Title: MyCrypto addresses overflow
Post by: JohnnySit on November 14, 2020, 03:58:41 PM
Hi there!
I have seed-phrase of ETC wallet that has ALOT of addresses (more than 200)
and each time MyCrypto asked me to chose just 1 address to log into

I just want to know if any address has a balance of ETC how can I do that without scrolling endlessly to the next page and wait for the balance to refresh?
Is there any other program I can use or a website with my seed-phrase?

Thanks!

I think there are no tools or websites to use a seed phrase to check all address balances and I think it's not safe if you are going to import the seed phrase to unknown website or tools.

Why don't you just consolidate/combine all balances from your wallet?

If you combine all your balances you do not need to scroll down to find only the address with the balance.

Anyway, can you tell us if what wallet you currently using? There might be other wallet that lets you see only total balance of your wallet.

I don't have much knowledge about ETC but I think you can try Metamask.

I must admit I did not really understand your question fully. Usually, if you do put in the seed phrase in a new wallet, only addresses are shown which have balance and addresses which are empty and unused.

I've dealt with this problem but it is with MEW because it shows a lot of addresses and it's unclear which I have the address that has a balance. And when I've used mycrypto and have used the same access, it just automatically showed the wallet that I have a token balance. I don't know why it's like that with yours. Maybe try the same method I've used.

how can I do that
You can send all your balance to 1 main address. First select the wallet for your main address, example (Wallet1) then all balance of the other wallet (199 the rest) sent to Wallet1 and if your wallet zero balance you can forget it and focus to your main wallet Wallet1

1 wallet address is enough, why do you keep 200 wallet addresses ??

did not understood you, which wallet do you use
you can check your balance on block-chain explorer, and write down only address that have balance different to zero - and you can count out all that have zero balance
