Title: Localbitcoin.com is scam I lost 1.8 BTC
Post by: Bug_Fixer on November 27, 2020, 02:44:21 PM
Localbitcoin have stolen me 1.8 BTC.
They just locked my account, saying I exeded trading limit, what is not TRUE! The asked me to verify my account again.
They asked for a lot of documents that took me months to provide(you know, bank statement, bills and so on),
after several months I finally verified my acount. After it got verified And want to withdrawal my bitcoins, they instantly froze my account again(last year). I asked what is going on, and they said my account got locked because of unauthorized loging. What is totally non sense. Nonody knows my email nor have my 2FA code.

Since then once I verify, they ask me to verify again. Or they say I should upload it to another ticked, that is already closed. Then after reuploading it, they say its outaded. And need to to all over again. This game keeps going alredy 1 year.

I asked my friends and some of my friends expiereince the same and lost all their bitcoins.
I think its the same like child orphans, some kids gets abused, but not all of course. So some peoples knowing whats going on, but other peoples think child orphans are good and even donate money to those child molesting institutions.

I just clarify, that all bitcoins in my account was send in BTC(I did not purched through online trades). My Bitcoins comes from another LBC User, through Local metup. That time LBC suported local metup, now I think this option is not avilable anymore. Since its an internal transaction the BTC will transmitted instantly.

I deposit the BTC end of last year, then at the beginning of 2020 I want to sell it, but after I logged in the locked my account forever.

Does anybody know whow to get back my Bitcoins?

It's really bad and sorry for you. 1.8 bitcoin is not a little amount.  :'( . There are many such cases that have posted several times. I did not see this problem was solved if the user doesn't forget to get the update after resolved. Actually, we have nothing to do if the local bitcoin team doesn't release your fund.

* I will ask you to provide some information as proof that you have scammed that help us to get understand the situation easily.

The support team are psychopaths: They ask me to upload a picture with date, one I do it, they say, upload it on another ticket. Then in the other ticked they say the date is not right, once I retake the picture they say I should make all pictures again. Then once all pictures again, they say I already submitted, and then there is no response anymore. Once I asked whats going on they say, they only answer questions after verification and ask me retake all pictures again. The fool me alredy 1 years with this game.

In the recent time I also check their facebook site, every time peoples complain they get scammed by LBC. Account got freezed without reason.

Once you complain on their site they delete it and block you.

It's curious that a company like Localbitcoin / localbitcoins.com find it necessary to defraud people. After all, through their earnings model they already earn mountains of money through all those transactions that take place there every day. And I think that also involves large amounts with a high volume. If you have been really conned you could take steps but I think you always get the short straw on issues like that.
Since they save all data and you will then no longer have reference material when your account is closed.

They don't. They aren't usually involved in any sort of scam accusations without the accuser being faulty of something. Whatever mentioned in this post is OP's side of the story but you don't know if that's all accurate right?

@OP: There is nothing you can do here but just get in touch with their support again and try to sort things out. If you still think they're defrauding you, you can take legal actions against them. You've already submitted your KYC and stuff and they're a pretty legit exchange so your case will be taken seriously.

Well, there are lots of reports like what op had experienced, locking the account and asking KYC and other documents, some got resolve for months but a year is worst.

I'm afraid that their developer can't help your issue right now, an answer from customer support or the core team itself is the most important. Your BTC balance is almost doubled the $ amount right now, I'm sure this is one of their issues purposely not to resolve your issue, hope I'm wrong though.

If it were resolved in a few months, it would actually be a long time. since it involves quite a lot of money, you should perhaps be happy if it is settled in a few months.
A year would be a long time. And certainly also because you will undoubtedly have stress about the situation every day. Is quite a lot of money, 1.8 BTC

I never have encountered or seen someone to say the same thing you did. Can you please confirm the origin of your BTC? Any chance they might be illegal by any how and have broken any ToC of them? That would makes sense why your account has been freezed. Otherwise, there is no other reason for which account can be locked.

Hi. Were you able to unblock your Localbitcoins account? I can help you.
Really? it seems you just create the forum account to help OP. That's good a brand new account wants to help recover 1.8 BTC from local Bitcoin but you are not lucky enough. Because OP become inactive for a long time. Are you an official representative of Localbitcoin?

But yes, it was a nice try. I am not sure if OP come back on the forum, just keep in mind no one can help you without the official support of Localbitcoin. So don't being a scam again and don't trust anyone out of Localbitcoin support.

Hi. Were you able to unblock your Localbitcoins account? I can help you.
Trying to pull off a Bitcoin recovery scam by preying on the desperate state of the victims?

We are well aware of it. Nice try but nope. It's not going to work here.
