This looks like pure scam, at least the best they could do is provide you with information as to why they disabled you from making a withdrawal. Blocking or not responding to you only removes doubt about their shady scheme.

Out of curiosity, what made you to use this exchange? How did you discover them?
Because this is the first time I have heard about them despite being an active trader for 3 years +

I learned about this exchange from coingecko, it is also on coinmarketcap. I don't understand why this scam is still on the list of these sites, because it is through them that users learn about these scammers ... what prompted me to take advantage of the fact that there are many little-known coins, some of which are promising. To be honest, I liked the exchange itself until I faced the issue of withdrawal. As it turned out later, the problems with the withdrawal on this exchange began a long time ago - they reset their balances by taking coins for themselves that are removed from the exchange. My mistake is that I brought a large amount for me to this exchange, which I should have looked for information about first. I realize that it is my own fault for not reading the reviews about this exchanger before depositing funds. It is necessary that people know that altmarkets is a scam! and were not deceived like me and many others. Therefore, I urge you not to deposit money there, but if someone already has a deposit there, then withdraw it as quickly as possible, if, of course, you are allowed to do so. Be careful when choosing exchanger.

Can both of you add some evidence to back up your claims? It'll help when it comes to tagging their representative in here [Altmarkets (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2387348)]...
- Kindly use this "format (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0)" for updating your posts.

How did you discover them?
Looks like they do have an "announcement thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5101680.0)" in here but it's locked at the moment.

These scammers are testing the V2 exchange. I think they will close all accounts of the old version, and as if nothing had happened, they will continue to deceive further.

I almost missed noticing your updated images and on those notes, I'm going to tag their representative in here but in your "withdraw history SS", it's not clear if it belongs to their platform [you might want to upload a better SS that shows also the URL while censoring other important information for privacy].

I can confirm - Altmarkets started to scam users. Users are reporting about frozen BTC withdrawals in different channels.
For example, this user reported in my group, that he is waiting for his ~0.1 BTC from 29 of October 2020.
https://i.imgur.com/x26y8xg.png

Their discord is fulfilled with the users asking about pending withdrawals.

Altmarkets continues to lock users accounts on exchange and then ban them in official discord, too:

Another frozen 0.03569 BTC withdrawal from a member of my group. Processing from 2020-10-19.

So, Altmarkets started to freeze all decent amounts of BTC in withdrawals.

Don't trade at Altmarkets, don't list your projects there - you will get in the trap with BTC-withdrawal.

I login today after few months and found my money gone and my account history gone. I tried to withdraw before and saw that their fees are so high and the withdraw rate was so high which was alarming to me. I added almost 3 dollars to test their site so it's a good thing i didnt add more.

Hello, don't use Altmarkets, they will block your account and will exit you from their forums. My account was blocked already in 2019, had there about 0.5 BTC, trying to get it back but ...

I have had many conversations with Wheeler, he has a great imagination and find excuse after excuse why my account is blocked etc.

If you like I can copy some of the conversation here at the forum, it is enjoyable to read.

Although you don't provide any evidence to shows that the exchange in the subject did block your account in other to scam just like user Slavacoin did but you shouldn't have used an exchange site you cant entrust your fund with and from the record this exchange was live in the year 2019 and I was surprised you don't choose well reputable exchange instead of using exchange with a cheap template.
Having said that, from your statement I don't you can get your fund back.

pff.. I think if you know Altmarkets and you see the printscreens you can recognize and read and see that I have there 0.4 BTC pending. But ok, the more important thing is; how do we get our money back!

So how can we find this wheeler? is there some whiz kid who can track him? and open my account?
In my account I have about 0.4 BTC and about 400K Doge but probably much more Doge because in that time I was trading with mlns of Doge.
In 2019 it was about 3k euro but now this will be more than 40K euro? Maybe somebody is interesing to help and get a %?

Please do so and place them inside the open/close code tags from the above toolbar [in the 2nd row, it's the 3rd one from right].

pff.. I think if you know Altmarkets and you see the printscreens you can recognize and read and see that I have there 0.4 BTC pending.
I had to zoom in up to 300% just to be able to read it and you're right [all three are pending with the last one being in the rejected state].

Honestly, I don't think you have a realistic chance of recovering those funds or finding someone that could open your account but maybe a company like "Chainalysis (https://www.chainalysis.com/)" could come in handy...
- Having said that, I'm not sure if they'll entertain individuals but it's worth a shot.

Hello,
I think you are right, the change to get my funds back are not that big, but in the time that my account was locket the BTC was about 6K now it is almost 50K, so wait for some time and it will be really interesting to find this Wheeler ;D.

This exchange should not be listing ETH as its first funding currency (eg here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5101680.0).

ETH withdrawals have been disabled for weeks.  Vague "market" reasons given.  There are no remotely liquid ETH markets on either its v1 or v2 sites.

How will you return the ETH? Make it something I can tweet positively about dude.

I'm sorry to hear that... The only person who has tried to track them from this thread was @pieter123 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5291764.msg56356815#msg56356815) but for some reason, he didn't post any updates and that was also the last time he logged into his account.

What I saw is that the AltMarkets Exchange accounts on social media have become deserted, as their last updates were from 2021 to 2022. It is worth noting that you were not the only one who lost his BTC in this unknown scam exchange, as there was a recent review dated December 2023 by one of the customers on Trustpilot stating that they scammed him for 0.2 BTC and banned him from Discord when he complained. Your loss saddened me, and I hope you do enough research the next time you use any exchange platform, as these are the most reputable and well-known platforms in the market, making them safe options for you.

i remember using this exchange back then in 2020 - 2021, never had any issues, should have made a little research before using it again, i still see some token buy/sell orders inside, so probably there still are ppl who havent realized they've been scammed.
hopefully someone could track them down.

They are probably selectively scamming, so some people haven't realized yet. Sorry for your loss.
I am going to tag and try to flag their forum account. Hopefully this deters some users from using the scam exchange after seeing the warning banner once they visit their forum threads.

Hello, Is good to see some activity in the chat again. Unfortunately to see that Altmarkets is still able to scam people. I did several actions for helping me to find these Altmarket scammers. Most replies I got were like, "Thanks for your request, we will .." and no further action. Also not from https://www.chainalysis.com. I'm still hoping somebody post in this chat a brilliant idea how to get our crypto back. But also please post if you have been scammed, the bigger the group the stronger we can be.
