Post by: Baofeng on October 31, 2020, 11:10:43 AM
There seems to be a 2 fake MEW on Google store,

Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.proshop.alt22dr
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.app.jaseerf2

Both of them to steal your secret keys and will do a POST command to:

Code:
elexitrum.xyz
mew1.jaseerf.xyz

When we thought that Google is really doing some cleaning in their own backyards, comes a new wave of MEW attack. The best thing for us crypto users is to really be careful and not just download anything on their 'dangerous' store because it's know becoming a breeding ground for criminals, scammers, spy apps, ad malware etc.

Alternatively, it's easier reporting through the Google Play Store. Takes about 10 seconds without having to add on extra information

All you do is select the suspicious app and click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of google app store, select flag as inappropriate and then select copycat or impersonation and submit, that's all.

They have tens of thousands of apps to vet daily, so it takes time to detect unless someone actively reports them.

Recently 21 apps were removed from the Play Store.
