Title: {Warning}: New Fake Ledger Website
Post by: Baofeng on November 25, 2020, 05:11:35 PM
A new fake Ledger pops-up again, probably it's because of the Black Friday mania because of discounts.

Worst case scenario is hearing that another fall victim, as the email phishing is also ramping up, so if you received such email coming from below, ignore and delete the message.

Very confusing phishing attempt. Even I was confused before taking a deep look at the domain list. Yes, most probably scammers want to take advantage of Black Friday's offer. We need to be more careful when receiving mail with a few offers like black Friday. Usually, I do not click on any link if fund mail from suspicious sources. If I see that email is quite important, then I read the email address carefully and match it with the original sources. That's how I think we can reduce phishing attempts and save our money.

And it's pity for Ledger users as well, once their data has been gotten to the hands of this criminals, they will received a lot of emails with their real name in it and it's very scary. Black Friday is here so prepare for an avalanche of emails with discounts, so we need to be very careful, specially phishing emails coming from Ledger like this one.

Not the first time that we will see that criminals are going to take advantage of the email addresses they've got from Ledger company. If you are one of them, better forget that email address and create a fresh and new one. And expect this kind of phishing campaigns to be more sophisticated with elaborate concept to lure us, phishing emails, text message and other means they can.

How did you know about Fake Ledger Website? scam sites get traffic from Google or social media, I don't think they will get much information when using email because a lot of people know this old trick.

After obtaining the information from you, they may send you a wallet using black friday cheap price, but after modifying it so that they can obtain the private key and steal your money.

Scammers are waiting for every opportunity to take advantage of it. These domain names are designed to confuse inexperienced crypto users. They can easily confuse new users, mainly because newcomers don't know much about these scams. Because this phishing website was created only to steal the wallet information of crypto users. That's why all important websites links should be bookmarked. Because scammers are busy creating different types of phishing websites every day that they want to use to trap you.
