Title: [WTB] AsicMiner Cube main board ~~SOLVED~~
Post by: juggalodarkclow on March 24, 2014, 11:26:31 AM
I have a cube that keeps randomly shutting off. Sometimes it will run for 2 days, sometimes for 30 minutes. I've switched out the fan, I've tightened all the screws, I've reseated all the boards, and it runs on a Corsair TX650 so I know it's not a power issue. The only thing I can think of is maybe the main board is having an issue and I was hoping somebody would have one laying around somewhere.

Let me know what you're asking with shipping (I'm in CONUS). Thanks.

UPDATE: I tried the hack that was shared and it worked so I no longer need a main board. Thanks!

Have you thought about using the video card oven trick on it?

Did you test your the TX650? There is a chance the PSU is failing intermittently or possibly just parts of the PSU.

Personally, I would test that PSU on another system/unit and also test the Cube with another PSU, preferably a verified working unit.

I didn't think of that but I'll definitely consider it.

The PSU is now powering an Antminer S1 without issue so no problem there.

Have you tried shorting the power relay pins on the bottom? I'll see if I can find the post.

Thanks for the link, I never saw that post. I came across a different one that showed shorting 2 different spots which didn't help me at all. I'll try that trick tomorrow and see how it goes.

EDIT: I tried that and it didn't help, no power or status light but my fan was spinning fine.

EDIT #2: It didn't work because I forgot to put my fuse back in  :-\ but now it's hashing along just fine
