I'd say highest price every year, not all-time high every year because its market value is still not surpassing the true ATH, and if this year will allow such thing to happen, this year could again make history.
This topic is again being quite noisy as the market value is getting close to the $20k mark. I could say that we are already in the bullish market since other cryptos such as ETH are also having high rate of increase in their market value, which was also seen before when ATH achieved.

It is superb cool to help you see how news are used.  ;)

Overlaying price moves with news can be fascinating, however in your analysis we need more information. Some of the news you reference is clearly not a driver of bitcoin price.

For example, News item #149 is about the Indian Supreme Court Lifting a Ban on Bitcoin Trading and it precedes a fall of the Bitcoin price from $8,767 to $4,194 within one week's time.

The news you've selected to highlight isn't an explanation for the price movements. This looks like a cool early draft, you should do some more work to find the news that actually may have driven price movements during this timeframe.

-----

And in the spirit of providing a peer review for you, i'd consider removing or changing the following:
  • #150 "Bitcoin loses half its value in two-day plunge" doesn't explain why the plunge occurred or any price movement going forward
  • #153 "MSFT Patents new cryptocurrency"...are you implying this caused the drop a few days after?
  • #157 "Billionaire Paul Tudor Jones buys bitcoin"...price then drops 1000 points, do you think that effect is correlated to Jones buy?
  • Reformat the hover over information so you can actually read all of the article headline, it's currently getting cut off when the text runs farther than the width of the chart pane..."wrap text" would do it
  • Links to each article would be ideal so one can read about this historical item, once you've verified that the article is worthy

I'd say highest price every year, not all-time high every year because its market value is still not surpassing the true ATH, and if this year will allow such thing to happen, this year could again make history.
I respected the creator and owner of that site and I kept their descriptions. That's it but you are always free to visit the site, use their information and interpret it with your own perspective.

I thought their description is true if you taking into consideration that all time high will be changed and lifted up over time. A new all time high is found today and a new ATH will be recorded tomorrow.

just the other day a friend came to me asking about some lie he had heard about how bitcoin is going to start dropping down to $1000 soon, in fact they had given him exact date and price :)

You are a good man but newbies don't mind it much and they are manipulated by news (their orders and emotions are up and down with news and obituaries).

< ... >
It is my appreciation to see your very detailed contributions. It seems you mis-thought that site is built and operated by me that is not. I brought the site here to help newbies have a wide view on the market history and effects of news. Validity of news are unknown and you need to verify them (as always in crypto, right?)

The bad visual display of the label box is known but I forgot to mention it in OP. Anyway thank you.

Your post is a good reminder for any coder who can build up a better site than this one. It is truly helpful for retrospective checking with price and news.

How about the highest price every year?
Stay tuned. I will give you a chart for bitcoin highest price over years but I believe it is better to look at lowest-yearly price. True intrinsic values are shown and verified in worst conditions, not best ones.

Funny. I don't know what is the news will be released but I knew it will appear. Here it comes with us. Is the news a root cause of the fall or only a coincidence with the correction?
