Title: Scam website selling ASIC miners jersey-electro.com review
Post by: Btc150k on November 26, 2020, 12:40:51 PM
Hello guys,
I recently stumbled upon a website called jersey-electro.com. They advertise themselves through Google ads.
At first there is nothing really suspicious because you land directly on the product page, but when I started to navigate through the website I started to notice strange things as "dummy text" in their footer. I noticed that there is no shop page and their products are listed on their homepage, as soon as I saw how much products they have I knew It was scam, they have uploaded only the most profitable sha-256 algorithm devices (3 miners).

I made an order and saw that they only accept Bitcoin as a payment method which is not entirely a sure reason to call them scammers, but it gives it away :D .They have also uploaded pictures of other payment methods on their footer to deceive customers. I tried to contact them on the phone, but it seems they have posted an invalid number. All their product information is copied directly from Bitmain's official website.

The website is clearly a scam and anyone with common sense can see that, but I decided to write this topic to inform the community because you never know, also their website seems to be under construction and they could make it more authentic in the future.

Stay safe and do your research!

So another red flag is that it is just fairly new maybe they are chasing to roll out their website in time for the Black Friday event to scam crypto users.

So you are talking about this site https://jersey-electro.com/backup/? just visited the site and it looks very poorly designed even they have not completed their footer page. but their live support responded to me in between 2-3 minutes. So curious to know did you tried to contact their support? Though it looks unprofessional but you may try if you need.

When you're reporting such cases, always try to "archive" their websites before they could changes something.

- Thanks to Google's cache, I was able to archive some of its pages:

  • This was probably their first fake template (taken on Nov 24, 2020 04:05:46 GMT) (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:NgsrAJYVmnoJ:https://jersey-electro.com/+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us)

  • This is the template that you mostly encountered (taken on Nov 24, 2020 18:32:20 GMT) (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:h4umT3--i6sJ:https://jersey-electro.com/shop/+&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us)

After checking the backup version of their "About Us (https://jersey-electro.com/backup/about-us/)" page, I found another red flag that they claimed being founded in 2017:
