Bitcoin as a decentralized asset does not need to be validated by a government inorder to go mainstream. More adoption is always welcome and anyone can trade or hold it, but its growth should not depend on the actions of a person or institution.

You can move with millions of dollars in your wallet as bitcoin.
Moving with millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin may not be a good idea. Such amount should be safely tucked away in a hardware wallet.

Bitcoin as a whole is totally a decentralized system where no user is in control, but on a recent occasions, the CEO of cryptocurrency derivative platform  FTX Sam Bankman Fried donated a huge sum of btc to Joe Biden in supporting his election, in that case it could be said that bitcoin is going globally and could used as a global currency.

Bitcoin alone will not be enough, if there are enough people that will be opposing it, governments can be toppled to be replaced by something new. It will be a catalyst but it will not be the sole reason that someone will become world power, it is more on who has a bigger sphere of influence rather than who favors bitcoin. And also, nuclear capability.

I'm sorry but it seems that you are too exaggerating it.

Bitcoin is enough to be a disrupting the financial system, as it has a polarizing effect. But becoming a world power or becoming a world currency? Nah, I don't think that it will happen.

Gold and US dollar will still be the leader, the popular one that governments wants to as their reserved and not Bitcoin.

Right now, Bitcoin is already what you call as the world power cryptocurrency. It is already, in your terms, leading it.

But what do you mean president of the world power? The world does not have a single governing body. Do you mean presidents of countries which are very influential in world affairs? Well, it may indeed boost Bitcoin adoption if the world's leading presidents are in favor of Bitcoin. But that is not a prerequisite. As a matter of fact, Bitcoin has soared to the highest skies not with the world's leader but in spite of them.

It is by far, no single crypto currency has been widely adopted by individuals, retail and institutional investors or even companies are not putting their reserved assets in bitcoin.

If a president of the world power is a trader and in support of bitcoin, It will affect bitcoin positively, countries, people will now start to legalize bitcoin on their own.So it will be great if this happens, I do understand that bitcoin is not a physical cash, that doesn’t stopped anything,You can move with millions of dollars in your wallet as bitcoin. Bitcoin though has been design to be decentralised, with or without the support of a President or a country, although there are nations like Japan and Australia who have accepted bitcoin as legal tender. If we wanted to see positive impact, then global adoption should happen.

If you were in any way subtly referring to the new man in saddle at the US Whitehouse lending his support to Bitcoin to make it grow, then you've missed the point. Bitcoin is community driven as a decentralized asset. No single person can manipulate it. Otherwise, Bitcoin wouldn't be as relatively stable as it is today. Trump's hatred for Bitcoin couldn't kill it, not even Warren Buffet's disdain for it. I don't think Joe Biden's attitude will matter too, except he bans his country from using it.

You can move with millions of dollars in your wallet as bitcoin. It will be a positive impact if this happens.
I want to believe this advice came from a place of misdirection. No one should do this because it's highly risky and should be jettisoned. Split your hodling into several wallets if you hodl a lot and then delete those wallet. But make sure you have their Private Keys safely tucked somewhere offline.

Approving Bitcoin isn't as easy as counting 1, 2, 3, this needs research and a lot of data before they even consider Bitcoin. A world power promoting Bitcoin is just a pipe dream and is unlikely to happen as long as they have no absolute way to regulate it and make it their own. It's not like we need them anyway, Bitcoin is growing each day without the approval of the authority which is why people invest in it because we have the freedom in many ways.

We know a country's power is its population. So if the population use and support bitcoin then doesn't matter if the president trade bitcoin or not. Bitcoin is a decentralized leading cryptocurrency and its ruling digital currency world. Those country hasn't been accepting Bitcoin, most probably they will regret at the end eventually. Because its value and price both have been increasing day by day. Due to a strong community, I believe Bitcoin would act world power once a time.

Agree, people are still blindfolded with real currency they are still Faraway from the digital age. In my opinion the majority of the world people using digital currency might be around 20% or hardly 30% that's it, the reason I think might be lack of knowledge and they don't want to take risk as they feel currency as a safe zone. Unless their mindset changes we can't do anything they want to think out of the box.

If a president of the world power is a trader and in support of bitcoin,
You mean high-ranking state officials such as the president, ministers and government officials to trade / invest in Bitcoin....!

OP, if that's what you mean, it has happened in some of the top state officials trading with Bitcoin.

The government cannot control Bitcoin, so, even though the president does trade with Bitcoin, it does not mean that it is a force or is illegal in the country, for now Bitcoin is strong enough even though top officials are not involved in it.
Most state officials do not admit they trade / invest in Bitcoin, even though they are in it, Private secrets.

Not the main point of bitcoin as a decentralized cryptocurrency, but any support from a President still a plus point for bitcoin community to encourage more people to at least learn about the advantage of bitcoin.

Quote
No single person can manipulate it. Otherwise, Bitcoin wouldn't be as relatively stable as it is today.

bitcoin isn't a relatively stable coin, the price could change thousand of dollars in matter of hours or days, not to mention how much it fluctuate in months.
Because it can be manipulated by whoever have huge capital to do so, or by people who hold the title as bitcoin whale, they can dump it.
Bitcoin is an object of manipulation, it isn't stable.

In my opinion if world power countries and their presidents develop interest in Bitcoin, it could be counterproductive, Governments are known for one thing, and that's imposing regulations, in the last couple of years we've seen how some countries are trying so hard to set regulations on cryptocurrecy and try to have a little bit of control; and since Bitcoin is dex, and govt can't really control it, some have gone ahead to either ban the coin/launch their central bank digital currency. The Bitcoin network doesn't rely on a third party for anything, except those who use centralized exchanges and the rest, so govt involvement isn't that much necessary.

There high officials in many governments where they are the people who are against bitcoin before but they are now finally understand what it is and for sure that they invest some money there and they keep it secret in the public. Not only the government official but also the investors and entrepreneurs in different society are now adopting because they are aware that it is the future of payment system. When it comes to the highest position in the economy which are the bankers where for sure they are now having hard time and doubts nowadays especially the adoption are now becoming good than before and many people are now becoming aware to the benefits of the digital currency. Bankers are powerful institutions, persons and organization because they are the one who prints money and they are the one who circulates the fiat money in different economy. The bad thing is they still hide the benefits of the cryptocurrencies that it can give to public and it is the reason why laws and regulations in cryptocurrencies are still not matter and they still hide the truth because they want the public to patronize the fiat and not digital currencies because fiat currency are centralized and they can control it.

Honestly, hearing about a president getting into cryptocurrencies would be the most sketchy thing I'd ever hear about. I'd think twice about the possibility of these news to be positive rather than negative. I'm not sure when was the last time I heard about the state supporting something they cannot keep their hand on, because it seems like control is the only way they're heading.

Anyone high-ranking official in doing anything in cryptocurrency, including trading and investing, I think it is only temporarily influential and there must be many issues that are about those who use it, but it is not impossible to be legal, but it is difficult to legalize when these officials know how bitcoin will react.

I am sure bitcoin will remain strong as a force without an official or even a president, therefore it will still be a force in the future like it is today which many predict will continue to rise.

Bitcoin: Although not ultimately allowable in all countries and problematic to legalize, it has no probability of becoming a world power. But if we glimpse at its popularity and notice the rest of the endeavors, it is no slight. It has to be accurate to gain credibility and Bitcoin is performing just that. Although it is a scam it is going through its best afford. So from my point of view, I can referee that bitcoin as a world power.

Just the fact that some powerful person is a Bitcoin supporter is not enough to make the world adopt Bitcoin, it's not even enough to trigger adoption domestically. Actually, no matter what a leader of a world power does, it still won't make people to massively adopt Bitcoin, even if they would make it equal to fiat currency, because it won't make Bitcoin's problems like volatility or scalability go away. People in Bitcoin community love to imagine that something in the future will trigger Bitcoin's mass adoption, but history shows that it never happens. Situation like this pandemic, or wars, economic uncertainty, et cetera, were viewed as opportunity for Bitcoin to shine, but still mass adoption never happened.

Bitcoin is totally decentralized and these means no one is in control of bitcoin. Bitcoin can assume world power if bitcoin is centralized and that’s will definitely go against the goal of Satoshi. The world will accept bitcoin if bitcoin is Centralized and I don’t see possibilities of bitcoin becoming centralized. Bitcoin can’t be under the control of the government just like every other centralized currency in the world.

controlling the world like what do you mean?
Bitcoin was created not for the purpose of dominating the world in terms of payments, but rather to provide other options that are more transparent, easier and not regulated by anyone. Bitcoin and blockchain technology is fully decentralized and is not controlled by anyone, including the government.

Bitcoin is growing and will remain a revolutionary digital payment instrument with many advantages and various risks in it.

Governments do not like bitcoin because they cannot administer it, bitcoin is anonymous and decentralized so it is difficult to collect taxes from people who use bitcoin.
Because of the above characteristics, I think bitcoin needs a very long time before being accepted by governments.

The general world population is so fixated on the physical presence of the dollar and they fail to realize that it is already digital currency. the governments do not even have the physical monies to administer if everyone went to the banks to claim their physical money, the banks would shut down . They can't issue as much money as those digits say that the average person has in their account. The dollar is built on trust not reality. Just waiting on the inevitable new digital global shift to crypto.

Couldn't agree more. Bitcoin is always powerful no matter who is the next president of the US. The politicians do not give a shit about bitcoin. The only thing they care is how to impose tax on bitcoin so as to collect as much money from the people who benefits bitcoin usages. Hence, the decentralization will surely be one of the best invention of the humankind.

Its hard for bitcoin to become a currency due to the high fees and potential to go higher and higher. Currently, people only consider bitcoin as digital gold where they can generate their money passively just by staking coins. But this is a great news for bitcoin community since we do need to raise people awareness about the existence of decentralized online currency

Currently there are more and more bitcoin users. It continues to grow and also continues to develop well. I think this bitcoin will be able to rule the world someday.
Its hard. Although bitcoin is developed very well, I doubt that it can rule the world someday. People up to now only benefits themselves with holding bitcoin without using it in their daily life. This idea will make bitcoin less stronger than it meant to be. And its technologies somehow are obsolete when we compare to other crypto.

Being the number one cryptocurrency is okay to me. No matter how the world changes, I believe bitcoin will still have this position in the future. Ruling the world is an impossible task but I guess we can dream about it

The global shift to crypto in the near future is possible only if sovereign States disappear from the map of the world together with governments, respectively, because the government manages its state and economy, thanks to the presence of its own currency and the regulation of its issue and turnover. There is no control of money on its territory, there is no state. As for the withdrawal of all funds by depositors from the Bank at one time at once, no Bank can do this due to the principles of its existence.

Rather than a top to bottom order of bitcoin usage on trading and other needs, it is good to go with a bottom to the top order. This makes adoption and its usage more effective than an implementation from the top order based on his usage. The government or leader is for the people, and when he provides legal support understanding the increase in usage of bitcoin by common man then it adds value to the market.

The popularity and rising price of bitcoin are not determined by government policy. Because Bitcoin is not a conventional currency,
government agencies cannot control that.  Government policy can only encourage purchasing power against bitcoin.
On the contrary, the popularity of bitcoin occurs because many people adopted bitcoin en masse this decade.
As we already know that a lot of news in the mass adoption media of bitcoin has increased over the last 6 months.
Many large companies are shifting their assets to bitcoin investments.

and besides Volatility of Bitcoin is a good for market to proof how strong and healthy our crypto market is.

Uhh nope. Even if the Presidents of various countries were trader or Pro Bitcoin, there's no sense in actually making it a world power. In fact, getting swept away or influenced by the fact that a President being a Pro Bitcoin made you trade is already leaving what Bitcoin is supposed to be, simply decentralized or in simple terms, free from any control or influence of others. If you want to use it, then use it, if you don't want to, then don't. Simple as that.

Adoption is welcome and all and in that sense, there's really no competition between it and others. It's not like Bitcoin is aiming to conquer the world and impose its own laws. For gods sake it's a medium of trade, a currency that basically has more freedom than the fiat we have right now.

If he is one of the promoters of Bitcoin, some other oppositions will promote hatred about it like using the media and the other way around to disapprove of his/her view about bitcoin. That's why before doing something like it one must know the risk of doing such things and they should know some way to counter such malicious. Because promoting Bitcoin when you are the president of a country takes a lot of responsibility unless you know what you're doing.

Bitcoin is the top cryptocurrency and having $288 B market capital which is one of the top leading currency in the world. Bitcoin's blockchain technology is now one of the finest technology for financial sectors and as a consequence, many sectors specially banking sectors are now implementing it in their sectors. So Bitcoin is powerful from either popularity and market capital or its technology. Only on president can't control its price as it is decentralized system. Millions of people use Bitcoin and control its demand and supply chain and it puts impact on its price.

We are moving forward to that and there's a big possible that it will happen, and it's going to happen as long as company like PayPal will support and continue to support Cryptocurrency and country will not restrict their citizen from using Bitcoin, but we all know the government they want to control and restrict everything, but in ten years we'll see if Bitcoin become the most used currency.

Bitcoin is already at the top when we talk about cryptocurrencies. My country is an example of that, when people talk about cryptocurrencies they are only talking about Bitcoin, and when you ask questions what is cryptocurrencies the answer you’re going to get is that ‘cryptocurrency is bitcoin’ lol.

So, Bitcoin is kind overshadowing other cryptocurrencies and it’s the most used cryptocurrency in terms of transactions, it’s a really big thing already, and I don’t see much that’s needed again except for more adoption which is what we need next.

Big governments are less unlikely to make such bold moves because that would create waves in the whole world. Also regulations are still not in place for Bitcoin in many countries.
I expect the under-developed countries to make big leaps. They are not that attached to making payments through the banks. That's exactly why see much volume of txs in countries like Nigeria.

This means that even without Biden, bitcoin will still grow the more because more people will support it and be using it.

I'm a bit confused here, is Biden a probitcoiner or am I missing something. The market reaction is negative so how does that make him have an impact on the market positively. The market reacted exactly to the election as speculated, a biden adminstration equals a dump in market as there are prediction of a possible strick antibitcoin policy to be practice by his government and immediately it was clear he was to emerge the winners the market correction started.

Bitcoin is likely to success more without the government approving it as a legal tendency/currency. It's to serve as a countermeasures to whatever the fiats are operating. There won't be any good coming from the government, observable the past few months of the community seeking the approval of the government's we can see how things are playing out.

The government are only interested in controlling your finance because they know money controls the world and if they're able to control the money, they control the world.

Yes of course, and i think if bitcoin legality actually happened....i am sure other coins will follow
Because, if only bitcoin has legality ... what about people who can't afford bitcoin ?
So if legality happens .... I hope it happens to bitcoin and altcoins.

I also agree with bitcoin as a world power, but the most important thing in my opinion is that a country itself legalizes bitcoin that is the most important, but what we know is that there are restrictions from countries whose economies do not want to be disturbed by cryptocurrency

bitcoin is banned in some countries but bitcoin transactions still exist in that country. if the country legalizes bitcoin it will destroy the economy in the real world because we all know bitcoin is unstable in price. The important thing is that those who hold bitcoin can convert to fiat and those who have alcoin can also exchange fiat.

Yes whether it is the president of the states or president of all the first world country still more and more country doesn't recognize bitcoin it is still prohibited in some countries and also not all the countries internet is accessible. Even the president of the states is pro bitcoin he cannot control other country to follow him and legalize bitcoin. it is the decision of every country leader.

I got your point and it could somehow happen because of the power of the government especially if the one who knows and does trading and investing it is the president but it is not enough because there are still many people that could oppose the government, their citizen and other government institution may oppose the government of the things he/she wants to be especially if it is against the centralized system.

The adoption will be the best thing for bitcoin to be more popular all over the world, it should be started on the leader and members should follow it as well.

In here, you mentioned a president who belongs to a country where crypto is accepted. So it won't affect much in pricing. If the country will be legalized as a newly accepted cryptocurrency then the price can be affected and chance of a huge push for such a big country. You can consider Btc as the world power because you can move with billions of $ with you by one wallet. So it is obviously powerful.

Bitcoin does have its pros but also does have its cons when we do talk about global economic state or trying to make it as a currency.
Imagine that it is already fairly distributed and theres no such thing about world power or what yet as a president of a country you can possibly
tell about bitcoins existence but doesnt mean that you will require your citizens to do so unless if you are a type of a government that had
that dictatorial type then it is possible but in most cases where countries are free on making up decisions on what are the things they would
gonna do.Dont think about world power or whatsoever because bitcoin isnt created on that way.

Well, let's don't exaggerate with presumptions. Yes, Bitcoin is a leading cryptocurrency and it will probably stay so for a longer period of time but it will not turn into world power. We still live in world of fiat currencies and our economies depend on it. Also, I don't think that US elections will change anything in that way and new elected president has so many priority issues to deal with so crypto is not on the top themes in the upcoming period.

Whether bitcoin will be a world power it is unknown to many but much stronger in the case of decentralized transactions its demand is high in the online world bitcoin is still illegal in many countries the whole world supports it the banks can become stronger if they are replaced but it will take a long time.  Fiat is currency centric the demand for bitcoin is currently higher than fiat no controls because it is not acceptable everywhere.

I seem to me that OP is pertaining to the possibility that Bitcoin could dominate the world's currency. Perhaps, to be considered as a universal currency for means of transactions. But IMO, it isn't possible for the characteristic of bitcoin. Yes, it was made for peer to peer transactions, but in order to attract more adoption of people, it should be capable to be used for micro transactions such as in stores, buying cheap items and services. It could be a store of value, our own storage for money, but never to be a world power. As bitcoin is decentralized and could not be controlled by an entity, even if Paypal will integrate it, many who really understand what Bitcoin is will still consider using a decentralized approach for the best benefit of Bitcoin.

Yes, the success relies over the increased usage of bitcoin by the common man. This happens when bitcoin becomes an asset usable on micropayments. As of now bitcoin isn't used much on micropayments because of the fees. More large scale firms have begun to adopt bitcoin as reserve and on investment, but the usage as currency on daily needs isn't found much.

To gain world power, not only crypto but any currency should get the minds of people first... While people trust in the currency, it works...
Yes, gaining people's allegiance is very meaningful. Bitcoin has achieved that trust and is committing very nicely. Bitcoin will be considered a world power if this trend continues.
The basic thing about this technology called Bitcoin is that, it's decentralized and nobody has the right to manipulate it growth aside the whales which has been turbine the system for sometimes. The reason I will concur with anyone on this is, the act of Bitcoin decentralization which makes it neutral from oppressors will make it world power in future. Sincerely, Bitcoin powers will be  more felt when the adoption goes mainstream, bet me.

This may happen. But bitcoin is not always approved by governments,
and we can not say that all governments in the world want bitcoin.
So bitcoin can be a global power, but not in all countries

I must agree with you. Bitcoin can be a global power and its getting popular but still until now their are some countries that banned cryptocurrency because their government doesn't allow it to be legalized in their country . But yes bitcoin can be more bigger and has a big possibility that it will become a global power.

Anything can happen in the next 10-20 years, who knows about bitcoin at that time, as Satoshi said about bitcoin in 2010; in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48.msg329#msg329) we will find out in 2030.

Not all governments are agreed to ban bitcoin or legalize bitcoin, like in Japan.
If what he meant was bitcoin as the currency that will dominate the world upon traditional fiat currency, it depends on people's choice.
Even if the government ban bitcoin, we can still use it by using a VPN to access overseas exchanges, yet bitcoin still can't accommodate a global scale at one time.

This would be nice, but you know to become a world currency you need to gain the trust of the people first, and so far so good bitcoin has been able to gain at least 1% of the total world attention, I know they are so many people who don't still know about it, but it's a gradually process, we'll get to that stage soon, although it's already seen as a global currency.
I do understand that bitcoin is not a physical cash, that doesn’t stopped anything,You can move with millions of dollars in your wallet as bitcoin. It will be a positive impact if this happens.
Although it's not a physical cash that doesn't mean you can't get robbed, just store those millions in your ledger wallet and move around with your phone, sh*ts happen sometimes, you never can tell.

It could be that what you say comes true but a president cannot make his own decision to legalize Bitcoin in his country, because the president has to discuss it with other important people to make sure Bitcoin is legalized in their country, if everyone agrees and it is definitely safe to use Bitcoin in its own country.

You must hope that Bitcoin gets the attention it needs from the Government and from there, we can say that it has the possibility of being a World Power. Bitcoin is already legal to use but in some countries they are being banned out because of the lack of knowledge of the people banning it. It will be a useful tool to be used but some developers are also pursuing into digitizing their local currencies. All we can do now is keep supporting Bitcoin and learn about its future developments.

Bitcoin gained prominence due to its high level of trust, it also grew due to its decentralized nature, it means that, what Bitcoin offers is what is driving its growth. Although it's quite true that if the president of a world power support Bitcoin, it will grow even more but it is also good to remember that Bitcoin has been growing even without their support, further showing that with or without their support, Bitcoin is on the path of changing a lot of things in the world. However, looking from another point of view, it might be hard for a president to say that since it is obvious they can't control it, and what they can't control they might not support so that they won't lose their power.
Lastly, Bitcoin is already the world leading cryptocurrency because it can be trusted and can be accessed from anywhere in the world, but same can not be said of  the new digital currency created by central banks of some countries.

I will say you are right, but let us know that bitcoin is valuable than to be used only one person to referred to its progress, without Biden, bitcoin has been growing, it is supported by people because it is decentralized and deflationary currency. This means that even without Biden, bitcoin will still grow the more because more people will support it and be using it.

I agree. Although there are a few out there who can't recognise BTC as a digital currency and a few who do, at the end of the day what's important is adoption by the majority.
Even if public facing personas like Biden recognise the power BTC entails, the major role is still about the rest of the world responding in a positive manner.

Given the current state of the BTC it look likely that more people will join the BTC market just like they did in 2017, and that would contribute greatly to increasing BTC's marketcap which is what's needed to see the abundant growth everybody expects/talks about.

In my opinion bitcoin is the power of freedom. We know that bitcoin's goal is not to oppose and fight against anything. Bitcoin is only for people who like freedom without breaking the rules.

I think bitcoin is more about opportunity than creativity, because thanks to the digital currency, besides the speculation which can grants us profit, there is also a lot of new job and tasks offers on the internet. Bitcoin would eventually be a world power as many countries are slowly adapting and welcoming bitcoin. Bitcoin is currently leading and at the top of the list of cryptocurrencies. In no time, bitcoin would probably be used globally by different races because of its advantages and benefits.

There are still countries that have banned and made bitcoin illegal. However, many countries and states are starting to embrace the digital currency since it has few promising nature and features. Several government officials in other countries allowed bitcoin to be utilized and used by their citizens in accordance to the rules and regulations they have set. If ever the majority of the countries would start to do the same, bitcoin would really gain that world power. If the majority of the population is using something, it could bring a great influence. If ever bitcoin would be widely known and would have a lot of users and supporters, bitcoin community would grow bigger and bigger. This would signify power and control - some sort of domination.

although the legality is still weak, bitcoin is recognized as having extraordinary benefits. Bitcoin can overcome many problems that become obstacles in the conventional financial system. that is why there are several countries that are open to crypto. It's just that, the negative side related to decentralization that cannot be controlled and has the opportunity to be used for illegal activities has made most countries limit this.
We must be wise in dealing with this. all things also have negative and positive sides, the important thing is we can take advantage of them. There will always be cons, which is clear that the adoption of bitcoin is getting wider, this indicates that crypto is starting to be received well.

As distant as crypto ventures are concerned, Bitcoin is certainly the gold. But in the event that we are to consider all the rest of the speculation choices counting gold, I would not say Bitcoin rules them all.
Bitcoin is one among numerous valuable resources but I would not say it is way better than gold in all aspects. Investment portfolio expanded is continuously perfect way to go which implies an speculation portfolio ought to continuously incorporate gold in it. Gold is proven with a really solid track record. I do not think a astute portfolio will not incorporate it.

what is a world power and why it can increase creativity . i dont know if your sentence is too deep or your using words that are out of this world but hey i think i get what your trying to say . you mean that if you hold the most bitcoin that shows that you are powerful because you think bitcoin symbolizes power, is that right ? bitcoin isnt leading the world but it is leading the world of cryptocurrency  .

every country wants power but btc isnt enough because btc doesnt dominate everything. that is why i dont think other countries will unban btc just to join this movement .
His tallking about if country has already power and if the president will support it it will become more powerful, not only the price become pump but because it can be use as one of payments that can be use not only cards or anything that can use to pay of our bills or etc that we want to buy. I think his trying to say is whenever you go you can go with your bitcoin as long as it is in hard wallet yet the same with holding but i think its more efficient that we can use bitcoin whenever we want to use it.

Well, I do admire that you seek for bitcoin to achieve world superiority and for a leader of a world power like the U.S. to adopt Bitcoin and become the most powerful currency in the world. But I don't think the financial sector will agree on that idea of bitcoin trumping both gold and the mighty U.S. Dollar. It will take decades before this happen maybe I am seeing possibly around 2080 to 2100 before the world will agree on one top currency and I would be surprised it it will be Bitcoin because there are many contenders when it comes to currencies and the U.S. surely won't give up the throne easily without a good fight.

Approving Bitcoin is not an easy task. If the majority of people in a country work with bitcoin, then the government of that country will consider it. This requires research and a lot of data before considering Bitcoin. A global power to promote Bitcoin will only be a futile dream, unless they have a perfect way to control it and make it their own. The good news, however, is that Bitcoin has already gained recognition as a world power cryptocurrency. It has already shown its strength.

If you look at the Bitcoin price which has been at $ 36,000 in a relatively short time, This can indeed be an indication that Bitcoin has the potential
to become a world power. Due to the increase in Bitcoin based on supply and demand, so Bitcoin goes up very fast, meaning the higher the demand
for Bitcoin. Which means the number of people buying Bitcoin continues to increase, so more and more believe in the potential of Bitcoin.

It is not easy for Bitcoin to become a world power because it still requires a long process, seeing the number of countries that legalize Bitcoin is still
small and the number of people in the world that own Bitcoin has not reached 50%. But at least I believe it can be achieved in the future.

Yes you are right, bitcoin is a world power and can dominate other currencies. As we can see on the price of the bitcoin right now, we can tell what's the effect of this bull run to society and many people can get interested in this. So I really think that bitcoin as a world power as long as many people use and admire it.

Actually, bitcoin has already shown its power during the 2017 bull run and it just increases the community that believes its potential.

The idea of Bitcoin as a tool for world power is quite hard to happen. In the first place, Bitcoin was made to promote decentralization, Bitcoin itself is decentralized that it doesn't tolerate someone to have control over Bitcoin or even outside Bitcoin. What I can see how this could possibly happen is when an entity acquires most of the mining farms. But even with that, the coding behind Bitcoin's logic was programmed in a way that will not let an entity to have control over the entire network.

On the other hand, we can say that an individual could be powerful through Bitcoin if he is rich, and will acquire the most amount of Bitcoin as he can. In this way, he can manipulate the market or somehow make an impact on it.

According to my conclusion in the event that world control nations and their presidents create intrigued in Bitcoin, it may be counterproductive, Officials are known for one thing, and that's forcing directions, within the final couple of a long time we've seen how a few nations are attempting so difficult to set directions on cryptocurrecy and attempt to have a small bit of control; and since Bitcoin is an autonomous, and govt can't truly control it, a few have gone ahead to either boycott the coin and may launch their central bank advanced cash. The Bitcoin organize doesn't depend on a third party for anything, but those who utilize centralized trades and the rest, so govt inclusion isn't that much vital.

You can move with millions of dollars in your wallet as bitcoin. It will be a positive impact if this happens.

This is a wonder too and I can say is a mechanic that the world will live to know. Having such amount and moving around with no fear of being attacked. If you even get attack, you don't lose your hodling because you have everything you need to  unlock your security by yourself. However to this, world leaders can't hijack the bitcoin power to themselves because they are not the creator and bitcoin is decentralized for every country and nothing can change such innovative model of bitcoin.

There are improvement in the network and some others which are still growing to ensure that the said Bitcoin can be use in our day-to-day usage. Digital assets are the future. More and more countries will start to learn that decentralization is what everybody goes for and switching from banknotes and gold to digital currency will be the norm. Maybe not yet, but give it 10-20 years and we will be on a totally different world-one of innovation, where technology is at the center of everything.

It seems as if you woke up today after returning from the future.  ("figurative sense")

Well, the saying goes "you are not discovering warm water" is something that is happening and every day many people who manage to understand bitcoin in the wake of everything that means beyond an ATH or wanting to become a millionaire by simply being hodl.

It is the idea but it is not easy, systems led by people are difficult to change, any significant change has the tendency to offer resistance in any environment, however minimal, that is, it occurs at all levels, academic, managerial, industrial , social, economic even in things as insignificant as when you install new software.

Only that sometimes that resistance in the ecosystem is adaptive and over time people give in, well what I just said is in theory, because in practice the time factor is influenced by individual resistances that affect the collective.

But there are also individuals who support and are influence to achieve penetration in the group and that is what really must be done and always take into account as bitcoin users. Not everything can be to think ATH, you have to get to the idea ... of the title of this thread (e.g.)

G.B.

Well, not all the big financial institutions are into cryptocurrencies right now simply because there are still options they can make money off in the fiat markets. If they have shown interest in Bitcoin, then the all time high that we saw in Bitcoin already happened a long time ago. We are not going to see big finance go loco on Bitcoin for anytime now even if it is going up. Sure many brokers and traders would be glad to join the FOMO but the big ones won't.

I don't think so that Bitcoin would be a world power. What if one day that Bitcoin will not back up by dollar and other fiat currency anymore? Can be Bitcoin will still that strong and will exist with the kind of power that you are claiming? For me, nothing can replace the fiat as the world power as it can buy most everything in this world for centuries and Bitcoin is just hiding in the shadow of it.
I don't think so. Bitcoin will be always back up by dollar and other fiat currency especially now that they are seeing the potential of bitcoin right now. It's true that no one can replace fiat currency even in the next century because this is the one that is supported by the world bank, still I am seeing bitcoin as one that became the world power but it doesn't mean that it will replace the fiat and local currency of every country.

To become a world power, bitcoin is not the only thing that we should consider as there are more aspects that a country should improve upon if they want to become a world power, owning bitcoin will not be enough or should I say is not the key to becoming a world power, remember that it is not a physical cash which means that if a country ever considers owning and adopting bitcoin as their form of currency for transaction, a simple but elaborate attack on power grids will be enough to destroy their economy.

Referring to world power, the word such as "World power" doesn't circulate only in currency. There are some characteristics for those who want to achieve such power. You can gain world power by having a massive influence on your state, extraordinary intelligence, has an access on a country's arm forces, also, having such huge wealth and many more. With these, you can certainly attain the "World power" you're seeking with.

Bitcoin is not actually a power that you can say. Bitcoin is innovation brought by the new technology this days. It can serves as a sign that a country is improving as well as the meaning of true progress. If you do have a lot of it, it doesn't mean that you are powerful. It is more like you have a lot of advantages that can make through put your bitcoin. You can use it in several things like, earning, buying and even in entertainment. Bitcoin might be a risky thing because of it unstability but it will be more interesting to take risk. Anyways, risky things are so worth it if you achieve your goals.

The concept of "power" always includes the territory where it will be located. Together with the territory, we get a lot of traditional everyday problems, about which any of our good undertakings always quickly broke down. And therefore, the words power and bitcoin clearly do not combine into something abstract that could be imagined. In fact, this is just some kind of nonsense.

Even if a world leader trade and invest in bitcoin and the sec or Central bank are still against bitcoin then that will not make any difference, the truth is as long as bitcoin is decentralized and can't be regulated or control by a government or it agency bitcoin will remain a secondary currency which to me is OK.
Bitcoin supporters say this is OK since it is creating an entirely new financial system free of government interference. Mining gold and printing money too cost a lot to produce, transport and keep safe. Meanwhile, today's financial system with its digital platforms and offices uses lots of energy too.Now a few months later, it has nearly doubled to 121 terawatt-hours, the Cambridge researchers found, enough to run their entire university for nearly 700 years.

BTC mining is basically centralized at this point. Only a small handful of groups have majority of the hashing power.
The dream of decentralization of BTC died effectively once China started doing massive ASIC chip batches in their foundries and stacking warehouses full of SHA256 brute force machines. :/

That is just your personal thinking, most of the others still trust banks in the matter of money and interest protection because under the regulation of government and law, banks are very transparent and safety ratios are almost absolute, bitcoin can bring more interest, which is a strong point but without any protection laws, value can be controlled and very volatile. Bitcoin is just a small force and is particularly well known in the investment sector, enhancing its role and comparing with world power is probably too much hype

And with these trading influencer spreading words about bitcoin like how it is this time, i think it won't take long until bitcoin becomes more well-known and used by many people. Although i might say, making government supporting bitcoin is a hard task, especially if we want world power where it must be done worldwide. There is a reason why it's value is going upward constantly...

altcoins are trying to gain momentum but it doesn't seem to get attraction as the "real deal". So there is a fine line where originality pertains its nature to be dominate. This is a simply psychology. People always want new and original. Just like the First movie of the series is the best one out of the rest... eg. Fast and the Furious Lol.

Still most of nations not eventually admissible in all nations and risky to legalize, it has no likelihood of getting to be a world control. But in the event that we see at its ubiquity and take note the rest of the endeavors, it is no slight. It must be precise to pick up validity and Bitcoin is performing just that. In spite of the fact that it could be a trick it is going through its best bear. So from my point of see, I can official that bitcoin as a world control.

If we look at Bitcoin's performance this year and also several large companies that have started investing in Bitcoin,  I believe Bitcoin has become
a world power. Even Bitcoin has saved many people in a pandemic situation like now, by being a good source of income. I myself have made a lot of
money investing in Bitcoin, and I believe Bitcoin can make more people rich in the future with its power.

I would say so.. This is why banks are up in knots and governments all excited about bitcoin. They know something big is coming and they know they can no longer hide their corruption. Bitcoin is more of a safe haven for the trust of the people to place their value in rather than fiat which constantly loses value all the time. I would stick with crypto thanks. The government must do its own thing. SO, yes I certainly would say it is a world power to be leaving such an impression on so many people.

A world control? I think it is too early if you say Bitcoin as a world control. It is possible but I think it is not for now. Let's wait for the more massive adoption of Bitcoin. In 2020 and 2021, the signs for more massive adoption of bigger parties in the world are clearly seen by many top companies and popular people in the world join Bitcoin investment.

Actually bitcoin is already a leading cryptocurrency, and although it may not be a world power yet, it's quite dominating in the cryptocurrency world. And with these trading influencer spreading words about bitcoin like how it is this time, i think it won't take long until bitcoin becomes more well-known and used by many people. Although i might say, making government supporting bitcoin is a hard task, especially if we want world power where it must be done worldwide. Sadly, even now there are still many countries banning bitcoin, so it still take a long way to go.
A state in which there would be a decentralized cryptocurrency as national money does not exist and cannot exist in principle, because the state and decentralized finance are incompatible. So I don't understand the idea behind this post. Bitcoin will never be associated with any state. Bitcoin as a world power is a slogan that has no practical meaning.

If the leader of a country strongly supports the development of Bitcoin, it will definitely promote the development of Bitcoin. Similarly, if the leader of a country strictly prohibits the trading and mining of Bitcoin, as in China, it will definitely have a significant impact on the development of Bitcoin. For example, the price of Bitcoin has fallen sharply. But, believe me, this must not be the factor that determines the survival of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has many nodes. Even if a country does not allow the use of Bitcoin, this will not have any serious impact on the development of Bitcoin. I will always believe in Bitcoin. This is a belief.

This will increase the creativity in bitcoin world.Have we thought of this, I’m seeing bitcoin leading the world as the world power cryptocurrency. It will be a positive impact if this happens.
hello sir, I agree with you that bitcoin might become a giant when all countries allow bitcoin to be on state exchanges, but big people will also flock to follow the bitcoin flow, the impact of bitcoin will be flat trading and will be like a currency what the general world is today and all countries will probably negotiate bitcoin to become a fixed currency at a controlled price

I don't know whether Bitcoin can reach that big level in the future. But I have zero doubt about Bitcoin to continue to grow as long as the adoption continues. I always say that it will continue to grow as long as demand exists.

Bitcoin has the capacity to change the world economy yet I figure it will influence awful on us.
I know there are numerous advantages of bitcoin yet we can not avoid the fact that it is using illegally in many areas.
Banks can follow the fiat exchange however not for crypto, which means it's become hard to follow who is utilizing the crypto.
I think bitcoin can only be good in the digital world and hope it won't replace the fiat else it can influence terrible on the economy.

It's the same because both of bitcoins and fiat posession is controlled by a group of rich people, but i think the people who holds fiat right now it's more powerful because they controlled the world economy already for a long time but bitcoin is just appeared this last 2 decades.
So i think bitcoin needs more community and their rich and powerful people have to join and promote cryptocurrency if bitcoin want to be a world power as the OP said. It's a very long journey to get there.

I agree with you. I believe that in the future Bitcoin will take itself to an impeccable height. Each country will gradually get the validity of Bitcoin. People will be more interested in trading in Bitcoin than in ordinary currency. It will be a lot more fun for all of us
But it is not about trading bitcoin is what this market needs for the adoption ,
instead it is the use of Bitcoin to become a currency like what EL Salvador does .

trading Bitcoin is making the coin more volatile and out of the context of the original plan as currency and this must be change , we must treat this coin as like for payments in daily basis so the circulation will continue and the volatility will change into our best interest .

How can it become a world power or some bullshit like that? It's decentralized and anyone can use it so I don't see how bitcoin will become that, it's not a nuke, a bioweapon or something that can cripple or destroy a country so how will it become a source of power?

Bitcoin as the main currency will certainly have many obstacles, this will require a lot of big adoption. whereas now adoption is only carried out by a few countries and Bitcoin is currently only a commodity asset or it can also be referred to as a sepculative asset.
To be a daily payment bitcoin still has a high volatility, it is still very risky.
The power of bitcoin is in the community and this community continues to grow and there are more and more Bitcoin users.

Bitcoin is becoming quite very popular in this age than in the last 5years. Even without the support of every government in every country still bitcoin has the support of every trader and investor in any country. I can see that the bitcoin will rule as a digital currency in the near future and having the support of a famous athletes and known business men like Elon Musk or Bill Gates and even world leaders in every county will have a huge effect on bitcoin.

Fiat currency can still be in use but because of the increasing rate of inflation, most of people will use digital currencies like bitcoin or eth.

Bitcoin is the most famous crypto asset...
But to a casual observer, a  non-deepcrypto enthusiast, there is no special significance behind it. They treat it like Crypto Gold.

Just an observation.

It is good that you imagine Bitcoin becoming the world currency but I don't think that it will ever happen in the future. There is no way for that. Because governments are not eager to accept a volatile cryptocurrency as their main currency. It is seen for especially the governments of big countries in the world. They don't want to trust a currency whose value changes all the time.

I think what you say is quite true. But instead of referring to Bitcoin as one of the world's powers, although there are still many countries that prohibit its use for transactions, indirectly through cryptocurrency trading and Bitcoin investment, some people become successful and suddenly rich. Of course this is a good thing to reduce poverty in the world. Bitcoin brings the economy of some people for the better, that's why I agree with you if it becomes part of the world's power.

Bitcoin or crypto wasnt created in the first place to replace out fiat currency even if it say so but it cant really be possible on making fiat to be extinct or wont exist at all.

World power? There's no such thing about being a world power if its decentralized. It is all for people who could make out transactions freely with having that transparency.

Adoption is moving and we could say that both fiat and crypto would exist in the future with having corresponding own functions.

I really want this to happen. I believe that one day we will pay everywhere using cryptocurrencies, as they are much safer and convenient for this. We don't have intermediaries such as banks and other payment systems. We interact directly with recipient, so nobody can stop and ban our transactions. But actually, governments can't let finances be out of control, as economics is one of the most important part of any country.

Let's not all be blown away by the promises of bitcoin and forget to see the truth. Bitcoin is no doubt a force in today's world,  but i bet any top government will officially endorse bitcoin without some hidden agenda . If in anyway bitcoin will be controlled by these people in the future, then there wouldn't be any need to clamour an era where bitcoin is internationally recognized and used

"bitcoin is not a physical cash, that doesn't stop anything".

I love this line from OP, and I think we all agree. Bitcoin is unstoppable and every day it grows stronger due to the support of the whole world, when a massive adoption occurs we will see bitcoin in our daily lives, just as we are concerned about knowing the price of the US dollar, euro and other currencies on a daily basis. The same way will also happen with the price of bitcoin.

Nothing can stop Bitcoin's popularity and its value. It is evident that bitcoin is getting closer to the life of this world, more people/companies have a strong attachment to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency nowadays. The power of Bitcoin/crypto has indeed been proven to be able to embrace the world in more advanced technology and profitable direction on all sides of its advantages so far, especially in terms of helping humans.

Bitcoin is a new cryptocurrency that has the ability and power to affect the world economy. It is a unique currency system that has attracted the business community and the person of all ages. It has involved all classes of people in its trade may be high-level businessmen, middle class, or poor. It has the potential to change the life of people. So it should say that it has proved itself like a world power.

it would be wonderful if all the governments of the world agreed with bitcoin and adopted it but it can't be easy because governments are controlled by banks and it's been happening for hundreds of years.  banks will expend every effort to get governments in their respective countries to reject bitcoin which is actually disrupting their billion-dollar business.

The most impossible thing to happen because it cant really be done on which all government would share up on the same goal or mindset or would agree specially on dealing with decentralized things.

Its evident that we are really even struggling due to regulation and bans but at least we do able to breath despite of these conditions.

For now we cant make out some conclusions whether we would go full scale or would be on partial at least.

For the crypto currency market user's and trader's it is the sign of power in the crypto market. But in the real world it can't because the Bitcoin will make a disaster in the poor people lives . Everyone knows that Bitcoin is decentralized and government can't control this . And this is the opportunity for the black money holder to transfer there Black money into the white money.  Which is a threat to every country . So many countries banned it . And many countries want to regularize .
.
