Just keep your email and you need nothing to do if you're switching to another email client.

Emails will remain there as long as you don't delete it.

or simply follow this --> https://support.google.com/mail/answer/6576?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

I often use outlook mail and it feels pretty good.
You can also refer to it here:

you can Use multiple Email account in Google or in Mobile that you are using, our Inbox are already archives so it is all safe there.

But Don't forget to add Security authentication so each time your account will be open it will be upon your notice.

Just click logout and keep your login credentials safe in your memory or in an offline drive. Your email keeps your inbox even spams forever unless you delete them, don't get panic and create a new email from tbe same e-mail client or different one.

You can download a complete archive of all your email messages (in zipped mbox format) for import into other email clients at Google Takeout (https://takeout.google.com/) (which also provides data for all other Google services; just deselect everything except Mail (and Contacts if you need to transfer those as well)).

Thank you all for your suggestions. I am using a trial version of Mail Backup X to archive my mails and now I'm thinking of buying this tool.

It has been said above that your email is already a place where to archive but if you are looking for place outside Email inbox then follow what Foxpup says as google now are offering extra space in which we can safe place our Mails, photos Videos and everything that connects with our Data.

Well i don't Know what's the purpose of Buying a Mail buckup when Google offers for free, though if that is more safer and private volt then Better use that because Google has no good reputation in handling our Data.
