There's nothing wrong with your Merit, it works exactly as intended. If you post crap (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2705621;sa=showPosts), you're not supposed to rank up. See:
I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.

hello friends
This is a dead giveaway for your post quality.

You could start by reading the forum rules (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0);
Quote
25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.
hahaha my 1st account was banned so make a new account ...

In this forum, nothing goes by force, but only according to your effort and work.
The more you invest, the more you get.
You will not gain respect and reputation this way, as you started now.

I don't want to judge you because there are a lot of members just spammer in bounties and sooner and later they realize it's not productive at all. Some of them change their life and start to create a good and helpful thread so that's the reason why they've got merit. If you want you could do that too. But there is a thread you replied to and archive by Upgrade00 by that you need to deal with your issue is against the rules which is the Ban evasion.

Your best bet to earn merit is to make quality posts where you understand the topic at hand, I would suggest sticking to boards that are in your own language because most if not all people here do not merit poor grammar/spelling/google translate

It look like that your only aim is to collect bounty from this forum and i am afraid you will not be able to get merits if you only post bounty reports and few other spam posts.
Also i see above that your first account was banned and  you have no right to make more accounts and continue on the forum. Unfortunately the journey for you on this forum has ended.

These people who come here and ask that question don't realize that the only thing they're going to get is being ignored or finding out that they've been banned in the past and therefore they get banned again, as happened with the last post I saw of that style.

Someone who asks that doesn't deserve merit. Period. The one who ends up getting merit, either doesn't care, or seeks for himself how to get it.

It seems you never even read the rules of this forum, how can you get merit if you post like that.  Start reading the rules of this forum, then start committing to making quality posts, don't spam and make shit posts in this forum, take your time to make a decent contribution to this forum so that you also deserve to get merit from fellow friends in this forum. Don't ever think to get merit by doing spam because it's useless bro. There's is no free merit for you bro, merit just for them who has given many efforts to contribute in here.

This topic seems to be odd and rather puts you in a spot for merit farming (Creating posts for the sole purpose of earning merits) and I'm not sure that would do you any good. Your usually merited when you make quality contributions perhaps through posts and comments often or maybe you come up with some codings or a platform that settled or improves the forum so long as it agrees or is within the context of the Bitcointalkforum rules.

You'll get appreciated by users and meriting isn't far from you but, you really shouldn't be much concerned of merits. I'm sure you need them but, thinking of it so much won't make you get the best of ideas out of you while creating a supposed beautiful piece. You've got to fine a way to align with the concept of the forum, feel the forum and surely, the merit would come as a bonus on your ability to fit in.

Forget about the word merit and try to use the forum for your self benefits (benefits people have on a forum). That’s the easiest way you can increase your merit. People these days are here focusing more into merits than using the forum for its purpose and these people have hard times to get the merits.

If you are confused 10x fold, I might be 100x more confused than you.
Why not.
You: Date Registered: October 30, 2019, is it possible that you don't know all that while you create topics in Meta.

hello friends
This is a dead giveaway for your post quality.
Yep, hate to say it but yep yep yep.  Another dead giveaway for me is that I can't see any of OP's posts other than the three he's made in Meta that have to do with ranking up and/or earning merits.  That tells me he's here solely to earn money and probably got referred here by a friend or coworker, and he's probably got no real interest in crypto.

OP, you need to do a hell of a lot more reading--and I suggest reading some older threads in Meta dealing with merits, because this question has been asked dozens of times since the merit system rolled out.  And the bottom line is that unless your posts stand out from the rest of the shitposts that infest certain sections of bitcointalk, there's no way you're going to earn any merits.  There's nothing magic to it, either, and it all comes down to post quality and if your post gets noticed by someone with merits to distribute.

Good luck, but it's not going to be an easy task ranking up.

You would have learned already when you created this another Meta topic about rank (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5280068.0) of yours just recently, I believe that it still fall on the merit category as merit defines as well to ranking. The thing is you like spoon-feeding and if you wouldn't get rid of this bad habit you'll never get any merits nor improve your rank position.

OP, you need to do a hell of a lot more reading--and I suggest reading some older threads in Meta dealing with merits, because this question has been asked dozens of times since the merit system rolled out.
He's already been spoon feed from the topic I've just link above and he even got a reply (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5280068.msg55318443#msg55318443) from one user @Jeremy Franklinto get him started  but that wasn't I guess enough of him. He's been advised (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5280068.msg55318232#msg55318232) by @Jet Cash too to use the search feature but have he ever done that? We never know but I think it's a starting point for him too yet the user probably ignore such.

If you want to rank up try improving your post quality, where you post, get rid the bad habit of spoon-feeding, get rid of those bounty posts, try to be helpful, and try things on your own way how you will get out on the newbie maze. It's just level 1 how about at level 500? Not that easy but there's no other way rather you have to  keep on trying.

You read a lot about crypto to increase knowledge about crypto and you post useful to share information with others and people who read get new knowledge and you can share merit but that is not a guarantee to be able to merit, but at least you have tried. do not buy merit your account will probably be blocked.

To be fair, most of your post are bounty reports and comments that won't make anyone interested (even your first post was for bounty hunting), that makes me think that this is an alt and this thread was made just to increase your post count.

Well if you're really new here, my tip for you is to at least try to post something that would make people find it helpful or interesting. That way, you'll attract merits on your account. At the very least, try to improve your grammar.

You are right about reading, it is a good step for you to achieve knowledge. Just keep in mind that knowledge is more important than merits. Merits are given as a prize for your high quality post and we should not beg for it. Patience is also needed because it will take a long time to earn merits and ranking up depends upon to the ranks that you want to achieve.

Merits are designed for spammers, if you have read the old rules and know a little about the forum history then you'll know why it was implemented back then. If you got stuff to do here in the forum, like promoting a project or services then you might need some merits to gain confidence from users, or at least a copper membership. But if you're just lurking here, reading and acquiring some knowledge, I don't know if merits will do much from your intention.

Maybe a yes and maybe a no. But in opinion, I don't think this is an alt account. Why on earth someone will be willing to spend few sats, create some garbage thread and post from it by using his main account? Do you think it was a practical way of increasing post count? And besides, that was an exhausting task just for a single post because overdoing the same set up might trace you back lol ;D. It is very easy to find such posts everywhere so why would you still do it intentionally? So for me OP is just a mere bounty hunter.

@mianvicky1
If your account was restricted because of evil points (you mentioned a proxy ban), why did you delete the post that Upgrade00 quoted where you state that your first account was banned? He already achieved it.
Archive (https://archive.is/XyvEa)

After a quick look at the addresses and social media profiles he uses here, he doesn't seem to share those accounts with other users. Maybe he is telling the truth and is not a ban evader. Nevertheless, I have no idea what posts of his he considers merit worthy.

@mianvicky1
Try to take part in some civilized discussions, show some interest and knowledge in crypto.

@mianvicky1,
1st things 1st. Buy copper membership if you are literally interested in adding links in your posts and signatures under your posts. Though, I understand why are you trying to learn about "gaining merits" and that's just because you're solely interested in signature campaigns, if not, just simply buy a copper membership and you're fine as it allows you to get your evil points settled for your blacklisted IP and you can use the forum, though you're not entitled to join any signature campaigns ever.

Now, if you have been on this forum before and banned, then you're currently evading it and you're not going to be spared.

And one more thing, if you're still interested in knowing how to earn merits here, you could have done a smart thing by just Googling keywords like "Earn Merits on Bitcointalk", "Earn Merits Bitcointalk", "How to Earn merits on Bitcointalk", and you will get enough threads explaining the same thing again and again, so I et al are not interested in explaining it to you here again

Check the beginners section. There is some good stuff in there about everything you need to know as a newbie, including the merit system. If you do your reading there's no reason why you can't earn some merit once you improve your posts.

First you need to have enough knowledge about Bitcoin. You have to post well to improve Bitcoin. Before replying to a post, you have to have a good idea about it. No wrong opinion can be given. Must give correct opinion at all times. Then maybe your account can earn merit.
