Title: PC board requirements for gpu Post by: irfan_pak10 on November 22, 2020, 05:59:55 PM I have a few questions in my mind, I would like to know the answers from miners.
Which are the PC board's requirements and supply unit needed for these GPU's? 1. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 2. AMD Radeon VII 3. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti [is this board still recommended for eth mining?] - If you happen to know any link where I can find all such details regarding eth mining [keeping in mind as beginners] please do share here. Title: Re: PC board requirements for gpu Post by: rdluffy on November 22, 2020, 09:23:26 PM Do you want to run 3 of these cards in the same rig or just one?
You have to consider the power of your PC (Motherboard, CPU, Rams etc), probably 80w if it's a regular PC RTX 3080 will consume something like 240w, Radeon VII 200w, and 1080 TI 200w too These values above are with some tweaks to mining with less power consuming to become more efficient If you want to run just one, a 600w PSU Gold is enough to run, if you're talking about these 3 at the same time you'll need a 1000w PSU to be safe Things to consider: It's better to buy a good PSU, at least 80plus GOLD and run at 80% maximum power, with 5 or 10 years warranty Maybe you can buy a PSU with more power to have more space to upgrades or more GPUs in the future Title: Re: PC board requirements for gpu Post by: fmz89 on November 24, 2020, 03:26:45 PM I have a few questions in my mind, I would like to know the answers from miners. Rtx3000 series need pci4 motherboard for better connection, but pci3 still fine regardless the bandwidthWhich are the PC board's requirements and supply unit needed for these GPU's? 1. Those cards combine will pull around 800 watts when you count the rest of the rig. .8 x 24 = 19.6 20 kwatts a day at 10 cents = 2 dollars. This cards will do about 95 + 100 + 45 = 240 mh or about 7-8 usd so you clear around 5-6 usd a day if you have 10 cent power A used 1080ti is 300-350 a new 3080 is 800 or more a radeon Vii is hard to find and over 1000 so one of each = 2150 usd Title: Re: PC board requirements for gpu Post by: mak013 on November 27, 2020, 08:57:16 AM For ETH:
Motherboard and CPU - does not matter. RAM - 4GB is enough, PSU - 200Wt per one GPU, 50Wt - system, load PSU - 60-70%. So - 350Wt+ for 1 GPU and + 250Wt for next one. 6GPUs - 1.6KWt for example. For new algos: Motherboard - does not matter, CPU - i3(max), RAM - 8GB, PSU - 300Wt max per one GPU, 50Wt - system, load PSU - 60-70%. So - 450Wt+ for 1 GPU and + 350Wt for next one. 6GPUs - 2.2KWt for example. Corsair RM 1000x, HX1000 or EVGA 1000w SuperNOVA, are good examples that you could buy.

I know this site, where it simulates approximately how many watts you will need to use, in my opinion it is very useful.ps: use this site only to be able to rely on approximately how many watts you will use. https://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/ (https://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/) I hope I have been helpful Title: Re: PC board requirements for gpu Post by: irfan_pak10 on February 16, 2021, 03:08:02 PM Title: Re: PC board requirements for gpu Post by: Novatech8 on February 16, 2021, 03:18:17 PM Hi Irfan, is that for mining or what? If it's for mining it's way too much, you don't need a fast CPU since you are going to use GPU, also the 1tb hdd is too much, 120gb will do fine, instead try saving more money from CPU and go for RTX3060TI, also you only need 4-8gb RAM for mining

Don't go for gtx1080ti because it's more energy consuming unless you get them dirty cheap, any motherboard with enough PCIe slots will do just fine, also go for high power supply like 1000 watts, here are few good motherboards I've used and still working Which are the PC board's requirements and supply unit needed for these GPU's? 1. Forget the Radeon VII, it's a bad card, the biggest AMD failure of all time, error 43 code will eventually sneek unto the card and that's the end, many users had same experience so don't buy, I repeat don't buy, go for RTX cards and if you like AMD go for the RX5700, RX6800 etc Which are the PC board's requirements and supply unit needed for these GPU's? 1. Wow a legendary member who know nothing about crypto mining, I have to confess this is the first time I'm seeing such, welcome to the game brother, you don't need high CPU, infact go with the cheapest and also RAM stick don't have to be big too, 4gb ram is enough I believe, focus more on what GPU you want to get and also power supply Which are the PC board's requirements and supply unit needed for these GPU's? 1.
