so that you are familiar with the user interface displayed by the exchange site. Don't you dare try a newcomer exchange because it is very risky.

Instead of using real money, I prefer to suggest demo versions of crypto exchanges. It will be early to talk about the crypto margin trading but there are demo versions of leveraged crypto trading which can be useful for learning the up-downs in the volatile crypto markets. Even 1:10 leverage is enough to understand the risk management in case they skip the demo version and go directly for the low capital trading. 1:100 leverage is for experienced traders but testing the skills with high leverage is a good idea in case of trader is on the demo server. There are crazy leverage trades too, 1:1000 leverage means having a $1 and trading with $1000 equally trades. Now multiply the mentioned leverage with your trading capital, sounds crazy right?

Suppose, this thread will stay active for a long time. Thus, the answer that should work here for all these months or years will be as follows. Find on the internet the exchanges list and read about them, taking into account the time they work and real users’ reviews.

I was a newbie at that time (actually until now, I am also not a good trader   ;D ;D ;D),
What I did at that time was about only trading in my local exchange, without thinking of the trading volume about t. But at least, I think about the legality and also the reputation of the exchange. because I didn't want to risk my very small funds to lose in the exchange. So, I only chose a reputable exchange in my local country.

But, it is likely not good enough if only pay attention to reputation and trust, There must be also other things to be considered in order to get more profits, being comfortable while trading, and others.

And here are what at least I should consider:
Here are a few things that you should consider before picking the best cryptocurrency exchange suited for trading.
-Fees
-Exchange Rates
-Reputation
-Security
-Easy to use
And of course, trading volume and also more events that are given by the exchanges are also part of my consideration.
One more, I think that if there is a Demo menu in that exchange where we can learn first before trading live, it will be better.

The most important thing is how our strategy and analysis in trading, and how we manage our funds, and also our emotion

disclaimer first, this is just my opinion and my experiences in the exchanges that I've been use before. When I was a newbie, the biggest mistake that I made is where I put real money quickly without studying and making research first. So the result is obvious and I lost most of money, and I know that it is my fault for being ignorant in the market. Then I research about trading and I found Bitfinex, so for the newbies out there this exchange is my suggestion. Why it is my suggestion? because they have a features called paper trading or what they called virtual trading where in you can trade cryptocurrencies real time even you do not put real money. So this feature is for practice trading first, you can sign up there and try it for months before putting real money. And also be aware that the money that you will put in certain exchange is the money that you are willing to lose.

There are many types of traders and investors that are losing huge in different exchanges because they are always thinking winning big in just small period of time. Trading is a game of possibilities so everything can happen there so our thinking should be different and we should not just expect winning but also losses in order to be prepared on it if that time happens. But if you do not want to do practice trading then I suggest Binance and Kucoin as substitute exchange.

I think the points you have covered in your post are really good. All these should be considered by a trader before using any exchange.
But Most important of all is the security and trust of an exchange. Bitcoin and most of the other cryptos are decentralized, so there is no authority(legal) on exchanges which can ensure the right working of exchanges. Also, new investors should trade with reputed coins with high volume to stay away from manipulation by big fishes.
Moreover, Big exchanges have a backup of funds behind them which give a sense of security to investors. Like hackers stole $40 million Btc in 2019, but still, no investors have to bear any losses. I only like to trade with Binance after this incident. (it's not a recommendation to use an exchange but my opinion)

That an exchange is a big exchanges doesn't mean it can't go down tomorrow and exit scam with Investors funds on the exchange as of when the incident occurs. Big exchanges are also target to hack as hackers are quite positive if their hack becomes a success they'll likely go away with more funds compared to when the exchange was a medium volume exchange.

Well most exchanges currently in the space todays has all the feature you highlighted but still won't get a recommendation from me that easily if I was to give a newbie advice on an exchange to use. All are vulnerable to hack like the recent (Kucoin) so if I was to make a pick, I'll go for Binance as you stand the chances of getting back your funds if the exchange get hacks due to their insurance policy.

This is in addition to their other features like newbie/user friendly interphase/platform.

Also important aspects for an exchange are the number of traded coins - and above all the quality of coins which are on trade. You'll not want to end up with bags of shilled shitcoins.

Don't forget you cannot expect a rather secure exchange like Binance to offer the lowest fees on one side and offer a watertight insurance policy on the other side.

As with all things in real life, you'll have to find a compromise, based on your own personal list of priorities.

edit: FYI, the guy I quoted is a Swapspace shiller, so don't just open up an account without DYOR.

The best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners is binance In the case of exchanges the risk is much lower here. For newcomers there is no fear of losing much of the fee. The exchange in Binance allows newcomers to trading Bitcoin passively and therefore the inability to spend a huge amount of time on market analysis is the reason why Bitcoin transactions allow users to set up more efficient trades without always keeping them at the top of the market. This allows newcomers to trading very easily.

Did you forgot simplicity and user friendly!

There's no point in developing an exchange which has everything but it takes 10 steps to do 1 thing and have to spend a long time trying to work out what's what. This being beginner level or not.

In that respect, user friendliness and simplicity are top factors to consider, among these are:
  • Geographical Location & Restrictions
  • Authenticity, Security, Anonymity and Support
  • Purchase Method
  • Supported Tokens
  • Trading Platform/Peer-to-Peer Exchange/Broker
  • Fees
  • Volume and Liquidity

For a more in depth read about these, check this  (https://coinidol.com/ethereum-critical-support-380/)out.

There are tons of reasons to pick an exchange but security and trust has to be at the top level for anyone, that is just not something we could forget and move on and not care about, we are talking about literally safety of your own money and there are tons of people who deposit thousands of dollars even hundreds of thousands of dollars so it is vitally important that you pick a place that is secure and trustworthy.

Binance is huge and has a big volume and they are now spreading towards everything else and doing amazing work but the main thing that made people fall in love with them was the fact that they are secure and got hacked maybe once or twice and each time it happened they ate all the loss and none of the customers got affected. This is why newbies should pick places like that.

Your opinion is not that bad but I cannot see that you have tackled the most important part in choosing the best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners. Here is what I can add base on my experience, if you are still a beginner the most important that you need to look for any exchange to use is their asset security.

Meaning, it will be good if you can use an exchange that will guarantee the safety of your money even if their exchange will be hack like what happened to binance hack and other big exchanges that were hacked. Centralized exchange are quite risky for me if I were to judge as we don't have a full control over our money unlike  decentralized exchanges but we need to gamble for this risk if we want to become a successful trader someday.

All exchange is the best for beginner but they have know first which one market support to withdraw bank account, usually each country have local exchange where support for deposit and withdraw your asset to bank. Looking for bigger chance like trade with many altcoin choose you can check with Binance, huobi, Bitmex, Bittrex and poloniex, there are still have many exchange still not mention here. For the easy how to trade with exchange you can check first on coinmarket cap looking for which one your coin favorite listing and check where is the exchange have higher volume transaction for selling your coin.

There cannot be any big differences for beginners from rest of crypto people hence all the best exchanges are good to go with even in the beginning days. I have not come across an exchange which is built for beginners of crypto space. All the exchanges are being built for traders and the features are usually focusing the ease-to-use for a trader's perspective.

Moreover, there cannot be any safe-heaven like exchange which will never let you commit a mistake because you are just a beginner in the crypto space. You must feel your responsibilities when you are touching a crypto exchange. If you feel that you are not having enough experience for an exchange then you must wait until you gain knowledge and experiences.

All I mean, there cannot a newbie-friendly exchange for problem-free trading or built by having newbies in mind. When you come to trading, your experience is least bothered.

The first thing you should keep in mind when it comes to exchanges is its security, liquidity, elegant interface and good support system. I can suggest that one of the best cryptocurrency exchange is binance.

Binance is an exchange of cryptocurrencies that provides a platform for trading different cryptocurrencies. The exchange fee is really competitive, smooth and fast, compared to other existing major exchanges. Binance has gained a lot of popularity in a short period of time and is is because of the low and competitive exchange fees.

You have noticed correctly and the qualities you have voiced are very important, not only for beginners. On my own, I would add more reliability, since any user or trader trusts the platform with their money. I think no one wants to repeat the story of mt.Gox and the like. Also, I want to add that any beginner needs to make his own choice after looking at the various cryptocurrency exchanges. Try on your own experience several platforms and choose the one that you like best. For example, beginners can read the reviews here: https://cryptototem.com/binance-review/. This will reduce the time spent looking for best crypto exchange and cut off the unsuitable ones at an early stage.

If you are newbie and you want to deal with regular btc/usdt type of deals I would suggest coinbase and kraken they are very known and they are very good at what they are doing as well, you would be at very safe hands when using them. Obviously if you are not capable of doing USD deposits and from another nation that has trouble with swift type of deals that would mean you have to pick something from your own nation and we can't suggest any about that.

However if you want bitcoin versus alts as a newbie that is definitely binance without a doubt. I do not agree with people saying everyone should pick the ones they like and all, binance is a great gateway to start and after that you could change however you want. Uniswap on the other hand is getting very famous for DEX reasons and if you are newbie that can understand that, it could be potentially very great for you as well.

It is very important for newbies to choose the best cryptocurrency exchanges, because using the best cryptocurrency exchanges will
make it easier when trading. There are many things that must be considered when we define cryptocurrency exchanges, including
security, reputations, volume, popularity, trading features, easy to use and fees. And of all the criteria I mentioned Binance exchange
meets these criteria and is very suitable for use trading by newbies.

Kucoin is one of its generation's growing crypto currency exchanges, offering various platforms and activities that we will surely enjoy. It's a must try swap for cryptocurrency.

Although when the issues of best exchanges are been debated, we can go on and on to list the exchange of our preference but the user in position to make this decision choices and needs should always be considered fast as it's necessary what he/she intend using the exchange for that actually matter and not all the features we speak about.

Nevertheless what you highlighted above shouldn't be more in the discussion unless the OP has interested in withdrawing his profit directing to his/her local currency account. In that case they have to look towards local exchanges and not much of the global exchanges but when the exchange are fixed at global exchanges for trading purpose than users friendly interphase, easy communication via customer service and security has to become the first priority over other features

All exchange is good for beg8nner and proffesional trader because almost exchange have the same price and bot have different coin price from one exchange to other exchange. Before choosing an exchange for trading you should know does available to witdraw fund to yoir bank account or not. Many exchnage market global is not support withdraw to your bank and you need looking for another exchange market to withdraw your fund to be cash money. Binance last moment available withdraw fund to our bank but last several week have suspend for witjdrawing and wr can't withdraw to bank now.

Well, -- if you want to look for the best exchange, then you have to consider the keypoints of choosing one. Reputation and Security are the two things you must consider choosing. There is a lot of exchanges right there, couldn't name them but I can assure you, consider the two keypoints and you'll find the best. I myself only consider exchanges that will let my autopilot. As long as security and reputation are strong I'm very good to go. I just consider exchange as my store of value. Doesn't look for high profits anyways. That's not how life works for me.

What I noticed also with BNB is the price gap between sell/buy order is not so wide. Actually, very close. I think at the moment, Binance is one of the secure exchanges to deposit your funds because they have SAFU in place also. And if you look at their withdrawal fees, they are relatively cheaper than most. But still, it is up to the trader what features he's looking for and what coins he's going to trade with. Because some coins or tokens are not being traded with Binance.

In the light of the recent exchange hacks and data breach, I would suggest that beginners use trustworthy exchanges only to make their trades especially the less controversy ones like Binance and ftx.

If you're basing your judgement on hacked exchange, then Binance can't be mentioned as your best pick as they have been previously hacked just few months back although theirs didn't cause much of a panic in the community since they already had measures set up to help in situations like hack. They had (and probably still do have) an insurance policy to help when the exchange is in crises.

You can read more on the hack here; Hackers Stole $40 Million from Binance Cryptocurrency Exchange (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wired.com/story/hack-binance-cryptocurrency-exchange/amp). This isn't some cheap shot to fud on Binance but when exchange capable of withstanding hacks are debated on, no centralized exchange should be the prefer choice as they're all vulnerable.

Decentralization exchange should come into mind instead and not those merely posing as dex when actually aren't. Those are the so called dex getting hacked because a typical dex shouldn't hold your funds.

Yes, I agree. Binance can be the choice for beginners. Binance has a big list of altcoin which he can choose to trade or to invest. But if you have a local exchange, then I suggest you try your local exchange because your local exchange should have an office to operate the exchange, and if something happens, you can easily contact your local exchange. You can also try to trade on Kucoin exchange, Poloniex, and Bittrex if you want to find another trading experience. But in Poloniex and Bittrex, you have to verify yourself by sending the document to them. In this matter, Binance will be the best choice for beginners because they can skip the verification process.

Choosing an exchange is a matter for those newbies in the market because our main goal first is to protect our funds and we can do it by choosing an exchange that have tight and good security. A good community is also a matter because in that way you can verify or get some information if the exchange is legit or not. The service of the exchange is also a factor because for sure to contact and solve the problems that we may experience. There are many poor exchanges out there who have poor services wherein your complain will take days or even weeks. When it come to verification then BINANCE is one of the best exchange that you could choose because you can deposit and withdraw their easily. OKEX is good when it comes to security but I do not like the KYC of OKEX wherein you are required to present a lot of papers in order to pass the KYC and move to the next level in terms of limit.

For beginners it is good to go with Binance, because most of the trades get executed within minutes because of its increased volume. Also it is quite an easy thing to understand and create a buy/sell order. With almost every exchange the trading pattern is same. The difference is out of the volume and the execution. Also Binance provides with the best support compared to other cryptocurrency exchanges.

Pick something that's reliable, trusted enough (relative to how much you are investing), and provides the basic analytical tools you want in one place. You can of course use additional tools to help you make better informed decisions, but when you are just starting, it helps to keep things simple and in one place.

we must choose our convince coin and pic the high level security, and low fees exchanges so we can choose coinbase, Bittrex and Binance. Because these three exchanges are more volume platform.
Every beginner must be having their own preferences on choosing preferred exchange but those preferences should be based on level of security exchanges are offering. After security they can look for features like what are the technical tools, an exchange is offering and what are the pairs are available and then fees for trading and withdrawal should be considered.

Pick something that's reliable, trusted enough (relative to how much you are investing), and provides the basic analytical tools you want in one place.
Yeah, beginners cannot handle multiple resources at the time and due to this reason it is always recommended to go for those exchanges which are rich in features and having good customer support. Being reputed must be very first criteria every beginner must be considering while listing out exchanges to begin with.

You ask "what is a good cryptocurrency exchange for beginners" then when I read your next statement it just doesn't fit. You only discuss the rich man's fund, discuss concepts and so on. For example, you only need to enter a few well-known cryptos that you know, so that people who read will provide suggestions according to your questions. Don't even suddenly fall far short of your concept.

Am I the only one who thinks if you are strictly talking about erc20 tokens, uniswap has actually become better for newbies? I know that it is limited, I know that you have to just focus on erc20 tokens and you can't trade anything else, which means if you still go with Binance it would make sense because there is all the big coins that you would want there, but if you do not mind sticking with just erc20 tokens, uniswap became the big hit.

Reason is, it is much simpler to use, you just connect your wallet there and you make any trade you want in seconds without paying much fee and you just happen to get that coin. Obviously the fee structure needs some overhaul with eth being expensive right now but it is not really that big of a deal right now anyway if you pay lower gwei.

The good way of choosing the best cryptocurrency exchange starts with what you as a user do really desire on what must be the features involve on the cryptocurrency exchange that you wanted to have and of course wanted to get engage with. After analyzing what you do really desire, then go seek and have that exchange. On seeking a good exchange, you must consider (1) Security of course for we do know that it the most essential thing that an exchanger must have for we are dealing with hackers so an exchange must be safe and secured for our funds to be inputted on it. (2) Convenience because it would be so much hassle finding it difficult to navigate specially when doing transactions. (3) Reputation for there are existing scam exchanges so you better be wise on seeking reputable exchanges that suits your preference. Those were just some features and there are still a lot more. Those are only the most common and essential features you must seek on a cryptocurrency exchange.

Well, If you're looking for a highly secured and high reputation exchange, then go to Binance. Binance almost made it to the fortune 500. They are
originated from silicon valley people and that fact is enough to build their reputation. Binance is the first exchange to be totally regulated. So if you're
looking for one, go with this exchange. [I would highly recommend it]

On other hand, some of my friends suggested those crypto exchange that has a copy trading feature because that is very easy for a newbie. But how did you know on your own if you will rely on others?

It depends on exactly what the beginner wants. Is it a crypto to fiat exchange, or crypto to crypto exchange? Is it a Custodial exchange (centralized exchange) or non custodial (decentralized) exchange? A beginner needs an exchange he can easily start using with minimal or no guide at all.

When choosing an exchange, one has to consider a lot of things like; security of the exchange, reputation, trading volume/liquidity, trading fee, user friendliness, etc. If it is Custodial exchange and we are talking of crypto to crypto exchange, then I do pick Binance exchange. Binance App is easy for a beginner to start using, and the web interface is also beginner's friendly. And the their customers support respond on time.

For Fiat to Crypto exchange, I do pick Coinbase.

If the newbies can search for the right exchange from many sources before he deposits his money to trade, he will not get any problem because he can find the right exchange. Whether it is KYC or not, the newbies can decide what exchange that he wants, and if he doesn't want to do KYC, he will know that Binance can be his choice because Binance gives a choice to its members not to do KYC but members will get limitations on the withdrawal.

I guess the withdrawal limitations will not be a problem for the newbies because while they are learning about trading, they can avoid withdrawing in a big amount unless they are making a big profit. They need to verify themselves to withdraw a big profit.

Exchanger is not actually determined for beginners or pros, because pro ones can still suffer losses.  You can trade on any exchange but choosing a large volume exchange will make it easier for beginners to understand how the situation and conditions are when trading.  for example taking advantage of the moment to buy or sell. And Of course many trader recomended binance exchange for trading.
Indeed. Whether you are a pro or beginner, they both experience and suffer from losses, so your trading strategy does not depend on the exchange you are using. I also recommend Binance exchange for trading because it is suitable for both beginners and pro and many people guarantee that Binance is a safe exchange. But some suggest Bittrex is a suitable exchange for beginners because it will be easier for them to understand trading in its user-friendly interface compared to Binance.

Binance for me. All basic and even advance features of trading are on that exchange. Their platform is very mobile friendly too. I've been trading there since the website was established and I have not encounter any problems so far. It has also large volumes of crypto so you won't have any problem what to trade.

To be honest there is no cryptocurrency exchange for beginners .

That is true. All exchanges has almost identical and easy to understand users interface. If you have seen on exchange, you how others work and where to find what you search. The task of each and every cryptocurrency exchange is to create easy to use and easy to understand user interface, design, features. No one creates anything that it will be complicated to use.

While choosing an exchange, just use the one that has trading pair you wish to trade, check their fees and google a bit about it. If it is a scam or shady, google will show proofs in first 10-15 links.

Well, I can't tell what is the best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners because they are the ones who should determine whether it is easy for them to use or not.
The only advice I can give is that upon choosing an exchange the first thing you should consider is the security, no matter how user-friendly the exchanges is if the security isn't that good then what's the point? all of your funds will be more exposed at risk. And then there's Reputation you should also need to consider, I think determining the reputation won't be that difficult to learn, just look on the web what exchanges are the highest volume by then you can already tell if it is reputable or not.

Beginner better looking for an exchange have trading platform with your local money peer and not looking for global exchange have peer ethereum, USDT and bitcoin. I think with local money peer you can learn more and faster than you use global platform peer to trade, Every country have local exchange and you can create account and use additional security from mobile activated until 2fa. Most important is how to secure your account first before begin trading and investing with bitcoin or altcoin later. You need check all your security have added or not before deposit your  money to exchange account.

Anything that would be easy to understand should always be the first choice. As someone who has gotten into crypto very early but got involved with trading very late I can tell you that some of you guys could understand about the technical parts of crypto very easily while on my first days I didn't even understand how I could trade, the page where you could buy and sell any coin you want looked too complicated to me.

I understand that some of you may think "how could a trade page look complicated" but believe me there are many people like me who do not like that page and have hard time understanding. That is why I like places like Uniswap nowadays, because they are simple and there is nothing you need to understand, it is just two boxes and you click on what you want to sell and you pick what you want to buy and you click buy and it is the end.

Its mainly suggested yet this is the first thing i do prefer when choosing up a platform on where i can make out trades basing of with my local currency but

one thing that do really make me quit is on the fees that being imposed and the gap of prices are way too huge compared to the global or known top exchangers at the market
on where you would really be thinking that it would be much better to move out there yet i cant afford on paying up fees or willingly to be deducted that too high.

When it comes to best cryptocurrency exchange then theres no specific one because all of platforms can be easily to understand when it comes to interface.
They do only differ in some aspect though.

Also the thing to make sure is that the exchange you are using is legal in your country because there are times when during registration they will accept you but later create problems so better to check that too.

Platform for beginners or pro traders it always is same mostly because there are some advanced features but you are not bound to use them when you are new into trading so as long as the exchange is trusted, has low fees on transactions and more importantly trading then it is a good choice and if you are trying features like leverage trading then also check for that, a perfect choice might be Binance but I don't want to recommend any exchange given how frequently exchanges are turning into scams.

I can't tell what is the best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners because they are the ones who should determine whether it is easy for them to use or not.
True, I actually use different exchanges often based on what I am trying to do because of I am simply looking to sell some coins I would do that with one exchange but if I am doing some leverage trading, like recently when BTC started moving up I borrowed some money and purchased bitcoins as I knew the price will rise and for that leverage trading I used binance and actually made decent profits. So basically depending on the need and the use case one can chose an exchange.

one thing everyone can do before they try a new exchange is try to locate the reputation of the exchange here at forum or at least google it so that you may know if there are any ongoing allegations against them with solid proof and if there are some then better to avoid them for time being.

I like the car example you gave because everyone has their own choice and everyone has different exchanges for their needs. Some wants simplicity and easy of use while some want extra features and ability to perform multiple actions.

I do not want to be the reason for someone's loss in case the exchange has malicious intent later but I have used and liked the way bitfinex works and it has quite easy to understand interface which might suit well for beginners but then again like many guys said do your own research and due diligence before trading on any platform and one golden advice I can confidently give you is that "never use an exchange like a wallet, sooner or later you might regret doing that".

Funny thing is that I also visited the website and you didn’t even list any exchange. How do you write a whole article about exchange that’s best for newbies and you didn’t care to recommend a few, at least five or so, exchanges that you know are very good for starters? Anyway, I will always recommend Coinbase and Binance. These two are really good and they have mobile apps too.

Before using Binance as my exchange market trading I ever used Poloniex and my local exchange but there are not well good result with always have delay process deposit when I got good moment for buying some altcoin have to wait until deposit process few minute late from using binance, for my local exchange is most stupid exchange because process deposit very long than binance and I need half hour for getting my deposit and withdraw take the same time too, just I left both exchange and get using only Binance.

However, everyone has different preferences. Be sure to take some factors into consideration before deciding which exchange is right for you.

The best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners is coinbase which will really help them to understand so many things in the market. Many beginners don't have the experience to trade with professional in the market base on they don't have coinbase idea to flow with other trader, that is causing them fear not to run loss in the market.
It is good to start with people that know the coinbase very well for you not to find it difficult, how to use it to make a good profit in the exchange market.

I would state that would attempt to be getting down to business something in the end that you could work with. After you know the trades in an out with all the information, it is about that open to feeling. Bitcoin latently and hence the powerlessness to invest an immense measure of energy on market investigation is the motivation behind why Bitcoin exchanges permit clients to set up more effective exchanges without continually keeping them at the highest point of the market.

it can be used by beginners. Since popular exchanges usually have good security systems, has a large selection of coins and also has complete
trading features. With all these advantages beginners will find it easier to trade. So the exchanges I recommend for beginners to use are Binance,
Okex, Bittrex, Bithumb, Kraken, Huobi and Uniswap.

I agree with you, all exchanges have the same quality when it comes to regular trading! And all of them are pretty much similar, you place buy and sell orders... but there are exchanges like Binance and KuCoin, if you hold their BNB or KCS you can have lower trading fees (it's the same for Huobi...and some other exchanges)...
And I wouldn't joke with margin, api and futures... you really need to know what you are doing there, or you can easily stay without money! For me all that is too complicated, so I am not in that!
For fast swaps you don't even need exchange... there are a few good ones I use! Decentralized, without KYC and all that... easy to use and it can save you time!

For exchanges to be newbie friendly, they got to have simple interface that is easy to understand and interact with, for example Binance has two classic(basic) and advanced option to choose from when you want to buy spot which could make it easier to figure out for beginners.

In addition to that they should include some extra info(some use question mark(?) to give users more info) next to each button and function so that the user doesn't have to read through guides necessarily to know the basic functions and how to use the exchange to simple just buy and sell.

So based on my own personal experience I can recommend Binance and Kucoin, not only they have good liquidity on all pairs, they are also very beginner friendly.

The best way to pick is the one you are feeling comfortable with, obviously you shouldn't be comfortable with it for that easily, but we could potentially make it work even with not the best ones neither so you could find a middle one, or you could pick binance like every other person does anyway.

This the basis for my preferences in looking for a good and suitable exchange for me.

I always look for an exchange where I'm comfortable when accessing it. Also you should explore first a certain exchange before you start using it, try Binance like what he's suggesting. Making profits will depend on your skill and experience so don't hesitate to start on the exchange that you're using.

I learned trading by using Binance and I must say that this is what makes me confident in trading, also check its reviews and feedbacks and also watch some videos before you begin.

The most excellent cryptocurrency trade for apprentices is binance within the case of trades the chance is much lower here. As for newcomers there's no fear of losing much of the expense. The trade in Binance permits newcomers to exchanging Bitcoin latently and thus the failure to spend a tremendous sum of time on showcase investigation is the reason why Bitcoin exchanges permit clients to set up more proficient exchanges without continuously keeping them at the best of the advertise. This permits newcomers to exchanging exceptionally effortlessly.

usually beginners choose a popular exchange, because they follow the advice of people who have done it,
or maybe advice from social media and also YouTube, because I believe that before entering the world of cryptocurrency,
beginners will look for information first, and I recommend that is to register on Binance,
because Binance is the best exchange in the world besides Coinbase and Kraken.

If you are a newbie, you shouldn't get involved with too much money all that much, it is not a smart move to get into bitcoin with all your savings, it would end with a bit of a loss and you getting away and running away. I do not know how much you have, but if you have 100 dollars or more, that should be the max, even if you have 10k saved aside, it should be 100 dollars max, if you have over 10k, like let's say 50k, it should probably be more like 200-300 range, even 500 if you want, but I would still say 100 is enough.

On top of that you should know what you are getting into, if you want to get into bitcoin that is something else, if you want to get in with smaller tokens like defi projects that is something else. You should decide what you want to do depending on what you have and your goals. If you do all of that and spend some time around, you will get used to it and get in bigger.

Using advice from youtube or social media could be deadly for your profits. There are so many people online that want to make money so they suggest stuff to you that would make them more money, like get a low level coin and then suggest it to everyone if they have a good follower base, those followers buy and increase the price and that person sells and gets out. Basically this is more about how social media people can influence the world in the wrong way and that should not be the case for anyone.

I personally feel like it is quite acceptable to follow people on bitcointalk, even though we have people who are idiots here as well, we are a whole population and yes we do have ranks like legendary and sr.member and so forth but we do not have any followers or fame here, everyone comes in and says what they want to say and create a beautiful discussion and that is how it should be, it would give everyone a good idea.

Kucoin exchange was the very first exchange that was introduced to me by my pals who was into crypto back in 2018! It really was not that hard to grasp as i learned alot using that platform to trade BTC and ETH (https://trade.kucoin.com/ETH-BTC) till i learn how to play with altcoins aswell.

Don't really know if there are lot who will agree with me but when I first enter the cryptocurrency market, I used Kucoin exchange for my daily basis of trading for bitcoin which in my opinion is the best decision I have made since its pretty friendly for noobs/newbies. These are the things that I considered when choosing my exchange:
  • Authenticity and security
  • Supported tokens
  • Fee structure
  • User friendliness and simple user interface
  • 24/7 good support since unreasonable things can happen anytime
  • Good liquidity/volume for better market price

So far and still up to this date, I am still using their exchange as they also have loads of events/campaigns which gives me extra profit and also holding $KCS is a good thing for fees and bonus on their exchange, their bonus % wont even can get on banks lol but ofcourse I am also using other exchanges like Binance and Coinbase. Try getting  Bitcoin  (https://trade.kucoin.com/BTC-USDT) or maybe an alt like  XRP  (https://trade.kucoin.com/XRP-BTC) It will be a good start on you! Join on their campaigns too

Good presentation and nice encouragement and advertising but there is no such Best exchange for the Beginners if the traders don't know what's he doing.,

Meaning for the exchange to help the trader is that the trader itself knows what help he needs.

Binance is very friendly user and has good Bot and training tutorial for the beginners to start with so all in all if we are talking best exchange he re? that would be Binance and nothing else.

Kucoin is good yet for me wasn't friendly user at all , though we can choose what always fits our desire and demand .

I concur, even I began in this exchange.. it's just that they tend to list quality coins first. They have an amazing range of cryptocurrencies and is effectively the best spot to go for the lesser-known coins if you are living outside of Europe/Asia since other exchange won't have a similar huge coin pool to look over. Rates are reasonable and stable. The trading experience is exceptionally smooth and there is a lot of security all through the platform.

And much the same as you up to this point I do keep my trading for few cryptos there like XRP (https://trade.kucoin.com/XRP-BTC), BTC (https://trade.kucoin.com/BTC-USDT), and ETH (https://trade.kucoin.com/ETH-BTC) and considerably other transactions

I had a friend who lived near wherever Kucoin was (I really do not know where they are) but he said he was close to kucoins servers and security related stuff and he went to visit it. He even shared photos from outside and a few from inside premises but not where the real servers were for security reasons. He was an IT guy so he wasn't really foreign to this topic and he said that over 10 years of working in IT industry Kucoin had the best server maintenance and security he has ever seen, he said he moved to kucoin with ease after that visit knowing that it was impossible for kucoin to scam anyone after spending that much money and effort and it was also nearly impossible for them to get hacked as well. I believed him but for some reason I just use binance :D.

Where you’re storing your assets should be somewhere safe, then exchange should only be used for when you’re trading them, you can still leave a few percentage of your assets on the exchange if you want. And for people who are newbies, their main focus should be on using top exchanges.

A lot of times I see newbies talk about exchanges they make use of, and these happens to be exchanges that I have never heard of since I have been here. They should be considering exchanges like Coinbase, Binance, and not some random new and small exchanges they find out of nowhere by surfing the net. Beginners must follow this community for feedback about exchanges time to time so that they can secure themselves even exchange hack or exit scams happen.

I have my Coinbase account and wallet and a few hundred in ETH and I m going to leave it alone and actually think I should stake Ethereum with that amount and leave it.   Now, do I deposit another couple hundred into Coinbase into USDC or Dai or whichever I choose and then transfer that to Kraken and buy DOT and whichever i choose there?    Sound right as far as how to?
I don't understand Pairing... and  help.   Uniswap vs Kraken vs Crypto.com vs Bnance any thoughts on this?
Thought I might with to Metamask for a wallet, any thoughts?
Learning Candlesticks along with western elements and I am getting more familiar everyday.
I am a believer in Blockchain and enjoy Sheldon Evans and Guy @ Coinbureau.
This I'm my first forum and first outreach.  Here Goes!

Hello. There are many sites for this purpose and in my opinion almost all of them are similar. I think you should choose according reviews and pay attention on fees.

I think that choosing an exchange based on low rates can be a big mistake, for example there are shady exchanges that have low fees, but they are exchanges that have a lot of scam acusation, they don't solve people's problems and the person will lose money because you chose an exchange that has a low fee. The best thing is to choose an exchange that we know the owners and know that they are people with good character and that have a long-term exchange plan
