They all have very similar name, just changing or adding a word and that's it. I guess that's scammers goal, to make them so similar to each other that people can't recognize anymore which one is legit and which one is scam. Even though there is no much difference between those.
Can't wait for all this hype to pass, but I'm afraid consequences will be even worse than that ICO hype back in 2017/2018. I don't think this situation will last for long and investors will be able to realize after having bad experiences like fake ICO projects. Maybe this is why scammers are in hurry to launch their project and this one is a clear example of that. At least be original or something. At least be original or something. The whole point of their project and other projects that use similar names to other projects is to attract those people that missed them and did not invest in them at early days, so by using the similar name in a way they're trying to tell them we are going to be the next one so hurry up and give us your money so we can sell it all at the top, so technically it wouldn't make sense for them to use a different name, in a way you could say they are looking for those DeFi and Uniswap gamblers to invest in their token in the hopes of getting a huge return in a short period of time. It won't be as long as DeFi creates hype there will definitely end up with a lot of regret from investors.I follow several groups on telegram I see every day find many DeFi projects that are not very clear the concept anomime team is not confused, is this really them or the scamer is just plagiarizing the same project? I'm sure investors now don't think about this and any risk they just follow the trend and hype that DeFi tokens do, therefore DeFi projects will definitely continue to emerge. damn I hope this ends soon. :-[ Title: Re: [DeFi SCAM] Yearn Finance Decentralized - plagiarized whitepaper Post by: bullrun2024bro on October 24, 2020, 11:16:52 PM I'm honestly getting lost in all those yfi/yearn scam variations. I guess that's scammers goal, to make them so similar to each other that people can't recognize anymore which one is legit and which one is scam. Even though there is no much difference between those. That's exactly why I created the DeFi scam list (DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread - LAST UPDATE: 19/10/2020 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276012.0)). Even if we're only able to detect a fraction of all DeFi scams out there, inexperienced users will get an idea how many DeFi scams and fakes are out there. And even if a certain project isn't a classic scam people will be more careful before investing their BTC. If we want to protect inexperienced users from the dangers of the DeFi space, it's all about information. Only if people know that at least 98% of all projects in that space are classic scams, HYIPs or ponzis they won't fall for everything bullsh*t these scam developers are promising to them. Can't wait for all this hype to pass, but I'm afraid consequences will be even worse than that ICO hype back in 2017/2018. I wouldn't be so sure about this. Right now, the DeFi space is still comparably small, but you are right: If the hype continues inevitably more people will fall for new DeFi scams. |
