How does it work?

1. Log in to your CoinMarketCap account to participate in the prediction game, “When Will Bitcoin Hit $20,000?”

2. Bind your Binance account ID to your CoinMarketCap account.
*Please note that this address will be used to distribute your potential winnings.
**Each Binance account ID can ONLY be added to one CoinMarketCap account. Please make sure to use your own account ID accurately .

3. The time slots you can enter are hour-long time periods (e.g. November 21 5:00 - 6:00 AM UTC). The earliest time slot you can choose is 24 hours from when you participate.

4. You can ONLY enter up to three time slots. You are able to update the time slots any time before this event ends. If you update your time slots, your previous slots are deemed invalid.

5. The price of a BTC/USDT trading pair on Binance (shown in the chart below) will be used to track and determine the BTC price movement.

6. When the price of BTC/USDT on Binance hits $20,000 for the first time (“Event Trigger”), the date and the hour will be recorded as the winning time slot.

7. All users who predict correctly will be ranked based on the time they entered the time slots — which means you should start predicting right away! The reward structures are as follows:
1st place: $2,000 in BTC
2nd place: $1,500 in BTC
3rd place: $1,000 in BTC
All the other users who entered the winning time slot will share $5,500 in BTC evenly.

8. The prizes will be distributed to the Binance accounts of the winning participants within five working days after the completion of the event.

9. The event will end when either of the following happens first : 1) The date Bitcoin hits $20,000; 2) January 19, 2021 UTC

In addition can I ask if you need to be KYC verified before you can  claim your winnings ?. I have an account in binance but not yet verified is it ok to participate even your account is not verified?

According to rules, nothing mentioned about having verified account. Feel free to participate. I think you will need your account verified when you trade or withdraw daily over some particular limit, or want to make actions with fiat money.

This contest is organized by Coinmarketcap, so KYC is not required. The prize is paid to Binance address and withdrawal limit there is set to 2 BTC for every 24 hours.

we are more than $18,900 as of this moment so i assume as XRP investors are now coming back to Bitcoin maybe the sooner we will be hitting this value one more time and may record another highest price.

Im pretty sure bitcoin will reach 20,000$ by the end of this month and will continue to pump next month till next year, i guess bitcoin new ATH would be around 26,000$.

You are right, Tomorrow are day after tomorrow it will be reach 20k USD. Many investors are hold the BTC because of next peak is nearly waiting and I hope it will cross 22k USD soon. Many silent transaction are comes in the market so silent growth will possible on further days. All the peoples are jump in the XRP also so anything will occur on further days.

Absolutely correct, I have already participated very sure btc will break out 20k by the next 24hrs from now reason because the last increase with last 24 hrs was massive.

Dont be so sure about that,because remember we are making History here and i believe that it is not easy for Bitcoin to make another ATH just like that.

Almost each section of economics has this same question maybe because this is much awaited and some are being emotional when the price of Bitcoin steps $19,000 because this is just another step away to break the Old Highest value.
Meaning tomorrow before 7pm Bitcoin is surely 20k?lol who can say this and it will happen?remember that this is a volatile market and things may change without us being anticipated.

Ah that makes sense consider bitcoin can break 19k barrier and that needs a day only for bitcoin to did it. I might believe if 20k will be achieved around 28 or 27 consider there will bea  preparation for the market to be able to break 20k resistance.
Bitcoin will go even crazy when it has surpassed 20k. 20k may brokan in the next few days from now.

when alt market react or pump significantly its mean anticipated big moves on btc side

at this point retrace should happen near days, and some volatile will shifted new altseason when btc already sideways after ath

or next month if history repeat itself, new ath for btc and alt will bleed again for short term

This contest may seem easy, but it's not. Rather it is a difficult task to predict the price of cryptocurrency.  I hope this time Bitcoin will cross $20000. This event will end on Jan 19, 2021. I want to know if the bitcoin does not hit $20000 by this time, will the reward be distributed?

Yes. It is difficult to predict the hour of the event but even after that someone will definitely get 1st place.

If it's too easy, it will not be interesting. Predicting the right date is quite difficult, predicting the right hour is more difficult but there are many participants in the event, lucky people will appear.

Even if you are able to predict it and the chance for you to winning in this competition is very very small. Imagine MCAP has millions of users daily traffic and more than 10 percents of these people were registering into the competition and you have only a very small chance of winning the competition which was around 0.001%


It's not a difficult task to predict in hourly or daily timestamp but it's a very difficult thing to compete with hundreds of thousands of people or even millions of people.

Yeah! I can agree with you on this, coinmarketcap has millions of followers and users. So there is a high chance of failure. Nevertheless, don't lose hope you may still emerge a winner.

It could happen maybe in january next year. The latest drop that happens with bitcoin makes it quite difficult to reach the 20k rate very soon.

When 20k can be broken by bitcoin and it's so easy for bitcoin to achieve 26k or even more. People will be also pumping it even higher consider bitcoin has got a new bottom floor.
Another bump is happening again right now, bitcoin will be going back to the 19k in the next days.

All the hopes are being crushed because of the sudden dump, bitcoin, ethereum and some altcoins suddenly thier price goes down. I think bitcoin will hit again the price of 20,000$  by next year, as many will try to accumulate to be prepared on the next pump next year.

Why next year? are you feeling pessimistic about the dump that's happening with bitcoin right now? that doesn't make sense. After a long term growth that happened with bitcoin and that's just a usual thing to see the price of bitcoin was getting declined due to the correction. The pump will happen as soon as possible. Predicting when Bitcoin will hit $20,000 is the hardest thing to do. Even if  there are many signals out there. No one can ever tell when it will happen. But there is a high chance that Bitcoin can still that mark but it will take a long time.

Oh i almost lost the chance of joining because i have not checking whats new in Coinmarketcap but only the recent value of the coins i wanna check.

So if Bitcoin reach 20,000 then the Price in this event is Half  a bitcoin.

From the little experience am having I think as cryptocurrency markets have been edging up over the few weeks amid multiple sell-offs on the mainstream market, the crypto community has become even more bullish on the price of the major cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC). According to me I believe bitcoin will definitely hit 20k again before December ends.

It is almost there actually. The data show in CMC that Bitcoin has hit $19,845.98 USD  as the high price for 7 days. And now, the price is crashing. but, I believe that this is not the end of the bullish era. Will be the price pull back and start to go to the moon and reaching itas ATH? Anyone doesn't know about that caused by the market is full with uncertainty. The price of bitcoin can break 19100 right now but maybe in the next days it will be dumped back again to te below 18k.
It will be a very difficult thing to predict it dude. You must keep watch the market anytime. There are so many whales in bitcoin that can make your money became liquidated instantly.
it's only a suitable place for the big traders.

Assuming you are the winner or among the winners of the event and you need make withdrawal through your unverified binance account, i think you will only be able to withdraw the limit of an unverified account and not exceed that limit, this my just my assumption they may probably require kyc from winner(s) since it is an event and totally different from being a binance user.

Yeah you should watch the market closely so you will have idea when it will happen. Many give speculation that it can happen this year but it's looks like we are stocks in 19-17k and we will see more dump later if the market is not in favor in bull . Or maybe the last dump will happen today or next day no one can give exactly what will happen. Last day many says it will be at 21000$ but it failed to even break the 20k dollar prediction.

Bitcoin is almost touching 20k right now and we need only 500 to make bitcoin can surpass 20k. This will become a big bet for any bitcoin holders. What a coincidence if someone just guessed it out of almost the same date as 2017's ATH. The tab for "Bitcoin $20k" is still there. CMC would likely announce the winners soon or if they'll not disclose it, that's fine as long as there are lucky guys that have won the prediction.  :)

Bitcoin is not at 22.2k mark. and I can see CoinMarketcap removed that contest (prediction) page from home page. I've seen it in home page before whenever I visited coinmarketcap till yesterday. last night it reached to 20k and now it's 22.2K so coinmarketcap removed that page.
now they are probably in their checking process. and soon will announce the winners name. 3 lucky people have earned some good amount of bitcoins . congrats to the winners

Bitcoin has broken its all time high (ATH) price record $23,642.66 USD yesterday 17 December after 3 years long time. Many crypto enthusiastic  predicted on the contest for November but most of them they have failed. Bitcoin bullish trend is still ongoing. As contest ended, they will publish result soon.

Bitcoin is constantly gaining in value. It has passed $ 23000 today. It takes a lot of investment and therefore 2021 could be Bitcoin's year  ::)

It seems like it's fighting a hell of a lot of resistance at 23k. I'm actually kind of surprised, considering all the news recently about major companies finally jumping on the bandwagon and investing in it.

how many times btc corrected ? can you count it , im sure you cant . btc acted stable now but dont let it tricked you .btc looks so inocent but it can be deadly .
