Title: Mining system
Post by: WHMOB on November 24, 2020, 07:12:16 PM
I’m looking into a gpu rig for alt coins possibly eth. It has 6x gtx 1060’s he is asking $700 is that a reasonable price? He is saying they get about 24 etash/s each.

Is that 24 mh/s? And is it even worth investing in? I was going to offer $400.

Thanks

It`s nice price, but u need to test it for 5-10 minutes in mining or FurMark test. Yet, it must be 6GB memory GPUs, and it can give u about 24MH. My 1066 gives 23MH but this isnt maximum hashrate.
If u can get it for $400 - it would be great deal.

If you look at the prices in the video card market, then $ 100 for 1 GTX 1060 6 GB video card is a good price. If a ready-made farm is offered for $ 700, then this is a good price, but it all depends on the state of the video cards, because they can mine for 4 years.
144 mx will now give 5 dollars of profit per day, if you buy this farm for 500-600 dollars, it will be a good deal.
But be sure to check that you are not sold buggy hardware.

For 700$ it's still a good price, to build that rig separately will cost you more than that today, motherboard and other things like ram, risers etc will add more expenses so better buy at the price if the seller isn't ready to reduce the amount, just make sure you test the miner very well before paying

its definetly buy instead, if i got this pricce, assuming 1060 6gb for eth mining, even 3gb series has room for selling or mine other algo

4 months gets roi for this price, if eth still continue to climb 3 month, i'm guessing
