Title: Question about being banned...
Post by: beardedqueen on October 25, 2020, 01:44:55 PM
Why is it that I get banned when trying to sell legitimate piracy tools? Speaking of course my NF, Hulu, HBO, etc, WEB-DL tools. I offer escrow for buyer protection. I provide video proof that the tools are working. I don't know what more I can do. And I don't believe it violates any rules... Any info would be appreciated.

This should be moved to META forum.  Use the link on the bottom of your page.

Other than that "Legitimate pirate tools" seems to be a contradiction in terms like "true fiction" :D  Or maybe it's because you made lots of accounts many of which were banned which is ban evasion.  Once ONE account is banned for whatever reason the rest get banned for BAN EVASION which IS a rule.   Example: Account NONCANONICAL was banned months ago (along with probably dozens of others) which is same account as your TEEGE account which just got banned so you get banned on that one too and any others that will follow.  Or maybe the mods just don't like "legitimate pirate tools" ?   ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

Edited to add the following:

Here are 2 of likely many (plus obviously this current new one) that are yours:
noncanonical https://archive.vn/Wfxm7  (Banned a few months ago)
teege  https://archive.vn/62rtH (https://archive.vn/62rtH)  (recently banned)

The connections between those 2 and your current account and the screen print are obvious.

It seems you were banned for ban evasion.

Hope you got your answer. I think you know better how many accounts you have and which account has been banned previously. So according to the forum rules although forums allow you to create multiple accounts, if one of your accounts got ban then all of your accounts will be banned. Because forum banning you (the person), not only your account. Selling products on the forum wouldn't be a reason for a ban either it's legit or a scam. But if you break forum rules and sell a few products which haven't been allowed by the forum then you might get a ban. For example rules #17,

17. Trading of goods that are illegal in the seller's or buyer's country is forbidden. [2]

Creating Alt accounts and using it to make posts other than appealing a ban is seen as ban evasion which earns the account an automatic ban without to have committed any other offense except to evade ban. That being said, you are generally banned for breaking forum rules and nothing else. Users on forum are virtually anonymous to everyone and most of all, the forum was made for Bitcoin discussions and exchange of ideas though, it permits for users to conduct business and render services within the contest of the law to earn a few BTC.

When your products seems to be one that to a large extent isn't suitable for that board or it puts users at risk because, our anonymity is one of our prised possession and also, the possibility of getting users scam, the post might be deleted and should you persist, you get banned.
You should probably make a suggest your intended to advertise product for a sale or kind of service if it's acceptable for sales advert before ushering to offer those products or services to avoid breaking the rules which you aren't sure off.

But these aren't illegal products... AnyStream sells comparable software legally. Not to mention there is PLENTY of other illegal activity going on in this forum. It doesn't make any sense. As for the ban evasion. I initially made "teege," but then made "noncanonical" for privacy reasons. The latter was banned, so I went bet to the original. There was no intentional ban evasion here. You can look up the ages of those accounts and verify that I'm being honest. As for the appeals process, it is very discouraging. The notice essentially tells you that they won't even consider what you have to say.

The rules are still pretty straight forward and apply in this situation, regardless of which of your accounts were registered first a ban on one would affect any other ones.

As for the appeals process, it is very discouraging. The notice essentially tells you that they won't even consider what you have to say.
If you feel you were undeserving of a ban, then go for it (an appeal). I've seen a few cases reversed and the cases would actually be considered, so there's a chance although not a very good one.
It all depends on what you were actually banned for, I cannot readily get much information now as your nonaconical (https://bpip.org/Profile?id=2828082)  account was nuked.

You should also note that any post made outside your appeal thread in Meta would count as ban evasion. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5284377.msg55451483#msg55451483)

I don't know why your first account was banned but this account was banned due to ban evasion. Ban evasion rule. You can check the rule. It looks this ban is not your first ban evasion.
25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]

What do legitimate piracy tools do exactly? Looking at one of your threads from your teege account, you were offering tools to download videos from Netflix, HBOMax, etc. Is this a service that the providers Netflix and HBOMax allow individuals to use and share? If not, it is against rule #17 that Coolcryptovator quoted above. If that is the case, you aren't allowed to sell due to ban evasion and sharing illegitimate/hacking/pirate tools.
