I just heard eth staking started. Does that mean gpu mining will cease soon? If so, when? Any intel?

looks like miners will not be removed either, I heard that the algorithms that Ethereum uses are PoW and PoS,
of course this is what makes Ethereum very attractive, even though it can be mined, investors can also stake.

Sounds awesome, miners are also stakers. I know the feeling of those miners who mine coins and wait for a bull to have profits or ROI.  I was a miner but not full-time. Because it really sucks to see your electric bill surge kuat to have a little crypto.
Eth is just having a nice leap, well let's see what cones next after. I was worried for it eth because at the time BTC hit 19k usd, eth was around 1k or more but now it's lower so I am thinking they should have a move.

Don't worry, ETH POW mining will still be possible for the next 2 years.

If not before 1 year.

The ETH POS miner has started, but more stability tests are still needed...

You can still mine Ethereum right now probably into 2021 because the switch won't happen instantly, it will take time as the POW algorithm will slowly fade away and the upgrade will be completed, this might take even a month or two to complete, if you have a eth miner keep mining while it lasts

It's going to take a very long time before Ethereum goes out if POW business, probably another 12 months I guess, for now I suggest you keep mining Ethereum, before the whole chain moved finally into proof of Staking algo will definitely take time

Where did you hear that from? because if you hear through someone else who says that, why don't you clearly ask him? and if you read it on a site, why don't you try to browse the source so that the news you read can be clearer.

Nope, not unless the Bitcoin will be staked base which I think is impossible. Well it's nice that the Ethereum have a stake option but not because the Ethereum applied a staking doesn't mean it's the end of the GPU mining.

Yes gpu miners that are built for Ethereum mining will stop when Ethereum fully goes with POS but this isn't happening anytime sooner, it might take longer for the whole process to be completed, maybe a year or two but even if that happens there are other options left, miners will only need to change wallet address for a new coin and probably mining software too and start mining another coin
