Title: [ANN] [AFREUM] Afreum combines international DeFI with Africa Transactions; Yiel
Post by: Afreum on November 12, 2020, 10:53:11 PM
Afreum is building a new payments  ecosystem on the Stellar blockchain. Powered by AFREUM (AFR), AFREUM (AFRX), and AFREUM LOCAL country tokens, the Afreum ecosystem provides new opportunities for DeFi staking and liquidity mining for crypto enthusiasts, while powering the next generation of fast, inexpensive transactions, and payments for African users.

From November 1-November 31, 2020 Afreum is holding a PRE-SALE of AFR tokens at a 50% discount. After November, and prior to launch in early January, it is also possible to acquire AFR at a 30% discount to launch price. AFR HODLers will be able to stake tokens in the Afreum ecosystem to earn a share of  TRANSACTION FEES, and receive FREE AFRX tokens. Pre-Sale tokens are also instantly tradeable via Stellar Exchange clients such as Stellerterm.com, Stellarport.io, Intersteller.exchange, and StellerX.com, plus the Afreum Wallet at launch.

Now this is more good looking compare to your first post. Your first post could be a good content on your medium. I wish you good luck on this project. Not really a fan of Stellar blockchain but will try to comeback to check the progress of Afreum.

I like that token holders will be able to access payments, remittances, savings, micro-loans, mobile minutes and much more with AFR and AFRX

The short answer is we are building an ecosystem of DAPPs designed specifically for Africa with over 50 stablecoins and utility coins covering all the countries in Africa. In some countries Afreum coins will be a viable alternative.to local currency.

"Afreum is building the ecosystem that will define the future of blockchain and decentralized transactions in Africa" - so what exactly does this words means, how one project can define the future of blockchain in the whole country?

So, like I'm saying on the other thread of yours, allow me to move them here for everybody's consumption, which you confirmed were a press release, which media was it?

This is a press release. Sorry if posted on the wrong thread. As I said, new to Bitcointalk. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

First of all, I'll assume and act like this is your official ANN, so I'll give my questions on this thread and not the other two that you also have.

With that being said, what I wanted to know first is, were this article-like post really coming from an article, or was it just your... rather strange... style to attract people's interest? If it's the former, where is the source of the article, if it's the later... simply why? I can't even put myself to read all of them.

Sure, you can move everything to the [ANN] topic. Sorry for the inconvenience. The press release was published on a number of PR sites. Here are some links:

Oh, it was your own medium? LOL, my apology, I thought it was a press media covered by some third party, like cointelegraph or something. Next, I understand correctly that your project was focused and built for Africa and people who lives on the continent?

It's built for two sets of people. For international users It's a staking and yield farming platform. African users will mostly use the apps for daily transactions such as transfers, payments, remittances, savings, loans etc. Afreum is for everyone, really depends on yoyr use case.

This is what I wanted to hear. You do aware about the existence of another coin, endorsed and created by a well known public figure, with same (if not better, since they build their very own city in harmony with the coin) feature?

Yeah, we know about Akoin and wish them continued success. Our approaches are different. They are building a city, we are building an ecosystem of apps to support crypto transactions across Africa. Both these approaches are good for Africa, and good for the crypto community at large.

And don't forget our local country stablecoins, almost 40 of them. We call them AXXX tokens. The XXX being a placeholder for thw three-letter country codes.

It is interesting that Afreum Ecosystem works with multiple tokens - AFREUM (AFR), the main token used for international transactions and AFREUM X (AFRX), the incentives and governance token

Can you divulge more on how different you are? They build a city, true, but that doesn't necessarily means the token can only be used on the city, the token also works worldwide as far as I know, for remmitance as well as other crypto basics

Our focus is on building innovative crypto applications that foster digital inclusion, remove friction, and incentivize participation. In the next few weeks we launch the Afreum Wallet and all will be clear. Things like subsidized transaction fees, low interest rate micro loans, online job opportunities for Africa's youth or anyone with a mobile phone, financial education etc. etc. Akoin and Afreum are both built on Stellar. I think our focus on the unbanked, and our ability to innovate in the space, is the main difference. Both approaches are needed. I am not a mega entertainment star but I have been in the Internet space since 1995, and launched some forward-thinking companies, and I am African. Stay tuned!

That's what I wanted to know: what is your competitive advantage against them? You both runs on the same country, same concept, same feature, etc. So far they have a city and a well known face as their advantage, although their ann thread somehow didn't reflect this popularity as it was very quiet. Nonetheless, how will you compete against them?

Afreum Walltet launches end of this year with phase one apps such as savings, remittances, loans etc. coming soon after. We have a pretty huge roadmap, which includes things like SMS wallet and so on.

Afreum Wallet and some core features such as sending and receiving, savings, staking and onboarding/offboarding plus P2P fiat/crypto swaps end of year. Africans and international users (Staking, Airdrops etc.) can use as soon as Wallet is launched.
