what was their job or occupation before they become the bitcoin whales?

i guess they had other job before the bitcoin right? or how they made a living?

Answerable I think through basic reasoning. Whales are those who transfer huge amount of a crypto from one wallet to another one, perhaps Bitcoin. In order to somewhat alter the price in the market, huge amount is a requirement and with that being said, whales are more likely to be rich. So chances are high that most of them are business owners because that's the only way to generate huge money and to turn it into another investment. Bottomline is we don't know because they do not usually show their personality to the masses.

Whatever their jobs or business sure they have millions of holdings in $$$ before they started investing bitcoin/cryptocurrency, or they're one of the OG holding bitcoin when that was just a penny and sold their holdings after ATH for a particular year.

For the current year, exchanges and other venture capitalists are the known whales, Go check Winklevoss Twins, tim draper and Barry Silbert.

If someone owns a lot of Bitcoin it doesn't mean they don't have other jobs like owning a business or being a corporate man. Heck one can be still be a waiter if he likes it haha

I'm sure there are Bitcoin whales from very different background but people from IT are surely predominant. Like let's be serious. Who knew or mined Bitcoin other than people who are very passionate about technology?

It depends, some would have job while some would not, also some were once student. Just know that some will have job because it is from the money they get from the job they bought bitcoin, while some might have known the benefit bitcoin will bring and start mining bitcoin. At the time I believe some students that were exposed to what bitcoin was were also able to use their computers to mine bitcoin, bitcoin mining difficulty was not an issue at the time, and they mine thousands of bitcoin in a month. So it depends on life experience of individuals, some may not have job but even mining bitcoin to sell in order to get sell it for fiat and accumulatimg part of it.

well they got to be someone who are good witht the money and finances:

bankers, wall street banks some financial guys even secret service law enforcement...and even criminals black market criminals , but they got to have education likely someone with financial and trading background.

*Whales are definitely those who don't care about money anymore, their only goal is to make the market like their toy...
I am sure whales must come from various backgrounds, some are businessmen, sons of officials, successful traders, or aristocrats.

Most of the time whales are custodial services.
They hold a lot of bitcoin from their investors.  But it is  not truly their  bitcoin, they just hold the fundaand control it for them.

There are some individuals which may be considered whales, like early adoptors, but I believe that most of time it's a group of people

This is actually on the personal side of things but we can make up some common sense type of reaction or response then what make them as considered as whales?

-Inheritance or simply saying that theyre already rich
-Early adopter/ Where they had invested or able to earn coins while bitcoin or other alts is still into its earliest days.
-Job? Most likely and majority of whales neither an institution or an individual.

Whales can be classified into different category yet not all would really be on the same situation on how they do acquire they fame capability or capacity.
The thing here is that they are really that capable on moving up things since they are financially capabled.

its look like group of people with large funds and then one or more whales to operate with their funds.
but what qualities or skills you do need to have that group of people with the large capital will come to you like....hey  can you handle our funds and be the whale

I don't think they would be someone who work 9 to 6 or from working class people but rather they would be rich businessmen who are already settled in life but wants to be ultra rich and control the market thus they cash ina nd out a huge amount of money to change th market flow as per their benefit. Mostly whales would be politicans and businessmen but sometimes it might be someone anonymous who has massive wealth.

They could be international student that were interested in pursuing academic endeavors relating to better our understanding in decentralized network protocol,

and happened to had received 100's of coinbase transactions by getting coins necessary to conduct study about an  decade ago, by leaving laptop running for month to collect packet statistics as part of our dissertation

Being a rich is not a big task.You need to inverse certain money for the start of business. Let you should use both time and money effectively to get more mone from it.The rich people most work between the same 6-9 for the regular work.For additional important meeting, they may search of some time on house.

Maybe some of them are early adopter that accumulate Bitcoins when the value is Penny?

Or maybe they are corporate owners that saw the opportunity in Bitcoin investing years back.

But one thing is for sure ,that they will not just broadcast that they are whales.

It's private and no one knows who the whales are. You can have a guess about who they really are and just imagine that they're all economists, business owners and investors.

Of course they do and they make a living through their ventures and things that I've mentioned.

Whales have an impact on the market for their own benefit they make a living by changing their market conditions for the sake of their livelihood due to which traders and investors suffer a lot but if bitcoin includes whales they will not be able to exert their influence for very long. As investors seek to invest in bitcoin to make a living whales can do nothing about bitcoin that's why bitcoin stays in its previous place and the price goes up merchants are very profitable politicians have no interference.

I think there are different type of whales. The first group is just rich, if you have tons of fiat currency and want to diversify its pretty easy to buying larger amounts of bitcoins over time. The second group is people who became rich though bitcoins. If you managed to buy a lot of Bitcoin's when the price was below 100 USD and just hold them until today, you are a whale now. I would assume these people have atleast some form of IT background.

For sure they were rich before they had bitcoins because only rich person can buy a lot of bitcoins and become whales. Also whales are not necessarily one person. They may be group of persons who maybe running big factories or brands owners. Currently institutions are buying a lot of bitcoins and they maybe the future whales.

They have their own living with their family, alone, or always in front of their computer. Maybe they have jobs in their real life, and they found bitcoin as the way to make more money. Maybe one of them stays here and hide their identity from other people. Well, we don't know much about them. But I believe that some rich people already buy bitcoin secretly without telling the public and holding bitcoin in their wallets.

obviously before becoming whales they did another profitable job such as bankers or fiat traders, to make whales they need large initial capital, investments therefore they come from well-rewarded jobs that I believe they continue to do even if they also do crypto trading
