Title: Arcticminers.com SCAM Website Review.
Post by: Breakthrough on October 21, 2020, 12:16:05 PM
Hello guys,

I have been scammed by the website mentioned above, they claim to sell a wide variety of cryptocurrency ASIC miners, but are actually just plain scammers.

A little over a month ago I placed an order on their website for 2 Antminers S19 Pro and followed the instructions to pay with Bitcoin as they offer free shipping on orders paid with crypto, everything went smooth until the payment was confirmed, they told me they were going to provide me with a tracking number in the next few days and that is the last time I heard from them. Since then I wrote them numerous emails, tried contacting them in their Live Chat, but they do not answer me, they ignore my messages.

I tried to contact them as a new customer with different names and they responded, but as soon as I revealed myself and asked for information about my order, they stopped replying. I tried calling them on the phone, but it seems that they have posted a fake number because it couldn't reach anyone. I searched around the web for their company, but couldn't find anything about them, they claim to be a part of a holding company, but sadly that is not true, there are no such companies in Norway, where they claim to be located.

All of this was very stressful to me, but I still haven't given up on demanding for my money. If anyone can help with advice what to do that would be great! I hope this thread is seen by people who were planning on purchasing from them and help them make the right decision. Be smart guys and don't make my mistakes or else you will lose your money.

UPDATE (17/11/2020)

I noticed that they have now deleted my account from their website, like it didn't ever exist, unfortunately for them, I took the screenshots before that happened and still have the emails they sent me and have documented all of that.

I hope this information helps other people not lose their money like me and I am sure everyone can see whether I am a client or competitor. As you can read below that they are only denying all the claims, but don't back it up with any evidence, they try to hide their tracks as much as possible and put the blame on the clients that were scammed by them. This is unheard of. Don't forget that they have full control over their system and can fabricate anything.

I noticed that they now have real verified reviews from customers on their TrustPilot.com profile and not only the ones which they write themselves like before, it seems that they have scammed a lot of people. You can check that here https://www.trustpilot.com/review/arcticminers.com?languages=en&stars=1

IF YOU BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE SCAMMERS IMMEDIATELY CONTACT THE AUTHORITIES FOR ASSISTANCE AND FILE A REPORT AGAINST THEM. ALSO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE AND IN TRUSTPILOT SO WE CAN PREVENT OTHER PEOPLE FROM LOSING THEIR MONEY AND STOP THEIR SCAM OPERATION.

Better to follow the instruction on how to create an appropriate scam accusation. Follow here and change it if possible: Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0)

After reading your history I have to say it's really a matter of sorrow, And you have tried enough to contact them to solve this issue. But when they can start to know that you are the person who scammed by them they stopped their response. That means they will not give back the money even the product. So I don't sure any person could help you from here.

Btw thanks for sharing your position to make aware of us. This will help to think twice before purchasing any product online.

Hey all,

This is a fake review.

We have been in business for years but just created this website 1 month ago and went live taking orders 2 weeks ago. So far there has not been any orders on 2 Antminers S19 Pro from anyone.

I am assuming its a competitor that is not happy about we taking a piece of the market.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me or get in touch on ceo@arcticminers.com.

regards
Sven
CEO - ArcticMiners.com

That seems very strange, you have been in the market for years with no website, you claim to have thousands of customers, but provide no proof of that at all. You claim to have multiple data centers where you run hosted machines, but don't have any pictures of them, actually there are no real photos of anything on your website. Most of all, if you have been in business for so long involved in blockchain for 6 years and mining for  4 years, you would surely have a bitcointalk account and not create a new one solely for the purpose of cleaning your name.
You don't have a real company, I checked the VAT number you have posted on your website an this company came up :

Organization number:
920 430 597

Name / company name:
NORDICPRODUCT AS

Organizational form:
Limited Liability Company

Business address:
Trøbakkveien 14
7530 MERÅKER

Internet address:
nordicproduct.com

CEO / Managing Director:

Geir Mjøsund

Statutory purpose:

Consulting services in information technology and other products / services that naturally belong with this, including participating in other companies with similar activities, and buying and selling shares or otherwise becoming interested in other companies.

Totally different company, which has nothing to do with arcticminers, arctic holding and all your made up fantasy names. Your website is clearly a scam, I mean cmoon "Free shipping on cryptocurrencies payments" , it can not be more obvious, coupled with your prices and everything listed above, I think it is pretty clear what's going on here. Although the author of this thread must have overlooked these facts.

NordicProduct AS is the holding company and the financial company behind ArcticMiners and ArcticHoldings. Its the company that handles the Bank Transfers, so we have their VAT number on the website.
We have updated the details on our website to be more transparent, as we are still in the start of this B2C venture.
Sounds even more suspicious. So you had to wait for someone to point it out before you updated such information on your website?
It seems to us that you are not confident about the initial information and might be trying to hide something.

I think the moderators must lock this thread now. I guess the OP seems to just trolling or falsely accusing some platform yet fails to provide valid evidences with the accusation. Meanwhile, I've seen no issues with the Arctic miner's platform or any flaws that it might be shady. They are even transparent with their physical office and phone number. Hence, I don't see any legitimate accusation in here.

There are many online websites out there for hardware for mining, I don't think people would even believe and be scammed to them as they were knowledgeable in mining and so do fraudulent services.

First of all, here is the proof of order: https://ibb.co/hcgvCVn (https://ibb.co/hcgvCVn) I have blacked out my address for obvious reasons.

I didn't think there are paid reviews even here. How come all others see the "flaws" and you don't. How do you know that address is theirs? How is that transparent? That address doesn't even show up on Google Maps.
I think you are the one trolling here or else it's clear that you were sponsored by them to write this nonsense.

@OP aside from additional screenshots I think you also need to provide other evidence such as the tx id of the transaction to them which I think would be convincing some people here. Right now arcticminers totally deny all of your accusations and this would totally turn around if you give additional evidence with what happened. Aside from the tx id I think the conversation of screenshots will be good, also @articminers aside from totally denying and claiming he is doing a fake review why don't you just solve it by asking his username to see if his transaction is even real.

I noticed that they have now deleted my account from their website, like it didn't ever exist, unfortunately for them, I took the screenshots before that happened and still have the emails they sent me and have documented all of that.

@Breakthrough

You use a lot of time in creating these fake screenshots, nice try.
Again, we did not take orders when you claim your order was made, that was mistake 1 from you.
This transaction is not to our BTC wallet, so I dont know where you have sent the money.
We have your IP now after creating fake accounts and orders, so we are the one that will take this legal.
Good attempt on Trustpilot too, we know for 100% its you and your team who created them too.

Where is the proof that Op gave a fake screenshot? If you are not really involved, then prove with sufficient information that you are not involved in such activities. Because you can't justify yourself with such a reply.

Because without proof no one will understand who actually wants to play the game here. One must have bad intentions here. So I hope you will prove op wrong with all the evidence.

Proof, we have already given proof.
Domain was bought 1 day before the order: https://ibb.co/qsQRKL8

There is no way we could have taken an order so early, and we didn't take before the 7th of October.  Our order numbers when shop was set up started at 5800 (Its how woocommerce work: https://www.tychesoftwares.com/how-woocommerce-order-numbers-are-generated/)

What kind of proof is that? You are just claiming things without backing them up by anything! If it is true that you didn't take orders then why did you delete my account? To hide the evidence ? But I have the screenshots of my account and the emails you have sent me confirming my order. You have the control to change everything on your website before you write these replies, how convenient for you, but my evidence all adds up, I don't think anyone believes you anymore.

Here is a quote from the link you gave on woocommerce "You can even add a custom template for the order number consisting of a prefix, suffix, date, number etc. You can also add a suffix to each order, consisting of tags or dates." so I don't see how this is relevant.

You act like a typical scammer, there is just too much that gives you away. People on this forum aren't stupid and they can see through your lies, the have had experience with many of your "colleagues" .

I don't know what "team" you are talking about, I am a customer of your website, which I have proven and DEMAND FOR MY MONEY BACK. No matter how much you repeat that I am a competitor and whatnot, the truth is that you took my money for a product you didn't deliver, which is a crime, no matter that i paid in Bitcoin.

I have the report ready with all the documents to prove my words and I will soon send it to the police and other institutions if you don't refund me.

I find it quite interesting that it seems to be the same people posting here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5279533.0

I am not pretending to make any assumptions, but it looks quite similar how they post and try to bring a business bad reputation.

My experience with both miners.eu and arcticminers are good. In the past I have used miners.eu with good experience and now I have used arcticminers also with good experience. I have the miners I did order already delivered, so for me the original poster seems like a bit of a troll.

Also weird you bought from them on the same day they created their domain. Looks like a troll post to me.

So who of the competitors are you?

So your business address is a house in the middle of nowhere?

Let's start with the things you claim:

Quote
Arctic Holding was found in 2008. We created ArcticMiners in 2018 and we created arcticminers.com in 2020

If your company was created in 2008, which you have shown no proof yet, for sure it wasn't anything blockchain-related.
Secondly, there is no proof of ArcticMiners being founded in 2018.

What was founded in 2018 is Nordic Products:
https://no.kompass.com/c/nordicproduct-as/no163701/
And the VAT number on arcticminers is actually the vat number of this company...which is registered for:

Consultants for IT systems
 Software consultants

We have been involved in Blockchain for over 6 years and in mining for over 4 years
Proofs?
Quote
Our Headquarters are in Meraker, Norway but we also have storage in China, Germany and the US to be able to serve our customers in the best way
Proofs?

There is something really fishy around here
And the most annoying of all is that because of a mistype I stumbled upon this:

Lol, so two accounts make exactly two random posts in 6 minutes, wait for an hour and then go straight to defend the seller one hour after creation.
What are the chances?

Finally someone with common sense. I wish i was more suspicious at first and did this kind of research, that would have prevented all of this, but I chose to trust them and it didn't end well.

As for the fake accounts defending them, there is no use in replying, it's obvious.

All that arctic miners do is claim things they can't prove and that is now clear to everyone. I hope that this thread will at least help people in their decision. It is clear that they will not refund me, so I must take the matter to court.
