For years I've heard of Ripple ripple ripple and the XRP XRP XRP army, seriously it's a very interesting and vocal community. I know people that are invested in XRP and literally no other cryptocurrencies. XRP flipping ETH is quite a big goal and achievement.. if achieved of course but is it actually possible? Is it realistic that XRP can surpass Ethereum? For years the XRP $589 number has been thrown around, let's also review if the Ripple XRP price prediction of $589 a coin is possible. Will the Flare Token airdrop take XRP to the moon or is the FLR XRP airdrop just another pump and dump??

Taking crypto into the next level of volatility, there is a possibility for any price. But if we take Math with its supply, I don't think that it will happen anytime soon or even the next 5-10 years. As long as Ethereum keeps on progressing, it will be harder for any altcoin to surpass it.
I can't think of anything that XRP can do to surpass Ethereum soon.

I do not think it's possible to reach ripple at this price in next 5-10 years. I can max think about 5-8 usd.

Dude xrp isn't the correct future investment coin. Trader use it as day trading low profit. It was used to be investment coin 3 years ago.

Every cryptocurrency in the market is getting updated regularly. XRP is now into a new token distribution. People are with big expectation as it is found to be a big update. Ethereum on the other side is at the verge of its ETH 2.0 updation. If one is getting updated and other lacks, then we can say the position on coinmarketcap gets replaced. Here the scenario is different and the same doesn't let XRP reach such a big price as stated.

thats a very very big leap for xrp in case. i will not say the price is impossible to reach for xrp because in crypto, everything is possible to happen. however, we need to check the reality here!
 xrp needs to surpass the $1 first, before we talk about its other upcoming price levels. but surpass eth? i dont think so.
even with combined flare airdrop and xrp partnerships will not reach that price level. the usage of eth is wider than xrp. dont get me wrong, i like xrp for transfer or payment purposes, because of the very economical fee and fast transaction you can get from this network but the application of it is not comparable to eth network.

Yes, this is possible if XRP's team decides to burn coins on par with Ethereum's supply. :)
I remember that in 2017 when the crypto market was in a bubble, a lot of financial experts predicted that XRP's price would soon reach $ 5 or $ 10 in 2017. But sadly, it was later. 3 years but the price of XRP is still lower than $ 1.
In a nutshell, never trust the interviews that financial experts predict about prices, they just make predictions and offer prices that no one thinks about. Even when they finished declaring it, they had no basis for their prediction.

That was such a long shot I cannot imagine XRP reaching $589 at the current market condition it's having a hard time getting pump even if it has a coming airdrop, maybe if they are going to burn the supply, that soon might not happen, it's just not going to happen at the current condition, Ethereum could be worth $30000 if XRP reaches $589, but why $589 what's with the digit.

I do not believe this is possible because the difference in the price between ETH and XRP is too large, although XRP is a very good altcoin and potential in the future, we also know ETH is very popular and popular. ETH $590.71 and XRP $0.583 are too different.

The title sounds euphoric but i do not think that xrp will be able to surpass ethereum in terms of value because there are a lot of factors that define price. Yes xrp has good potential to grow but not that much.

I believe that many users are involved in this information war by the Ripple developers themselves, since they are used to receiving good income from XRP holders, who fuel their interest in the coin due to such loud statements.

I did not even watch those videos or read those articles XRP has a coming airdrop but check the price it has a small pump but it stopped at 60 cents, what it can be possible do to make the price go to the moon and reach $589 with it's billion of supply and centralized feature, but on the positive side, Ripple is worth adding to your portfolio because of the profit that will be made.

Nothing is impossible to achieve if good preparation, confidence and commitment are put in place but that's not the case of XRP because it has no genuine essential and usefulness to the crypto communities which is the reason 98% of the community don't support it. Besides, it a high manipulated coin which will not clinch the $2 price range not to talk of surpassing ETH price but there's something i don't understand why is a lot of thread created these days about XRP bullish in the altcoin section?

How can one even think of such price for XRP, it is too much and hence it is impossible for XRP to achieve such price, not next year or even in the next 10 years; yes we know the crypto space can not be predicted, but even at that, we ought to know that it is very hard for some predictions to even work out when taking everything into consideration. Also, from another point of view, Ethereum is still retaining its position in coinmarketcap as well as being seen as the best altcoin because the team are always working on improving the platform, therefore with constant development it is definitely hard for any other altcoin to surpass it; the more other altcoins develop, the more Ethereum develop as well.

who made this analysis, I think he dreamed too much. I know many people who are optimistic, but this is the first time I have seen something like this. the price increase for XRP is bound to happen. but the price will not match that ethereum, because it is very unlikely. Anything possible can happen to the world of cryptocurrency, especially for coins like XRP. however, in terms of pricing, I'm not really sure that XRP will have a higher price than ethereum soon. we realize that increasing the price of XRP, for now, is also very difficult. although a lot of developments are going to happen, it should be a signal in the form of the XRP price that it will be easier to break the $ 1 price. however, even with that kind of information, the XRP price has remained stable below $ 1.

XRP has a lot more potential in its further growth but still, XRP can't surpass ETHEREUM ever. As long as it could reach up to $10 but it is never possible or imaginable to surpass ETHEREUM. Also as per the time, even ETH wouldn't stop growing so it is not going to happen anyway.

XRP had a great boost because of the snapshot that would occur in December 12 but I don't think that it could surpass ETH just by that event.

Calculate how much marketcap would it be when the price go to 10$ then back here and say it to us that we should believe that price analysis. The only possible scenario is to beat ethereum in total marketcap not in prices.

While I dont think $500-$600 xrp is possible (unless bitcoin tears up to $1mil), I dont think bnb is any better.  What happens the day Binance goes out of business, do we really NEED bnb?  It basically exists as long as Binance does.  Every company comes and goes at a certain point, I hate to be sitting on a lot of bnb when they fold.  Also 80 mil coins of the 200mil were save for the binamce team.  Thats a rediculous amount really.

Almost impossible. The marketcap of ETH is way beyond and their price. $589 is just too much of a pipe dream. People only buy XRP just so they can withdraw to cash out and this is because the fees save a lot. 

If there is just a reason why someone will keep XRP to speculate this high, I would be keeping it. This coin had been around since immemorial but you can not see this moon for a reason like they have some innovation at all.

I don't think that expectations would come to possibility in the future, unless someone who is a whale or a Millionaire will fund xrp. Trading all alone as long as demand takes place won't contribute that much expensive value. However, if we're saving xrp right now I guess we will soon benefit once it reaches at least $100 optimum value.

If that price happen, then expect XRP to place on top again since the price is not the real basis but its whole value in the market, and its called market cap. But yeah, this is just a dream and maybe if this price happen then ETH is around $10k that time, so in short this is not an easy battle between ETH and XRP, they are competing very hard.

Not even in a million years you can dream about the price of XRP crossing the $10 valuation let alone challenging the ETH market price. If you are talking about the total market capital then they are pretty much close and with the unlimited amount of coins for both ETH and XRP i wont be surprised even if it might come close to the bitcoin market capital during 2017  :P.

It's still too difficult for XRP to get close to Ethereum or get past, let's see that the market cap is still too far away. need more injections so that xrp can get close or maybe want to compete.
but it will likely be very difficult to replace, as ethereum is still an idol for exchanges and a benchmark for growth for new altcoins.

Lol, I have already seen a lot of crazy predictions, but a price of 589$ for 1 XPR, we will never ever see. I would already be glad if XRP would reach 5$.
With the airdrop coming in 3 days, I would have expected that the price would get another pump, but it seems to be quite stable right now around 0.56 to 0.62$.

If I'm not mistaken XRP had Surpassed Ethereum couple of times last year ?or 2018? i just cant remember but that happens because of massive investments entering the ripple network.

But that did not long every took over only last hours or days then Ethereum reclaim the position again.
Maybe this can happen if the 2.0 version of ETH did not succeed and XRP airdrop make a difference since they are both having staking now in binance.

If the airdrop makes XRP go to the moon, it will be good for the XRP investors because they will make a big profit from XRP. Many investors of XRP will always wait for that moment, but I think it is difficult to see XRP will reach that price. Maybe XRP can increase more than by $1-$5, but it will need longer to rise to that price. But if there is a big pump for XRP, I am sure that will happen quickly, but then the price will go down and will not stay at that high price. Let's see what will happen to XRP.

It's possible but it's not realistic anymore, best chance XRP to increase in the near future is $10, I don't even think it will reach at $100 considering it's volume are mostly own by institution and the team itself have a big share on the pie, so I would say no for now.

There are many users has high expectations on xrp just because of the airdrop were people invest in. During these days price is difficult to break even at $1 or above it. Reaching $589 per xrp I doubt it if there is a massive growth and will funds xrp than ethereum I think there's a chance. However, let's just look also on ethereum improvement with the launched it is progressive and still on top amongst other altcoin.

I did not bother to check the video and the article you just have to check the price history and the volume and you'll get the answer, XRP price is not moving at all in the last three years there was pump but not a big pump the only time it get pump big time was the announcement of the flare token but not enough to get the price to $1.

It is true. As for the price issue, I doubt that XRP's price can catch up with ethereum's price. Even when the XRP price hit the $ 100 mark, I'm not sure Ethereum's price is still $ 500. ethereum's price might have hit $ 2k by then. however, the potential is still there, but given the current conditions, it is simply unrealistic.

What you said is right, many people have super high expectation on XRP, they are not comparing how far the coin is progressing in the real world. ETH has a higher option in order to develop under this ETH block chain, even the supply of XRP is too much high, it is impossible for XRP to reach that much higher price.

Although i never envisioned this, but i think it can be done :)  This market has a lot of surprises that we cannot believe, maybe at present this number is crazy but maybe in the future things will be different, there will be many influencing factors. And I think if $ 589 per 1 XRP then $ 589 is worth buying a pack of cigarettes :)

It looks like the bullish trend that's happening with ripple caused by the bitcoin bullish trend. If there will be another bad news to come and then XRP will be dumping again back to the 20 cents.
This coin is totally overvalued at this moment without a good usability. XRP must be replaced by the XLM.

Sad to say that it is not going to be possible because of the ongoing SEC lawsuit and exchanges are starting to suspend and delist this coin. Despite that it rise a bit from $0.18 to $0.32, the future remains uncertain for XRP.

P.S. I’ve subscribed to VoskCoin’s Youtube channel for a long while until now.

Negative sentiment is very influential. For the future, after I read a lot of information about Xrp, it is possible to further delay buying or investing here because several large companies have sold their Xrp digital asset holdings after  negative sentiment.

From a fundamental point of view the Xrp is currently not very good based on what I have observed.

What are your thoughts on XRPs future? the recent price spike was pretty surprising lol some exchanges like KuCoin are really pushing XRP trading -- They view it as a way to get new users and more volume (thus fees) I guess

Hmmmh I know anything is actually possible in crypto but to be honest here XRP will never pass ETH no matter what tech it introduce except maybe replace human beings brain with its blockchain Is really totally crazy for that to happen with all thats going on with ETH and its tech.. ETH ofcourse has it issues but so is XRP and lets not forget the community on ETH

ETH continue to provide updates and the community are very active supporting this project, while in the otherside after this SEC issue XRP are losing support as there are many centralized exchange who are now delisting this coin, from what the state of this coin right now, the value might have a huge difficulty to raise that amount.

And with surpassing ETH, maybe once they've settle and resolve the issue with SEC and if supports shows interest it may happened but for now, it will be very tough for this project.

I think in the same way, there has been people predicting for a long time that the price of bitcoin will eventually reach one million dollars and more and while they have been wrong about the date in which they believed this was going to happen at least we can say their prediction has a chance of becoming true during the next decades, but XRP surpassing ETH in price is not going to happen, XRP has 45 billion coins in circulation while ETH has 114 million coins in circulation that is 394x the amount of coins that ETH has so any person can see this is simply impossible unless ETH value becomes zero.

XRP has been experiencing the bad days due to the lawsuit from SEC, followed is the continued delisting from exchanges. If the exchanges were audited for XRP, it'll also create a big problem. For now getting delisted also seems to be good in my opinion. The market volume has been affected drastically, however the team works hard to keep up its market. For sure it'll bounce back, but it was fearful to make an investment at its lowest price as the government is taking action against it.

The SEC case against Ripple answered that question. For a very long time, Ethereum's position will not be threatened by any other cryptocurrency.
However, te future depends mainly on the court's verdict. If it is bad for Ripple, it will likely be the final end of this coin. However, if the verdict is in favor of XRP, then a huge pump of its price will certainly occur and then many scenarios can happen.

XRP is at least for the time being is no longer a threat to the position of ETH in the market however that does not means that it is completely safe if we see an important increase in the price of bitcoin then USDT could go grow massively as well as there will be more demand for it and its market cap could increase very fast, and while many think that the market cap of ETH will grow as well in that scenario most likely USDT will move faster in those conditions and could eventually take the second spot out of ETH.

This would have been great if this can be attained but it sounds unattainable. Ethereum and XRP aren't anything similar nature or structure. And the acceptance that ethereum is enjoying in the Cryptocurrency world is second to none. There is no way XRP can surpass ethereum even with another fact that ethereum isn't Decentralized.

The reason the price was rising at the time was because of the then Impending airdrop for the holders. Snapshot of XRP holders was supposed to be taken for them to get a new token at the time. And we all saw how the price fell two days after the snapshot of the holders was completely taken.

It's generous, but it's like an illusion.  I do not deny the value that XRP creates when it holds TOP 10 markets and 2 times surpasses ETH for 2nd place. But honestly, I would be surprised if XRP is above $ 500. Total  the supply is enormous and the drive towards an annual "utility currency" + supply is controlled.  That would be crazy.

Actually, the future of XRP is still being questioned by many parties, ever since the SEC sued XRP. Many exchanges are starting to delist XRP,
so there is no point investing in XRP right now, until there is clarity regarding the SEC's suit against XRP. That way it is increasingly unlikely
that XRP will surpass ETH, because Ethereum has a very extraordinary performance. Even now the price of Ethereum continues to rise closer
to the price of ATH, in contrast to XRP which is stable at $ 0.2.

Ripple to surpass ethereum? I can't see that happening, even in the nearest future. Already, polkadot has surpassed ripple already, in terms of market capitalization. Even for ripple to overtake polkadot will be difficult. This is because with it's developmental roadmap, it is already getting more attention. For ripple to outperform ethereum and polkadot will only be possible if they stop developing. Even ripple reaching it's January 2017 all time high price of $3.36 this may will be difficult.

I think a person just has his own thoughts and as we can see they are too fantastic for xrp to cost 589 dollars, God forbid, maybe in 50 years.
