The usual price behaviour of ETH and most of the Altcoins is to pump right after BTC pumps, With or without good updates on ETH. The good progress on ETH V2.0 might give a mild boost on ETH its not got gonna give a huge impact just like you are describing. All eyes of traders are on BTC right now and once over, the momentum will be back again on DeFi. A successful release of V2.0 might give a huge impact on the price but this kind of update is not that much hype nowadays.

We shoult wait until all of updates that will come in ethereum 2.0 will have done. I can't even believe it will happen when there's not a good news about ethereum that can attract people to pump it.
This is the time for ethereum to get a gradual increase to follow the implementation of ethereum 2.0 but it will not be so big as already expected before.
1k looks so difficult to be achieved at the end of this year.

$ 1k is too high compared to the money being poured into the market at this time. But I have to agree with you that Ethereum is about to have a price breakout in the coming days.

in my predictions bitcoin price will touch more than $18.000 but less than $18.500 in this year, and maybe ethereum will follow the movements on bitcoin
but will not touch $1k as written in the first post, maybe $750 is the target of ethereum price in this year

When viewed from the Bitcoin price and Bitcoin dominance, I believe the Ethereum price could reach $ 1000 in the next few weeks,
maybe the end of the year or maybe next year, provided that the dominance of bitcoin drops and the price of Bitcoin is stable,

The answer could be yes it's for ethereum or it's not as ethereum 2.0 is still pure a speculative update. Ethereum needs to bring something like what has done by bitcoin.
There must be a strong reason for ethereum to be pumped so hard like bitcoin. Massive adoption by the companies and ethereum must also be used as store of value too.

Bitcoin's bullishness threw the flags down and started a race among the alts for which one will be highest in regards to gaining profits to its holders. This happened in 2017 and is happening again now, and Eth still looks standing and waiting to react on the market sentiments till 2.0 rolls out as Vitalik sent his fortune to 2.0 for staking and we might hear some good news soon.

The bullish flag on ETH chart indicates the continuation of uptrend on ETH but I can't see the same trading patterns on altcoin charts. The situation is totally different for the altcoins and ETH can push the price of the total marketcap of altcoin markets.

Indeed it is a long time seeing ethereum growing and price increase so hopefully this year ends we can see eth to touch above $500. With this eth upgrade a lot of hopes so good to have and those who hold ethereum until this time.

It has an amazing run but $1k for this year won't come. It's what I can see for Ethereum. We don't have ample time to see Ethereum going back to $1k.

Ethereum 2017 is totally different from the current ethereum. This time it was growing based on its fundamental like what will be the update that will come for ethereum or big news. It's not so difficult to reach $500 with the help of ethereum 2.0 launch that will occur 1st December.

It is highly possible and other than that i have a strong feeling that btc and eth will grow almost together this time around and market will be surging with volume and market cap will explode. We can expect new all time highs for btc and eth most probably if the market cap breaks 1 trillion mark by the end of the year.

Only BTC shows a stable increase in price now. Once ETH done in ETH 2.0 we will be able to see the effect of it in the market. Many were waiting for the update as there are previous issues eth experiencing when there's bulk transfer or transaction. ETH will soon to have it's time again like BTC is showing now.

 If ethereum can keep this up, that means we are going to end up seeing a lot of difference between ethereum and all other coins, it is already second biggest coin in the market and that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon but with both 2.0 and defi stuff thats like a whole another level of dominance. I know many said this before and I found it funny when people said it but right now looking at whats going on, I feel like it is not "impossible" if you ask me. I can't believe how people are sleeping on ethereum, for me it is the coin I love the most by far, I still have biggest portion of my portfolio on bitcoin because I am in long position for it and do not want to change anything about it, but when I put new money into my portfolio I always do it on ethereum nowadays.

Between this eth 2.0 development news and all the defi and dex and many things ethereum could be used for, there is really no reason to have any other coin for long term investment. You may think that coins could have value just because we put it, but when people "use" the coin for a reason that is the real reason why prices go up. Which is why I think between all the staking causing hodlers and also utility reasons for buying more, ETH will be insanely more expensive soon.

I see it most likely to hit that price, but the sign is too clear, this is a real uptrend, besides hot news from the market affecting the price, ETH will have you as well next year. I am looking forward to it, ETH is already many of the things that we have in this market, the ETH 2.0 upgrade will help it overcome the existing limitations of the network.

$1K is a bit too optimistic tbh, if we really hits $1k that means we hit more than double the current value and it's actually insane considering that ethereum price is already high enough and the circulating coin is too much already. maybe it's gonna be around $650 but I don't complaint if it do hits $1K however, the acceptance of many cryptos as of now by large corporation kinda overshadow eth update.

Yes. I think like you, the market is rising and almost anyone can see a new bull run coming into this market. But 2020 is coming to an end at current prices $ 440, so it is difficult for ETH to get $ 1000 between now and the end of the year. Everything is coming to ETH 2.0 is well awaited, and maybe once everything is in operation then I believe the value of ETH will not be lower than $ 1000, the time to pass the price will be around months 7 - 8/2021.

I also noticed this with some hot news from the money pouring of large investment funds in the US, respectively MicroStrategy, Square, ...

Bitcoin is -22% from previous ATH while Ethereum is -70% from its ATH. In the path of bull market Ethereum also need the recovery, In a speculative market that has enough development at the moment, doubled the transaction, adding up more blockchain projects and also engaging its Defi. It all depends on the value of bitcoin. If bitcoin can stabilize the price above $ 15000 then the possibility that ethereum will reach a price of $ 1000 is not too difficult what else now pushed by v2.0

 This doesn't really feel like a great moment for me because I really want to have 32 ETH in order to start my staking as soon as possible but I do not even have 1 :D Hopefully my goal in life would be to have one, but reality says otherwise. Some people talk about how ETH is awesome and how people should have as much ETH they possible can, but some of us here try to get to airdrops and bounties and other stuff just so we could potentially make some returns and invest that into ETH. I personally didn't cared about airdrops until recently but I realized for someone who doesn't have a decent amount of money, it is hardly improbably to get rich, but if you get involved very early on to each project you could potentially get lucky with one of them. It is not because I do not like ETH that we don't get it, it is because we can't afford to get into ETH right now without required capital.

I can feel what you are trying to say here. But we can't push thru ourselves if we can't really afford to participate in the staking of eth. There are other opportunities that you can afford to. But yes 32 eth is quite large some of money for just ordinary crypto users.

What I think is happening is the fact that ethereum could very well beat inflation with a decent income at the same time and people are just too happy to not miss that out. So, let's say ETH starts the year at 500 dollars in 2021 right? And you can stake about 5.26 or so yearly with it? Well if you do get 640 ethereum for example, it will cost you about 320k or so when you buy (plus some fees obviously).

By the end of 2021 you would have 15k profit from the staking that you have made, which puts you in plus, but also many believe that it would make AT LEAST 10% profit by the end of the year by increasing ETH price as well, so if it becomes 550 dollars (could become much bigger) it would also have 32k profit just from that and beat inflation, and next year your 5.26% return would become even bigger. So, it is a no brainer for many of us.

The market behavior of the ETH pairs don't look bullish, a single "hammer candle" can kill the temptation of buyers sooner or later. ADA and other alternative coins will be a strict competitor but I doubt replacing ETH will be possible for the next years. Trading the current market is not a good idea from a timing perspective, the price will make AbCd pattern which can create a few opportunities for investors who were late the first session of the bull party.

For most part it was true that no one believed that it would reach the all time high but then the explosion of DeFi changed the fortunes for the better for the investors and with the way it was performing after that and the way in which the market stared rising now it is possible we might see that and with the rolling out of ETH 2.0 it will gather more momentum.

The update is not finish yet so I don't think ETH will touch that price before the year end and maybe a price of $500 - $700 which is a good price to end the year as well. ETH is a great platform and soon will touch that price especially if the ETH 2.0 was done already, this is the top altcoin so expect a more good news to come with ETH, buy more now while it is still cheap.

About that and have not we seen a bunch of new platforms introduced themselves as ethereum killers in 2018? What is happening right now is more than enough to prove that if it's an impossible thing to replace ethereum. The major coin will always dominate the market. I remember tron has placed at top 10 CMC and it was spreading so many shillers to say tron will replace ethereum but it's not happening right now.
Remember ethereum is still issuing more and more new ideas too and it's not stuck at the same place.

Ethereum will possible to reach the $1000 this year end , the bitcoin movement now is good and also to the ether and I hope this two coin have same future because it is the most powerful coins in the cryptocurrency the king of all crypto coins and also a king of the altcoins . There is a time that ethereum will bloom more and I think this year and probably next year is the best price for this coin.

But defi has recently fades out maybe that will give some signficiant impact to the bullrun because eth 2.0 honestly is not as hype as I imagine it would be.

It's a matter of time for ethereum to reach $1,000, but unfortunately, I am not sure if ethereum price jumps to the high price in a short time unless bitcoin can increase so high that it will be possible for ethereum to increase high. Bitcoin itself is still trying to stay at $15,000 and we see now bitcoin price can be at $15,200, so that can give a chance for ethereum to increase more. The next target for ethereum to increase will be at $500, and after the price can break the barrier, there will be another high price barrier that will need to break.

$1,000 is possible but I think Ethereum might have a very hard time reaching as high as that within the year. The price has started to grow now. Ethereum 2.0 has already started accepting ETH for staking and the shifting of the network to PoS. This is another reason why the price might rise big time in the remaining weeks of 2020. Thousands of ETH will surely be locked out for staking. This will reduce the amount in circulation.

yes, ethereum should have reached the price of $ 1000 because bitcoin price is already high and ethereum is following behind but until now ethereum is still at a low price and not going up so fast there are no surprises from the current ethereum price even though good news has happened a few days ago but all that not really increasing ethereum prices I hope that by the end of the year ethereum prices can increase higher than last year's ETH prices and give a surprise to holders and investors.

$1000 is still far for me because the current price is still in $450 and there is still a lot of resistance ahead which means the supply there is high. The good thing for me is it is now currently trending and you can see that its demand is continuing to increase. The daily average volume is also good, I hope that the ETH will surpass the next resistance around $480.

Actually, there is not much time left until the scheduled update date for Ethereum 2.0. Perhaps December 1 will be the moment when Ethereum will begin to improve its position, since today many are skeptical about the next statement of the team, since they have already postponed this update many times.

Reaching 1000 dollars would not be possible before the year ends if eth 2.0 doesn't collect enough money. Obviously it could reach there if the money is there but it is looking like we barely got 10% of it covered nowadays and that was with the first hype coming in, I do not think we are going to see 10% incremental increases neither, we are going to see a lot less money coming in for deposit.

This is why I believe we are not going to find 500k+ ethereum until 2021 and it will take some time for us to reach there but the moment we get close enough we are going to also see 1k get close as well so there is nothing wrong about buying today in order to profit when it reaches 2.0 period. We are going to see major stuff, we just need to calm down about it and react without hype.

I already accumulate my ETH months ago and I’m happy to see the fruit of my sacrifices, I know ETH will pump more until the end of the year but of course you should expect more corrections along the road and if you do have long term price goal, you should wait for it because its possible to happen with ETH.

I think people overhyped eth 2.0 yes its awesome but at the end of the day its not gonna magically make the price of eth went up to 1k without any reasoning.
if we want the price to be pumped to 1k we need more reason for it to go that far .
i think theres no correlation for eth price with btc in this case but that's true $1k is possibe maybe end of next year. $1k price itself is double the price and there's no stock or even index fund out there other than crypto that could reach double within very short amount of time. i think it's rather hard.

if you bought ethereum few months ago ,it mean you got profits now and continues holding ethereum till its price back to ATH will make you earn maximum profits. ethereum will hyped again when eth  ver2. released , many investors thinking this is the best reason to add more ethereum amount in our wallet.

The best time is yet to come for ethereum, but don't lose hope with it because altcoins and other btc alternatives will soon rise back. It's not always a downward trend for eth, and someday we will experience another brighter mornings. Meanwhile, eth also showed more developments of price after months of October that the price went down. Along with btc's progress I am confident that it will go along ways to come up a sustainable value that's beyond $1000 per eth.

I feel that too. Maybe ethereum needs longer to break every high price. We need to be patient to hold ethereum, and I think we will still have a chance to buy more ethereum if we want. The $500 is the next price that ethereum needs to break, and we are close to that price, and I think that price will break in this month. After the price can stay at $500, it will be tougher to break the next high price because it will have the uptrend and downtrend of the price.

If you plan to day trading, make sure you analyze deeper than usual because it will be more difficult to find the market's entry and exit way. Be careful in analyzing the price to buy and sell, and remember, you don't have to chase a bigger profit if it's difficult.

People who never trust what ETH can do will always be too late to join the part. I understand that you may not believe 1k+ to happen because it is a little over 2x of what it is right now, but remember we already made over 4x this year, we are getting closer to 4x very soon as well. So at the end of the day ETH could easily do a double once again, will it do that in the next month? I doubt that, even though it is possible it probably won't do it in the next month or two, but it could do that in the next 6 months.

There is this hype around crypto all the time, sometimes ICO, sometimes DeFi and sometimes collectibles sometimes NFT, I can continue to list you things that got hyped during this period, however reality is that when you have these, they are usually all tied to ETH and that is why I think it will double in the next 6 months.

So december 1 will be start of update of etherium and we hope that not be going canceled again because we waiting for that chance.

I am one of those who are rooting for Ethereum. I'm starting to admire its capability again. It's stable and trusted before and it's now booming on its own which is giving most of us the confidence that it could go more in the coming days. Ethereum is home to almost all crypto assets engaged in decentralized finance. According to predictions, the Ethereum 2.0 network can accommodate more DeFi players. That way maybe the price of eth is increasing, so eth is very good to keep because the fundamentals and utilities of these crypto assets are very strong.

It is not just depending on ETH 2.0 neither, we are in a stage where decentralized finance is actually going strong compared to what others believed. Normally there is always these trends in crypto world and usually it takes just few months for them to be hyped and everyone forgets about it later on, we have been about 6-8 months into defi world (it existed before but got famous these days) and we still are going strong.

September was a specially strong month and I agree that we went down compared to that, but we are still stronger and bigger than 6 months ago and we are not really dropping any further, this is the bottom we hit. So I assume with all these defi and erc20 wallet and eth transactions and so forth, in the end even without 2.0 we are going to see ETH rise pretty steep.

There's a tendency that price of ethereum will jump once this upgrade will take place. But, I'm not certain if it could touch to $1k, since were close to end of this year. One thing we observe is mostly users are focus in bitcoin as dominates the market, but I'm positive Ethereum will boom the following year, in my opinion.

an upgrade that doesn't look very good for ethereum only able to go up above $ 400 this bull run is great in my opinion because bitcoin can pump very high and other coins but not for ethereum $ 1000 by year's end is hard to come by because there is still a trend holding and going down for ethereum at this time

I don't think $1000 price this year end is possible, were close to end of this year but the price is still above $400. Yes not for ethereum since these days btc is increasing and I believe ethereum will have its time to pump in the market. If not this year, probably we can see a good move of eth in the market to happen soon.

I don't see a reason here to buy more ETH except for the deep speculation which takes its source from Hype. In all conditions, the uptrend for BTC means the overall bullish market for ETH too. The timeframes traders use is based on hourly graphs but using the weekly or even monthly graphs will give better results. The HYPE is not going to stay here everyday, market makers know how to handle the pressure by the mass demand after a HYPE. The ETH HYPE will be the next opportunity if the BTC price can cross the market resistance levels above $19000.

I personally am tired of seeing the ethereum movement now a lot of bull runs occur, but the price movement looks too late not like bitcoin which price is already high but able to pump so high, I hope that ethereum's plan to release ethereum 2.0 will produce positive results so that ethereum prices will rise high and make Lots investor smile 

dont be hurry mate, its different with flash pump which is make price rise extremely and then dumped extremely too. ethereum price that we see now due organic demand so normal when price increase smoothly.organic pump could survive rather than flash pump, its caused investors that really interested with ethereum decided buying.

It is better that the value or prices increasing depend on demand and not because it was supported by Whales ,because if does then surely Dump will follow eventually and the whales once again bag on our money.

It will not pump too high at a very sudden time and then drop drastically in also sudden time.

For those people who thinks that they are now late in terms of buying Ethereum, it seems that they do not see opportunities in the market where for me they are not yet ready and prepared to the bull market that is currently trend in the market. Buying Ethereum in the current amount is good for me as long as we have good risk management where we should know how to do a stop loss because it can help us to manage our risk very well. For me buying Ethereum at $430 -$450 levels are actually good and it is the best time to enter because we are now in bull market so expect that the price can increase more.

Ethereum is an unpredictable coin. It can decrease in price today and skyrocket the next day. Ethereum doesn't give quick profits like bitcoin. It just a long-time investment that requires many capitals before seeing earnings.

You might be too late to get into ETH or you might be too early, it all depends on where you look at it and what do you think will happen with ETH in the future. Sure it went up a lot this year and with the news of 2.0 launchpad it did moved up a lot and it is normal to feel like you are too late.

If you are too late and price is already as high as it gets for a long time there is nothing to talk about why that could be possible, it would just go down. But a case for being early could be made as well, we still do not have 2.0 and price could go up even further when we get closer to 2.0, plus there could be even more defi or any other project based on eth blockchain, and on top of that after 2.0 happens there will be a long period where stakes will keep holding so price will keep going up. So if you are long term enough (3-5 years) you could be still very early.

well yeah it may happen but BTC cannot be outperformed by ethereum and that is the reality.there might be a altcoin season and surely ethereum will lead the way but those will happen once bitcoin reached its ATH that may happen nearly.

The longer the time frame, the stronger the trend. I'm more likely a day trader who using 1day and weekly time frames, there are only few times that I becoming a scalpers or those who using small time frame like 15 minutes,  30 minutes and 1 hour time frame. In terms of the daily time frame of ETH, it is now good because it recently breakout in one of the key levels. In terms of weekly time frame, ETH is still in reversal and consolidations stage so I think it will take more a lot of time to see the bull in eth.

No doubt about the foundation but considering how this cryptocurrency poorly handle traffics which I doubt it's gonna be skyrocketing its price again unless it solved that problem. Ethereum really did well this year though more than most of us expected.

Possible price would touch $500-600 as the current price is above $400. Ethereum movement lately is good at least we observe an increase. The point is the price is unpredictable but for $1k I doubt to touch this year. It will take time for ethereum to soar totally in the market.

What steal the show is BTC and how it consistently bullish in this past few months.
