Republicans sound alarm on Antrim County election results

Results in Antrim County reset back to 0% midday Wednesday. Previously, returns showed the county voting roughly 62% in favor of Joe Biden.

There may be a problem with Antrim County’s ballots. According to unofficial results posted by the county clerk, Democrats got the majority of votes there.

As of 9:30 this morning, Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden had more than 7,700 votes in the county, 3,000 more than President Donald Trump. Democratic candidates Gary Peters and Dana Ferguson also outperformed their Republican opponents in the county.

That has Triston Cole (R-Mancelona), who lives and represents Antrim County in the Michigan State House, confused.

“There is no way that we flipped from 62% Trump in 2016 to upside-down this time around,” he said.

Cole specifically cited the results at his polling place: Chestonia Township. Antrim County’s election results show Representative Jack Bergman (R-Watersmeet) only got 2 votes.

“I can guarantee that there were 6 [Bergman votes] in my immediate family alone,” he said.

Cole says GOP officials have been talking all morning about the county’s results. He says legal action may be taken, but much is still uncertain.

results on electronic tapes and a computer card were accurate but it appeared that some of the results were somehow scrambled after the cards were transported in sealed bags from township precincts to county offices and downloaded onto a computer.

I just noticed this county missing on cnn and looked it up..
Turns out they are trying to blame the voting machines for giving Biden a ton of fake votes there..
Like wtf..

How are we supposed to trust these vote counting machines?

If their is a case for election fraud.. HERE IT IS!!

I find it pretty funny that when Democrats lose, they just shrug and get over it - like a grown and mature adult would do. When Republicans lose, they scream and throw a tantrum like Dear Leader trump, because they have an inbuilt tendency to be a sore loser. It was always widely known that postal votes would favor the Democrats, because as rationale human beings (who actually have respect for science & don't suggest things like injecting bleach as a cure for Covid) they were prepared and voted in advance when given the opportunity. Mail in votes are a perfectly rational system of voting given we are in the middle of a pandemic. All the conspiracy theories are really old and boring now - do you not have anything else interesting going on in life? You really should have more respect for the democractic system of voting and freedom that every American should want, eddie.

It isn't only one county, and it isn't only Michigan.

It's a deep red county with deep rep county officials. There is no Democract conspiracy. And the likely cause of the fuckup is human error - that's quite literally what the bolded line says in the OP.

This is a serious clear cut case of votes being misreported somewhere between the ballot and official report..
If you had any respect for the democratic system then you would want to figure out what happened and why.. Methinks..
I'll be finding out what is going on here.. And not just from some media outlet..


So either somebody made some ridiculous typos (in more than one race), or their is something really fishy going on in the computer software..

No matter what the cause, it's a total embarrassment at the very least..

... because some punch cards or whatever got "scrambled", as the article in your OP explains. It's very unlikely that software just incorrectly counted the votes or that this would be a widespread issue. But if you want to waste your tax dollars on a recount - I won't stand in your way :)

As I recall it was <30min to break those machines, they are basically crap as far as security.

The Electoral College is what counts. Popular votes have nothing to do with it, except that they may influence delegates to the College. However, the College delegates don't have to vote according to the popular vote.

Consider doing searches on the Electoral College, and how delegates thereto can vote almost any way they want. All this rumble over the popular vote means nothing.

Ummm, where have you been over the last 4 years? Clinton is still acting as if she won in 2016. It is a mainstream Democrat belief that Trump colluded with Russia, despite there being zero evidence to support this.

It appears there are likely some corrupt poll workers in MI. There were a number of vote dumps in which Biden received 100% of the vote. There is obviously something not right about that.

Wasn't this a mistake that was corrected though? AP had reported like 150k votes for Biden that was a typo that ended up being corrected to 1500 or 15000, can't remember.

I don't think it's a good idea to go down the road of litigation because the fact is Trump lost this. We already know what the end result is. Trump litigates, it goes absolutely no where in the courts, liberals gloat and then get to make the narrative that Trump won't concede, which is what their story was from the beginning.

This election being this close and for Trump to lose is just incredible and almost infuriating considering the sort of shit he was against. It is what it is.

One point is great... if Biden wins.

If Biden wins, corruption has excelled. If corruption excels this much, it will formally spread around the world. Then, Jesus will return to correct this wide spread of corruption. There will be rising from the dead, and God's people will be off to the New Universe... while this universe is destroyed along with its corruption.

Biden getting just enough mail in ballots to barely squeak by in every state that he needed. Not suspicious at all...

Trump is a fighter, and each of these states will be taken to court and forced to prove up all their mysterious, middle of the night vote dumps.

To be fair, everyone was warned about this several months ago, should have been expecting exactly this, and here it is.

This mail ballot was a stupid (or even idiotic) idea. Even Indonesia's election has to be done on the spot (direct, in-person).
It's ironic when a 3rd world country did elections better than the "grandfather of the democracy."

First, Biden will be declared a winner by MSM et al., and then they will frame Trump's effort like a sore loser.
This is going to be chaos, guys, as so many people angry with this situation.

people with disabilities are being told their vote doesnt count
the poor that cannot afford transport are being told their vote doesnt count

Polling could be arranged in military facilities, hospital, etc. doesn't matter as long as there are witnesses from both sides and officials, to verify identity, etc.
It's common sense.

With mass mail ballots, there will be dead men votes, ballot harvesting frauds, stolen ballots, etc.
It's also common sense.

Of course, not everyone can go to the nearest polling place for various reasons, and the government officials + volunteers/witnesses cannot deploy enough resources to take care of them all. Just like we cannot help all poor people and those who are disadvantaged because of limited resources.

The funny thing is that the country with "social justice" as its foundational principle requires voters to vote directly at the polling place.
