Title: Scam website asicminersale.com review
Post by: btc1mill on November 20, 2020, 03:38:55 PM
What happened:
I saw their ad on google and clicked. The website itself looked good and promising. They offer really low prices, I wasn't really sure what to think.
I searched for feedback on them, but couldn't find any, neither good or bad. They have some videos on their website of "their stock" which convinced me at the moment, which I later found out were stolen from other websites and sellers.

They claim to deliver within 7 - 10 working days from the time of payment, but it has been far more. The worst thing is I have lost communication with them. They don't reply to my emails anymore and nobody answers their phone number. Their address doesn't look promising either, and I don't know whether I should go there and pay them a visit or not.

The amount of money which I sent isn't little at all. please someone advise me what to do next. I am really worried.

Thanks for this review of asicminersale.com !
I have been in their website and its really looking good but after your topic i will never order from them because i made my research and saw good and bad reviews for them most of the bad was for losing contacts and for not receiving the ordered item.

Feeling sorry that you lost your money to online scammers  :'(  I hope it doesn't happen to you again.

What happened:
I saw their ad on google and clicked.
Not a good way to get services online. Most of the websites that are advertised are scams. Legit websites with great reputation have no time to advertise. Use ad blockers like uBlock Origin to avoid such ads from appearing in your search results

The website itself looked good and promising. They offer really low prices, I wasn't really sure what to think.
Again, not a good basis of determining if the website is legit. The lower prices such have been red flag number 2

If you sent money through Bitcoin, it's less likely you will ever recover it. The addresses are all other contact information are obviously fake

Well, I have learned my lesson, but hope to at least help other people with intent of buying from them.
I am glad that you pointed out the flags that people should look for.

Another thing I can say about them is that they write their own fake reviews. Here is the proof https://ibb.co/KsgFYpL . Two exact same reviews with different names, can't be a coincidence. I just hope people are cautious and make their research before they buy anything.

The scammer is very lazy to create new reviews with another words LOL, I'd expect he have another or tons scam sites. Even though the review is different on each users, that's doesn't mean it's legit too.

That's why it's better to buy trough manufacturers to prevent from getting scammed (e.g. Bitmain [1])

Its nothing new and you can't expect nothing more from them. When a specific platform is running their activities to make miners fool then its pretty much clear that they will use every possible ways to make you believe that they are providing honest service. Its a big mistake to purchase mining equipments from a site like this just by seeing some positive reviews which actually are selfmade.

I don’t think they will make any response from their end and waiting for them is just waste of time IMO.

Their address is clearly fake, you should try your best to find their official office (which most likely doesn't). There is no advice unless you hire a cyber detective you know well to uncover the person behind this scam, and even then you have to pay a fee.
Scammers today are willing to pay for advertising to make it look legitimate. Unfortunately, google has weak auditing standards to detect fake services. You should avoid any products or services that are advertised by google going forward.

Use this address and send to all exchanges that exist to find out who is he.
You will have a chance to find the scammer.

I asked him today. He told me that if his company doesn't ship out the goods. The Coinbase will not release the money to him. Is it correct?

He's lying, Bitcoin transactions are irreversible once confirmed. If you send him the Bitcoins from coinbase or any other wallet, the transaction will first have to be confirmed in order for him to be sure that he has received the money. At that point there is barely anything you can do to recover the money.

Don't send them money, they are already proven scammers.
