LTC is considered to be the silver of Bitcoin, where do you see the LTC price next to bitcoin in the future? I think it will hit $256 at the end of this year

How did you come up with that exact number? As of now I think it's too long before it may happen and with the Ethereum 2.0 I think it will overshadow and I think the Ethereum price will increase more rather than LTC anyway who could be their child? Ethereum?

Ethereum is the correct word and you need to include it.Which should be replaced in your statement .Litecoin is good coin as like a bitcoin and Ethereum, but it was next to ethereum and wife position should given to ETH.

So, not that close to the last ATH (340$)? 256, that's an oddly precise yet safe price target, a bit too safe imo

I can easily see LTC and many other alts reach their ATH, and even go way past it, this year should the altcoin season kick off soon and the BTC uptrend continues, of couse. I'm saying this because the last time altcoins skyrocket was in December 2017, and given that BTC is already in a bull run right now, I think there's a good chance we see alts taking off to the moon very soon

;D so you mean to say that wife born later and the kid born before? Did you know the history of litecoin? did you ever consider the relation between litecoin and bitcoin? Silver and Gold could be husband and wife but not a corbon like ethereum can replace anyone. It is still single. Find someone for her.    :-\  >:(

You should at least putting up some charting or technical analysis towards your prediction.I had seen many times of your similar thread about speculation on where
you do say about possible prices but without any basis which would really lead into pure speculative and you do make your readers see this as a generic post without any basis.

Also, why the heck Bitcoin need some wife? It might be the silver but doesnt mean that it will really be going behind with bitcoin.Total marketcap would be the basis for this time
even though it is old and next to bitcoin when it was created it doesnt mean  that it will follow its success.

Lets see on what would happen on this one.

I personally think that LTC is not even a silver. It's only an experimental protocol for bitcoin. Any solutions for bitcoin blockchain must be used by litecoin to test whether such protocol can be implemented on bitcoin or not. This is happened so many times especially when segwit was getting tested on litecoin.
Litecoin was the first coin that implement the segwit solution to fix the scalability problem. It's about wife and husband. In fundamental view litecoin was only following the bitcoin chart or it becomes a lite version of bitcoin.

I think most top altcoin also follow Bitcoin these days, but not too much compare with Bitcoin and what happened last bull run when we able to create an all-time-high before.
It's totally different now, example;
Bitcoin ATH = Around $20,000
Litecon ATH = Around $375
Ethereum ATH = Around $1400.

Look at the difference, we are around $3,000(11%), to reach the previous all-time-high on Bitcoin.
But look at the altcoins mentioned above, it's still far, like for Litecoin around -80% and for Ethereum around -60%.

I hope it will happen in the next bull run. Litecoin price even not increase so high now, and perhaps, litecoin needs more time to grow. But litecoin still too far to reach $256 at the end of this year, but if there is a pump that can make litecoin break $100, $150, $200 in a short time, litecoin will have a chance to break $256. Until that time, we can buy more litecoin and hold it, so if the price can have the moment to get a pump, we can have a chance to make a profit later. But with the bitcoin price is not stable now, I am not sure if the litecoin price can break $100. Even to break $90, it will still need more time.

Actually,,, I believe Charlie Lee himself always used to refer to Litecoin as the cousin or little brother of Bitcoin. The developers are friendly with each other and it was never a mean spirited competition. LTC is still so similar to BTC it provides the perfect testing ground for segwit and atomic swaps and all that jazz;)

$256? Why not $500?;)

before ETH came, LTC was like husband and wife with BTC, but unfortunately after ETH and others came it seemed as if they were divorced, unlike before a few years ago when bitcoin prices went up LTC also went up, now we know LTC is much slower in development even today BTC and ETH are like husband and wife, it sounds strange

I highly think that litecoin lost that silver place long time ago. It used to be like that back in the day but looking at the current situation we could easily say that etherum took that place loooong ago, like years ago and right now it is not even close to each other.

What you think bitcoin and litecoin is actually what bitcoin and ethereum is today. Which means ethereum price shows that 256 is nothing important at all for "silver to bitcoins gold" because it is already close to 500 dollars anyway. Litecoin on the other hand lost its value and its place long time ago because it had the chance to improve beyond what bitcoin tech could with a rapid pace but it declined and only improved a tiny with and got filled with a lot of problems and troubles that caused it to go down.

Your prediction is very exact how you predict that price? Anyway I like the litecoin also and it is one my favroite altcoins .
I already have this coins since last few years ago and I really like to hold and buy this coin upto this now and I hope more coins will become promising coin like the litecoin. This year hundred dollars is enough to me but if it can reach more than that is is good.

Yes, I also found Litecoin's mechanism of action to be very similar to Bitcoin. But it certainly cannot be equal to Bitcoin even though Litecoin's technology is better, since Litecoin has a regulator and Bitcoin is not.
So Bitcoin is considered as Digital Gold, and this makes Bitcoin different and stronger than Litecoin even though both have gone through the Halving. I still believe that Litecoin is still a copy and it won't be able to grow 500% later this year. It may only increase by about 50% this year as Bitcoin's growth will drag the top coins along. ;)

Actually people choose the wife with some quality and not purely based on the birth.Ethereum is best coin with countless investors and most of token transaction is need of Ethereum for gas.So wife should be worthy and Ethereum is worth than litecoin for sure.

why should Litecoin? I feel that Litecoin is not a relationship with Bitcoin,
although the increase is natural because the Chart shows good things, so traders enter LTC,
which is the relationship in my opinion is Ethereum and always Ethereum

LTC cant be consider to be the silver of Bitcoin nor did it follow the price of the Bitcoin market because LTC has lost it position in the cryptocurrency market ever since Charlie publicly announced he sold all his holding and the only thing that's helping the coin now are the new features (lightning etc) that were integrated into the LTC blockchain.
With that been said, the only coin that always follows the Bitcoin market in the bullish season is ETH but i still expect LTC to gain new ATH when bullish take over the market.

I mean, the mining system and the technology of Bitcoin and Litecoin are very similar. Both use PoW technology to do the mining and they also have a Halving mechanism. But only regret that Litecoin is a later project so surely cannot capture a large share of the Crypto market, they may have to wait until Bitcoin runs out of supply before Litecoin can become useful later.

i agree with you if litecoin is digital silver and bitcoin is digital gold, not as husband and wife
because both alt never married and didn't have a child right ?  ;D
and my predictions litecoin price will grow between $130 - $150 in this year my friend, not more

I understand that you may think that litecoin was created earlier so because of that it should be before ethereum in discussions as well but we could always say something like "bitcoin divorced litecoin and married ethereum later" if you want to keep up with the analogy.

Ethereum is not the kid at all, it is the new sexy chick in the market and that is why all eyes are on ethereum as well and it became very valuable as well. So right now, bitcoin is "married" to ethereum and not litecoin, you are right that it was married to litecoin back in the day but they are no longer a couple. This analogy feels a bit weird though :D.

Usually people pick like gold to silver type of examples for these kinds of things because that makes more sense, this is a bit weirder to say.

silver of Bitcoin ? I don't know what does that mean . Why not say LTC was like a silver in the real world while Bitcoin is like the gold , that was more fine to read :)

That's what I heard , LTC has a solid relation with btc but most of us don't know that yet for sure because that was not noticeable . If people think that there are crypto that was close to btc , that was only BCH or it can also be etherium  .

I just check the litecoins value out of curiousity and saw that it passes already to over 50 usd . The last time I check it was only 50 usd , LTC can go along way and can reach your desired price in the later stages .

Litecoin is not like a wife to Bitcoin, Litecoin is a kind of silver, and Bitcoin is Gold,
if we compare it then it is clear that these two coins have their own specials,
and LTC does not follow Bitcoin prices, but Litecoin follows dominance altcoins,
$256 maybe reached if Altcoin season has to come

The success of any project in this space depends on how good and acceptable your story his, tech comes second. Litecoin positioned itself as the Silver to Bitcoin, it doesn't have to do anything, just keep telling this story until people believe it. There are many better projects in the space that are dead because of lack of story line

Not so fast. The year is about to end and it hasn't even reached half of that price. $100-$150 is what I can see for the price of LTC.
But $256 looks high, to be honest. We've got only 1 month left and that's possible for it to be reached but if it ever reaches $200, that's possible to be seen.
The word is 'only if' it reaches $200.

I have no idea how did you get $256 but the potential of LTC was huge before Charlie Lee(owner of the project) has announced that he sold his entire portfolio and dumped to the investors. After a tweet, everyone has joined the Lee and the price has dipped more, IIRC. Don't be like Charlie and play responsibly. The Litecoin price has been dumped intentionally and this was my biggest palm face after checking the reasons why Litecoin price has been dumped so much after a long time bullish trend during 2018.

And are there really developments going on now with LTC? I know I've heard some rumours that there is no development going on but with the inclusion of LTC in PayPal's crypto list, I guess the current LTC developers will have inspiration to push thru their planned items here.

In first cycle it was 0.04 BTC in second cycle it was 0.02 BTC. I guess now in third cycle when alt coin season hits it will be 0.01 BTC.   so if Bitcoin will be $100k, that will give us a $1000 Litecoin.

There are many who compare the relationship between Bitcoin and Litecoin, some mention husband and wife or gold and silver.
Even though in my opinion there is no connection between Bitcoin and Litecoin, because they both move based on supply and
demand, the same as any other cryptocurrency.

Then for your prediction that Litecoin will hit a price of $ 256 later this year seems unlikely, because the end of the year is only
one month away, and it is too far away from the rising price of Litecoin to pursue. While the current price is still at $ 80, it might
be more realistic that Litecoin will hit $ 100 later this year.

how long it will achieved ? i think first target on $145 must achieved before its rally to another level. we will see what happen when litecoin could reach it ? $1000 was still very far from current price on around $86 , maybe its more realistic to achieved next year when cryptocurrency market in very strong bullish.  we still in start phase on bullish movement and market look confidence now.

Well number is if both with be at ATH together, but LTC will reach its btc ATH after Bitcoin. So number will be most likely below $1000. It will take a year or two years.

In the begging it was considered as a silver to bitcoin and it was fun but then when the rest of the coins started coming out it took a back seat. In the past few weeks the price started to rise along with the rest of the alts in the market but for the coin to reach $256 is a tough task. I would be happy to see LTC touching $100 and i am curious to know how long it can rally.

Why would you assume that when bitcoin goes up, there won't be another fall for litecoin as well. I think if bitcoin becomes 100k, that would make litecoin 500 dollars at most and nothing more. While having ethereum at 2-3k levels during the same period, or maybe as much as 5k as well.

Litecoin had one thing working for it and they stopped that which causes all of this problems, litecoins greatness came from doing all the blockchain developments before bitcoin and when litecoin improved its blockchain one way, bitcoin foundation saw that and tried to implement the same and when it was loved in consensus and everyone used it, people simply moved bitcoin towards that direction, so litecoin lead the development process. Now everyone does something great to blockchain, so litecoin became not much needed.
