Title: Cheapest SBC to use as staking box?
Post by: Abiky on November 21, 2020, 09:32:52 PM
Do you happen to know which are the cheapest SBC (single board computer) out there that are able to stake cryptocurrencies efficiently? I've been using a Raspberry Pi 4 for quite some time now, but there are other alternatives such as the Banana Pi, Pine64, and Orange Pi. There are different models available each with their own specs and price tag.

Will a SBC with 512mb and a quad-core CPU be enough for staking crypto? If not, what are the minimum specs required for staking? I saw a $19 USD SBC called the "Orange Pi Zero 2" with an H616 chip. But I'm not sure if it'll be able to work as a staking box. Just want some advice in order to gift the SBC to a friend who's a crypto enthusiast like me.

Any help, suggestions, or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)
